Reasons given for flooding to increase 20% by 2030:
Rising oceans
Increase in population
And to fix it: cut fossil fuels.
Or else the suspected increase in floods will affect more minorities.
Note the maps shown only depict 1) areas with the highest COSTS of flooding and 2) where flooding is expected to increase over the next 30 years from climate change.
I found this article when I was looking for a pin map of flood disasters in the last 2 decades There isn’t one. However there is a list which bears out the ‘white impoverished areas’. If I get some time I’ll plot them on a USA map.
