Tariff Windfall Drives Surprise $27 Billion US Budget Surplus In June
New data from the Treasury Department show that surging tariff revenues in June helped the U.S. government post an unexpected budget surplus of $27 billion, offering a rare fiscal bright spot amid persistently high federal deficits and suggesting that President Donald Trump’s tariff policies are becoming a significant source of government revenue. After running a $316 billion deficit in May, the government recorded a surplus of just over $27 billion last month, according to data released on July 11 by the Treasury Department. The tariff windfall helped narrow the fiscal year-to-date deficit to $1.34 trillion—a slight 1 percent improvement from the same period last year. By contrast, June 2024 saw a $71 billion deficit.A key driver of the improved balance was a record-breaking surge in customs duties. The Treasury data released on Friday show that tariff collections soared to $27 billion in June alone, pushing total tariff revenues since October to $108 billion—the highest ever recorded for the first nine months of a fiscal year. June’s haul marked a significant jump from May’s prior record of $22 billion and was about 93 percent higher than the $56 billion collected during the same nine-month span of the previous year.
So far in July, customs duties have added another $2.4 billion to federal coffers, according to daily Treasury figures.

Can Jay Powell Make It Through The Weekend?
Is the Fed chairman, Jay Powell, going to make it through the weekend? There is talk that he is being forced to resign….
President Trump, of course, is on his case daily for not dropping interest rates in line with low inflation.Late yesterday, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency that regulates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and oversees the 11 federal home loan banks, William Pulte, issued a statement, saying: “I’m encouraged by reports that Jerome Powell is considering resigning. I think this will be the right decision for America, and the economy will boom.”
Yesterday, the Office of Management and Budget’s director, Russ Vought, condemned Mr. Powell for his gross mismanagement of what Mr. Vought calls the palace of Versailles.
Mr. Vought said: “We saw Chairman Powell. He was too late to recognize inflation, and now he’s too late to lower rates. And the Fed has just mismanaged the institution. And we see that the extent to which they’ve been operating at losses for a number of years now is for the first time in their history.”
He added: “And then you just see a very practical example when you go to the nation’s mall. You see the construction of this palace, in the words of one former official, upwards of $2.5 billion, massive cost overrun.”
And this $2.5 billion monstrosity of Mr. Powell’s is already over budget by $700 million.
Mr. Vought second-guessed Mr. Powell’s Senate testimony that there’s no VIP dining room, no new marble, no special elevators, no new water features, no bee hives, and no roof terrace garden in the Fed’s renovated office complex.
Mr. Vought noted that the Fed’s Taj Mahal is way out of compliance with the National Capital Planning Act.
Mr. Powell has long argued that he can’t be replaced except “for cause.”
Yet this kind of blatant financial mismanagement over the Fed’s new building and the renovations of the old building — mismanagement that Mr. Powell denied under oath — could well represent sufficient “cause” to force his resignation, or even be fired by Mr. Trump.
Meanwhile, economists are pointing out that the Fed is hemorrhaging cash as its interest expenses exceed interest taken in.
And their $6 trillion-plus bond portfolio is underwater by $1.1 trillion.
This has all the earmarks of the bankruptcy of the Silicon Valley Bank, that went under in March of 2023 — and almost pulled the financial system down with it.
So, now the question is: Can Mr. Powell even make it through the weekend?

Siberian Pipeline Blast Reportedly Halts Gas Flow to Russian Arms Factories
A major explosion struck a gas pipeline in the Russian city of Langepas, located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of western Siberia, on the evening of July 10, according to Ukrainian intelligence sources cited by Militarnyi.
The damaged pipeline reportedly supplied gas to defense industry facilities in the Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, and Sverdlovsk regions—key hubs for Russia’s military-industrial complex.
According to the Militarnyi sources, the pipeline section that was destroyed had an annual capacity of 2.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
At the time of the explosion, approximately 4 million cubic meters of gas were present in the affected segment, leading to immediate losses estimated at $1.3 million based on current market prices.
The explosion also triggered a prolonged fire, with satellite data from NASA’s FIRMS project confirming significant thermal anomalies west of Langepas in the city’s industrial zone. The blaze reportedly burned for several hours before emergency services were able to contain it.Sources estimates that repairs and testing will take up to a month due to the pipeline’s location in a marshy area, complicating access and restoration efforts. During this period, gas supply is expected to fall by 25 million cubic meters, which sources assesses will result in indirect financial losses of approximately $76 million.
Local Russian media and residents reported hearing loud blasts near the industrial area around 11 p.m. Emergency responders and repair teams were seen arriving at the site shortly after.
This incident follows a similar event in March near Vladivostok, where explosions damaged the “Vladivostok” main gas pipeline and an adjacent water supply system. According to Ukrainian intelligence, that pipeline provided gas to military facilities along the Sea of Japan, including units of Russia’s 155th Naval Infantry Brigade.
Some sections of the Vladivostok pipeline had only recently been commissioned earlier this year. The destruction of the nearby water pipeline disrupted water supply to military garrisons in the region.
Earlier, on July 11, Ukraine’s 429th “Achilles” drone battalion released footage showing the destruction of a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system in the Kharkiv region. The $14 million system was targeted in a precision drone strike, along with additional Russian armor, including a tank and APC.

Epstein – Bondi – Deep State
Pam Bondi has made perhaps the most serious mistake of her entire life that she will look back on for years to come. Epstein’s saga was not some pedophile BS – it was the most sophisticated blackmail organization in modern history. As I have said before, I was personally warned that they would use women to try to get into my operation. That was back in the ’90s. This was nothing more than a honey-pot operation. It is understandable that Bondi has not found any “incriminating ‘client list‘” related to Epstein, triggering significant backlash among both Democrats and Republicans, when this was really a blackmail operation, not pedophiles.
The real question remains FOR WHOM WAS EPSTEIN OPERATING? Was this for the CIA or the Mossad? People wrongly think that releasing the “client list” will expose pedophiles. If that were the only issue, the Democrats had these files before the election and would have used them. Nevertheless, the MAGA base would like to see Trump FIRE Blondi without a doubt. She has become a massive liability and will impact the elections in 2026. Bondi has refused to tell the truth, pretending there are no files, rather than explaining that this was a blackmail scheme operating for some intelligence operation was the wrong move.Even the Daily Mail is now reporting the chaos at the FBI and the rumblings behind the curtain that even Kash Patel and deputy Dan Bongino are considering quitting over Epstein files after a furious clash with Pam Bondi. Even though Trump had promised transparency, this is a scandal for which his presidency will also be remembered. Granted, this is far from just some pedophile operation. This one dives head-first into the Deep State. As far as Maxwell being in jail, in New York City, after she was found guilty following a one-month jury trial, of:
conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts,
conspiracy to transport minors to participate in illegal sex acts, transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts, sex trafficking
conspiracy, and sex trafficking of a minor.
CONSPIRACY is the favorite of tyrants, for you do not have to prove you even committed a crime. All you need to prove is that there was an agreement – nothing more. So there does not have to be a client list. All they had to tell the jury was that Maxwell agreed with Epstein to get 16-17-year-old girls to entice their targets for blackmail. They did not have to prove that they had sex with a target. They did not have to prove that any target KNEW the girl was 17 vs 18. The jury only needs to find that you agreed to anything. Then you are guilty. Suppose Bill Gates was friends with Epstein to have him blackmail people to force them to do some mandatory vaccine or climate change agenda. That, too, would be a conspiracy. Gates could go to prison for 20 years based solely on such an agreement.
The two-page memo regarding the client list read: “This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’ There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. … “We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
