Fuck Jordan Sather, we haven't been saying yes to everything Trump says. I love Trump and am grateful to Trump, and am with him all the way, but I've always strongly disagreed on his "school choice" plan. The thing that make schools good isn't money and teachers, it's great parents. Great parents are what makes a school good. So the problem with school choice is that bad parents will want to send their kids to schools that are "good schools" without realizing that if those schools start taking kids from other neighborhoods who have bad parents, the entire school will crumble to nothing. That happened with the schools in the 1980's when they started bussing kids in from bad neighborhoods. Those kids don't rise to the occasion, they bring the rest of the kids down due to violence and a lack of respect for the staff, teachers and other kids. School choice sucks. Good parents sacrifice to move to neighborhoods with good schools, bad parents just send their kids off to good schools thinking that they'll become good through osmosis which doesn't happen.
