Amanda Krueger was a nun working in a hospital, and was raped by over 100 psychopaths. She became pregnant with a son, who was named Freddy. Later in his life, he became a murderer in Springwood notorious for killing children. The media labeled him the Springwood Slasher. He was apprehended, but later released because of a technicality. According to the original film, it was because someone didn't sign the search warrant in the appropriate place. The parents of the children tracked him down and found him in the boiler room where he took his victims. The parents poured gas into the room and set him on fire, which caused his melted-like facial features.

Egon von Kaschnitz Obituary

Egon von Kaschnitz

Oct 12, 1930 - Nov 13, 2015

Egon von Kaschnitz passed away on November 13, 2015, in his home in Orinda, CA, following a courageous two year battle with throat cancer. Egon was born on October 12, 1930, to Austrian parents, Rudolf Kaschnitz von Weinberg and Beatrice Sauerbrey, in Guatemala, where his maternal grandfather owned a coffee plantation. In 1931, Egon and his parents returned to Austria. Egon spent his childhood in Vienna and Gmunden, his ancestral home near Salzburg. After World War II, the family returned to Guatemala. In 1947, at age 16, Egon bravely set off alone for the Bay Area to complete his education. He attended Alameda High School and then entered University of California, Berkeley. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics (1951) and he received an M.A. in International Economics (1954). A personal highlight of his time in Berkeley was living at International House, which is known for promoting greater understanding and friendships among individuals from different cultural backgrounds. During his years at Berkeley, Egon met the love of his life, Joan Ehrenzweig. They married in December 1954, and were fortunate to have 60 years together.

In 1954, Egon was drafted into the U.S. Army. His tour of duty took them to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and then Germany, where he was assigned as an interpreter in the Public Information Division at Headquarters in Heidelberg. Egon and Joan retuned to Berkeley thereafter to continue their studies. After graduating with his M.B.A. from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley in 1959, Egon spent 5 years with a large accounting firm before becoming a partner at the CPA firm Kimbell, McKenna and von Kaschnitz, LLP (currently Armenino, LLP). Combining his entrepreneurial spirit and professional expertise, Egon was also a co-founder and director of the Concord Commercial Bank (now U.S. Bank), and he was CEO of Zierer Visa and Passport Services. Joan and Egon lived in Berkeley and eventually settled in Orinda with their two daughters.

Egon was profoundly grateful to the University of California, Berkeley, for providing him the education which served as a foundation for his career and his life in the United States. He generously and actively supported the University of California (Builders of Berkeley).
