So what's the actual penalty for treason?
Treason is defined on the federal level in Article III, Section 3 of the United States Constitution as "only in levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
Penalty: Under U.S. Code Title 18, the penalty is death, or not less than five years' imprisonment (with a minimum fine of $10,000, if not sentenced to death). Any person convicted of treason against the United States also forfeits the right to hold public office in the United States.

Julius Rosenberg and Ethel Greenglass were an American married couple who were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union, including providing top-secret information about American radar, sonar, jet propulsion engines, and nuclear weapon designs. Convicted of espionage in 1951, they were executed by the federal government of the United States in 1953 using New York's state execution chamber in Sing Sing in Ossining, New York, becoming the first American civilians to be executed for such charges and the first to be executed during peacetime.
The execution was scheduled for 11 p.m. the evening of June 19, during the Sabbath, which begins and ends around sunset. Bloch asked for more time, filing a complaint that execution on the Sabbath offended the defendants' Jewish heritage. The defense's strategy backfired. Kaufman, who stated his concerns about executing the Rosenbergs on the Sabbath, rescheduled the execution for 8 p.m.—before sunset and the Sabbath—the regular time for executions at Sing Sing where they were being held.
>Jonatan Urich
Jonatan Urich, a key adviser to the prime minister, faces charges related to allegations that he and another aide extracted classified documents from the military and leaked them to the press, pending a hearing.
Possible charges were also announced for Israel Prison Service chief Kobi Yaakobi, a close associate of Ben Gvir, accused of tipping off another senior officer, allegedly in Ben Gvir’s thrall, that he was being investigated for covering up Jewish nationalist violence.
The announcements of pending indictments came as a yearslong, escalating feud between Netanyahu’s government, which accuses Baharav-Miara of thwarting its every move, and the attorney general, who accuses the government of acting unlawfully, appeared to near its apex.
>Decapitated young donkeys found beneath ancient Canaanite homes could represent the earliest roots of the Jewish donkey-redemption ritual
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petter_chamor
Redemption of the firstborn, is a mitzvah in Judaism in which a male firstborn (bechor) donkey is redeemed by the owner of the donkey, who gives a lamb or kid to a Kohen. The lamb is not required to be firstborn.
The mitzvah applies to the firstborn male offspring of a Jewish-owned donkey. The donkey retains a level of holiness and is forbidden for work. The redemption transfers the holiness to another animal, such as a cow, goat or sheep, so that the donkey can be used for work. The other animal is then given to a Kohen who usually eats it. The ceremony is similar to the redemption of a firstborn male, a pidyon haben when a month-old male child is redeemed with silver coins given to a Kohen.
The mitzvah, albeit rare in modern times, is listed as an "obligation of the body" and thus applies in the diaspora as well as the Land of Israel.

‘Superwoke’: Fox News rages that new Superman film has ‘pro-immigrant themes’
‘It’s about human kindness and obviously there will be jerks out there who are just not kind and will take it as offensive just because it is about kindness,’ Superman director James Gunn said last week, setting off a MAGA outrage cycle.
All of this, in some ways, shouldn’t feel as unusual as it does. Superman’s roots are in the complications of American identity and assimilation. The character is the invention of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, children of Jewish émigrés to North America, who wrote their comics while Europe was experiencing the rise of fascism.

>They would therefore be Canaanite rituals the jews are performing.
Canaan is the father of Sidon, his firstborn; and of the Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans scattered, and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

The alumbrados, also called the Illuminati, were the practitioners of a mystical form of Christianity in the Crown of Castile during the 15th–16th centuries.
The alumbrados held that the human soul can reach such a degree of perfection that it can even in the present life contemplate the essence of God and comprehend the mystery of the Trinity. All external worship, they declared, is superfluous, the reception of the sacraments useless, and sin impossible in this state of complete union with God. Persons in this state of impeccability could indulge their sexual desires and commit other sinful acts freely without staining their souls.

Jeffery Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is ready to reveal 'truth' of the pedophile client list, say insiders. So, why are Republicans blocking her?
Despite the rumors, Ghislaine was never offered any kind of plea deal. She would be more than happy to sit before Congress and tell her story.
No-one from the government has ever asked her to share what she knows. She remains the only person to be jailed in connection to Epstein and she would welcome the chance to tell the American public the truth.

A Landscape of Death: What’s Left Where Ukraine Invaded Russia
Ukraine’s surprise incursion into western Russia last summer quickly overran Sudzha, a little town in Kursk near the border that hosts a transit station for a natural gas pipeline. Ukrainian forces also held a swath of nearby countryside dotted with villages.
Fighting raged around the civilians trapped here for months, including bombardment by the Russian military. They also endured a Russian winter with scant access to heating, medicine and other essentials.
The regional governor has put the civilian death toll of those months at more than 300 people, with nearly 600 missing, totals that could not be independently verified. Many Sudzha residents, in interviews there and in evacuation shelters, said they had helped to bury at least a dozen neighbors. Some said they had buried 40 or more.
Then there were the unburied.
When I visited the area in March, the fields were scattered with carcasses of cows and pigs, and with the corpses of civilians and soldiers. The uniforms visible among the fallen were mostly Russian.
Amid shattered homes, other bodies had lain decomposing for months, seemingly untouched, the circumstances of their deaths unknown.

Excerpts From The Times’s Interview With Biden on Clemency Decisions
The former president said he “made every single one of those” decisions and that Republicans were questioning them because “they’ve done so badly” and wanted to shift the focus.
Former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. spoke to The New York Times by phone on Thursday about clemency actions he granted toward the end of his term. Mr. Biden did not personally sign the official warrants recording those decisions; rather his White House staff used an autopen device to do so.
President Trump and his allies have since called into question Mr. Biden’s mental acuity and seized on the use of the autopen. Mr. Trump has denounced the pardons and commutations as illegitimate and claimed that Mr. Biden’s staff conspired to run the presidency in his name using the device. Both the Justice Department and congressional Republicans have opened investigations.
Mr. Biden granted large batch commutations to reduce the sentences of three categories of federal convicts: shielding about 1,500 people who had been serving home confinement since the pandemic from being forced back to prison; reducing the sentences of about 2,500 nonviolent drug offenders to what they would have received under current policies; and turning the sentences of 37 of the 40 inmates on death row into life without parole.
He also granted pardons to several people whose cases have received political attention, including pre-emptive pardons to people who had drawn the ire of Mr. Trump.
Among them were members and staff of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 Capitol attack along with Capitol Police officers who testified before the panel, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the retired Gen. Mark A. Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and members of Mr. Biden’s family.

In 2024, in an installation called "Dead Man's Switch," Molodkin placed $45M worth of Rembrandt, Picasso and Warhol masterpieces in a 29-tonne, 13 ft by 9 ft Swiss safe at his studio. The safe contains a pneumatic pump connecting two barrels, one with acid powder and the other with an accelerator that could cause a chemical reaction strong enough to turn the safe's contents to debris within two hours. Molodkin says he'll destroy the artwork if Julian Assange dies in prison, or if the police and activists tries to seize the artwork from him
