Ukraine shuts down Unity Ministry after its head reportedly fled – MP

The department tasked with bringing Ukrainians home was dismantled after Aleksey Chernyshov allegedly fled the country to avoid a corruption probe

The Ukrainian government has dismantled the Ministry of National Unity, which was led by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Chernyshov, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak has claimed. The move comes after the official was accused of fleeing the country amid a corruption scandal.

Chernyshov, who was tasked with overseeing the return of Ukrainian citizens from abroad, has been at the center of an investigation involving the alleged illegal transfer of state land in exchange for luxury housing. Ukrainian media has reported that several of the suspects are his former subordinates, and one of the properties under investigation is linked to his former head of security.

Last month, when visiting Austria along with Vladimir Zelensky, several journalists claimed that Chernyshov had failed to return to Ukraine, speculating that he had gone into hiding to avoid the probe. Ukrainian MP Artyom Dmitruk and journalist Anatoly Shariy, both exiled critics of the current Ukrainian government, noted that Chernyshov’s supposed escape seemed to coincide with the criminal investigation against him gaining traction.

Chernyshov’s office has denied any connection between his foreign travel and the criminal probe. Zelensky later referred to the trip as an official assignment, and Chernyshov subsequently announced his return to Ukraine.

However, according to Zheleznyak, Chernyshov has now been dismissed and his ministry formally abolished and mergedwith other departments in an effort to avoid framing the move as a “liquidation of unity.”

This comes amid reports thatKiev’s leadership has been increasingly mired in what The Economist has described as “palace politics”and bitter infighting. The outlet’s sources have suggested that the turmoil is linked to Andrey Yermak, the powerful head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, who is seen as actively sidelining other key figures close to the Ukrainian leader.

The reported liquidation of the Unity Ministry comes amid a sweeping reshuffle within the government.Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has been replaced by Yulia Sviridenko and will reportedly take over the Defense Ministry, while Rustem Umerov, the outgoing defense chief, has reportedly been tapped to serve as ambassador to the US.

Zelensky moves to retain presidential powers

Martial law is expected to be prolonged for another three months in Ukraine, once again extending the term of the country’s leader

Ukraine’s VladimirZelensky has requested that parliament prolong martial law for another 90 days. Previously, he invoked the state of emergency as grounds for remaining in office beyond the expiration of his term as president last year.

On Monday, the presidential office submitted legislation to prolong martial law, which was imposed in 2022 following the escalation of the conflict with Russia, until at least November 5.Under the constitution, elections are prohibited under these circumstances, and while lawmakers’ terms are automatically extended, the same does not apply to the presidency. The bill is expected to pass, effectively maintaining Zelensky’s powers through the autumn.

Ukrainian opposition figures, including former President Pyotr Poroshenko, as well as civil society groups, international watchdogs, and Western media, have expressed concern that Zelensky’s wartime powers could lead to a lasting erosion of democratic freedoms. Earlier this month, The Economist reported that the government has become entangled in “palace politics” and internal strife.

The British magazine pointed to presidential chief of staff Andrey Yermak as a key figure in the administration’s authoritarian tilt, saying he wields significant influence through a “strange co-dependency” with Zelensky.

Zelensky rejected accusations of authoritarianism in an interview with BBC Russian last week, saying, “I will not be president for 30 or 35 years. I won’t, trust me.”He added that his self-respect and family relationships depend on stepping down eventually.

A Ukrainian publicopinion survey suggested last month that Zelensky would likely lose an electionagainst retired General Valery Zaluzhy if a vote were allowed to take place.

Russia views Zelensky unfit to sign international agreements, arguing that any treaty he signs could later be deemed illegitimate.

In a separate legislative proposal introduced Monday, the presidential office requested an extension of the draft. The country has relied on mandatory conscription to replenish military casualties, though recruitment efforts have faced backlash due to harsh enforcement tactics, which have alienated segments of the population.

BREAKING: Project Veritas: Text Messages Show Secret Service Agent Disclosing Operational Details to Stranger, Disparaging President Trump

By Cristina Laila Jul. 14, 2025

One year after Secret Service security failures led to an assassination attempt against President Trump…

Project Veritas on Monday released text messages from a Secret Service Agent inviting a stranger to the White House, disclosing operational details, and disparaging President Trump.

Without knowing her identity, Secret Service Agent Marc Hendrickson invited a female Project Veritas journalist to the White House.

The undercover journalist expressed her hatred for President Trump to which Hendrickson replied, “Yeah, he’s doing a lot of whacky shit right now.”

Via Project Veritas:

Text messages with Hendrickson reveal this agent engaging in egregious violations of Secret Service safety and confidentiality protocols. Without knowing the identity of our female journalist, Hendrickson:

  1. Invited her to “come say hi” to him at the White House, a secure facility central to national security.

  1. Sent a photo from the White House, boasting that he works there “every day.”

3.Disclosed sensitive operational details, stating, “I’m in protection, I travel with protectees and provide access control wherever they are.”

4.Made disparaging remarks about the Commander-in-Chief, claiming President Trump is “doing a lot of wacky shit right now.”

Hendrickson’s reckless actions – inviting an unknown individual to the White House, sharing sensitive photos, and disclosing operational details – expose a severe lapse in judgment and a dangerous breach of security. This behavior reveals how easily he could be compromised or manipulated by adversaries, potentially granting hostile actors critical access or intelligence that jeopardizes the safety of President Trump and the nation.

This betrayal is particularly chilling as it coincides with the one-year anniversary of the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt on President Trump– a stark reminder of the relentless threats facing our leaders. Hendrickson’s conduct mocks the Secret Service’s motto, “Worthy of Trust and Confidence,” and erodes public trust in the agency’s ability to secure the White House and its protectees.

Project Veritas has demanded answers from Secret Service leadership regarding Hendrickson’s status, the investigation into his actions, and immediate steps to prevent future breaches.

As the Secret Service continues to confront the fallout from the catastrophic security failures of July 13, 2024, this video exposes ongoing internal weaknesses. The American people demand a Secret Service they can trust without question – can the agency truly claim to be “Worthy of Trust and Confidence”?

Text messages show Hendrickson disparaging President Trump.

The Secret Service has not responded to Project Veritas’ request for comment.

Last week it was reported that several Secret Service agents connected to the Butler assassination attempt were temporarily suspended without pay.

Alarming Report: Current Secret Service Director Sean Curran Signed Off on Unacceptable Security Plan the Day Before Butler Rally Where Trump Was Nearly Killed

By Cullen Linebarger Jul. 13, 2025

The current Secret Service Director allegedly failed to take proper steps to safeguard President Donald Trump’s life before the fateful Butler, Pennsylvania rally, according to an alarming new report.

As TGP readers know, an assassination attempt was made on Trump’s life exactly one year ago today. A bullet fired by Democrat Donor Thomas Crooks grazed the president’s ear during the rally.

Corey Comperatore was fatally struck in the head. Two other rally attendees were wounded, one critically.

Crooks fired the shot on top of a nearby building, where Secret Service counter-snipers had a clear view of the shooter from their position at a higher elevation than the shooter behind Trump, yet they did not act. Crooks accessed the building with a ladder he bought at Home Depot the same day as the shooting.

Sean Curran, who was serving as the head of Trump’s security detail, helped shield the President from the bullets and appeared in the iconic photo of Trump after the assassination attempt. Curran was hailed as a hero</following the incident.

He also supposedly cleaned houseimmediately upon taking over the agency, winning over more Americans.

Now, a startling revelation from Real Clear Politics National Correspondent Susan Crabtreealleges that Curran and two others gave the green light to the unacceptable security plan that gave Crooks an open shot at Trump.

How did Team Trump miss this?

From Crabtree:

Who signed off on the Butler security plan the day before the Butler rally, even though there were discrepancies on how the AGR building roof would be covered in the plan?

Would you be surprised to learn it was: Sean Curran, the head of the Donald Trump campaign detail, along with a supervisor for the Butler rally on his same Donald Trump detail, Nick Menster, and an inspector who was acting in a supervisory role, Nick Olszweksi, sources in the Secret Service community tell me.

All three got big promotions after Butler.Curran is obviously the Secret Service director, Menster is the No. 2 on the Lara and Eric Trump detail, and Olszweski, is ironically in charge of the Inspections Division, which falls under the Office of Professional Responsibility and ironically is charged with maintaining accountability and integrity for all USSS operations.

Moreover, Curran was responsible for promoting the two, and all three have escaped discipline. Crabtree then highlights an interesting fact from a Homeland Security Committee report on the assassination attempt, which was authored by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY): the details on these disciplinary actions were hidden from the committee until Paul issued a subpoena for them on July 1, 2025.

Under a Trump-appointed director, no less.

This startling news comes after Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed yesterday there was a credible threat against Trump’s life 10 days before the Butler rally.

“NEW GAO REPORT IM RELEASING says Secret Service knew of a threat 2Pres Trump’s life 10 DAYS b4 Butler but didnt share info w staff on the ground so they were unprepared Rpt identifies Sct Service problems+ recommends fixes This info NVR wld hv been made public w/o CONG OVERSIGHT,” Grassley wrote on X.

(Bongino warned Trump Admin to not choose him for SS Head.Trump needs to stop praising people in gov, hardly anyone believes it.)

3 HOURS AGO JACK MONTGOMERY Lawyers Flee Pam Bondi’s DOJ.

July 14, 2025

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED:Nearly two-thirds of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Federal Programs Branch lawyers have left since President Donald J. Trump’s re-election, raising concerns over internal divisions under Attorney General Pam Bondi’s stewardship.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED:President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, Federal Programs Branch attorneys.

📍WHEN & WHERE:Washington, D.C., November 2024–July 2025.

🎯IMPACT:With over 60 lawyers leaving and the DOJ rocked by fallout from Bondi’s mishandling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, the department is scrambling to fill gaps and defend administration policies on immigration, education, and executive power.

IN FULL

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Federal Programs Branch, responsible for defending many of President Donald J. Trump’s key policies against lawfare suits, has seen a wave of resignations, with 69 of roughly 110 lawyers either leaving or announcing plans to do so.

The departures—verified by Reuters—stem partly from supposed ethical concerns among lawyers opposed to Trump’s policies, such as attempting to limit birthright citizenship, but also from morale issues.

The DOJ is currently at the center of a huge public backlash over a memo insisting pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, that no “client list” for him exists, and that no further information about his case can be released.

A Justice Department spokesman acknowledged the “unprecedented number of lawsuits” against Trump’s policies but noted that the Department has prevailed in many, including at the Supreme Court. However, dissidents within the DOJ said staffers feel pressure to misrepresent issues from Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The resignations include at least 10 of the Federal Programs Branch’s 23 supervisors.

DOJ leadership has brought in 15 political appointees and reassigned attorneys from other units to manage the caseload. The administration also removed hiring freezes to bolster staffing. Former Civil Division chief Peter Keisler said the legal workload is staggering.

(Hence Matt Gaetz being requested to go to the WH)

'Oh really?': Trump says his wife Melania has some thoughts on Vladimir Putin

Joey Garrison July 14, 2025

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trumpsays his wife, first lady Melania Trump, has emphasized to him privately that Russian President Vladimir Putin's continued attacks on Ukraine contradict the rosy picture the Russian leader often presents in phone calls with her husband.

While discussing new actions and threatsaimed at pressuring Moscow to agree to a ceasefire deal, Trump twice on July 14 referenced remarks that Melania Trump ‒ who tends to keep a low profile ‒ has made to him in private about Russia's attacks.

"I go home, I tell the first lady, 'You know, I spoke to Vladimir today. We had a wonderful conversation.' And she said, 'Oh really? Another city was just hit,'" Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office.

About an hour later, Trump told a similar story at a luncheon with the White House Faith Office, as he recounted the numerous times he thought a Russia-Ukraine peace deal was imminent.

"I'd get home, I'd say, 'First lady, I had the most wonderful talk with Vladimir. I think we're finished.' And then I'll turn on the television, or she'll say to me one time, 'Wow, that's strange because they just bombed a nursing home,'" Trump said, prompting laughs among the crowd at the White House State Dining Room.

Growing increasingly frustrated by Putin, Trump on Monday threatened to impose 100% tariffs on Russia and its trading partners if a ceasefire is not reached in 50 days. He also pledged that the United States would send weapons to NATO to assist in Ukraine's war efforts.

“I’m disappointed in President Putin because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago, but it doesn’t seem to get there," said Trump, continuing his recent criticism of the Russian president.

Trump said Putin is a "tough guy" who has "fooled a lot of people" over the years, but "he didn't fool me." The president indicated he's weary of fruitless negotiations and said he wants "action."

Melania Trump, a native of Slovenia, typically refrains from weighing in publicly on political and international affairs. Like she did during her husband's first term in office, she has often been absent from the White House since Trump's return to Washington.

Melania Trump last Friday joined her husband during a visit to Central Texas to meet with families of victims who died in recent devastating floods there. The first couple also attended Sunday's FIFA Club World Cup together at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

All I can ask, is Melania believing MSM news?

President Trump Gives President Putin 50 Days to Finish Ukraine Operations and Get to Peace Deal, In Interim Offensive and Defensive Weapons Coordinated Through NATO

July 14, 2025 | Sundance |

As expected, no one in the media pool asked the key question. If Ukraine is not a NATO member, and Russia is not a NATO member, then why is NATO even involved? Not a single media outlet cared enough to even ask the brutally obvious.

LET US NOT PRETEND. There is good news and there is bad news within the outlined strategy. More good than bad, despite the spin room narrative engineering being immediately spread by U.S. media.

First, President Trump is giving Russian President Vladimir Putin 50 days to finish his strategic military operations in Ukraine, before a 100% tariff rate is executed against the Russian economy. With direct U.S. trade with Russia already not happening, the tariff would likely be applied toward any country purchasing any goods or resources from Russia (specifically India, China, Iran, etc.).

Second, despite Lindsey Graham and the EU leaders discussing the confiscation of Russian assets held in EU/USA bonds, neither President Trump nor NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte mentioned it.Again, the media never asked that question. Thankfully, President Trump seems to realize if such a confiscation took place, the financial credibility of the entire western finance system would be compromised. No nation would want to put their national wealth at risk by buying U.S. and EU treasury bonds.

Third, the part the MSM will focus on. In the interim of the 50 days, NATO will be both purchasing and moving offensive and defensive weapons systems into Ukraine. On the defensive weapon side, Germany will likely send Patriot missile batteries, and NATO will replace them with new U.S. purchases. In addition all NATO states will provide increased offensive weapons and purchases will be made from U.S. stockpiles. Those new offensive weapons will likely be held back until the end of the 50 days, giving Putin something to think about to bring him to the table.

Summary. Putin has 50 days. In the interim NATO is approved by Trump to ship offensive and defensive weapons into Ukraine. The Senate sanctions package will continue to be assembled, perhaps approved, but not deployed until after the 100% tariffs are executed if Russia is non compliant in getting to the table.

The carrot is the 50 days to get finished. The stick is all hell will break loose on Russia, including new and powerful offensive weapons, if Putin doesn’t end the conflict prior to the 50-day deadline.

(Interesting take!)
