EXCLUSIVE: Biden Admission Prompts Bill To Neuter Autopen

"The American people elect a President to run the country, not a cabal of woke staffers."

By Daniel Chaitin

Jul 15, 2025 DailyWire.com

Former President Joe Biden’s admission that he did not sign off on each of a large number of pardons before he left office has prompted new legislation that seeks to restrain the use of autopen for signing off on major acts, The Daily Wire can reveal.

Rep. Addison McDowell (R-NC) is introducing a billcalled the “Ban on Inkless Directives and Executive Notarizations Act of 2025 (BIDEN) Act”that would amend Title 3 of the U.S. Code to prevent a president from using such a device for signing bills, executive orders, pardons, and commutations.

It comes as GOP lawmakers became increasingly concerned that Biden was not mentally competent or even aware when staffers used the device to stamp his signature on clemency decisions after the former president and his aides conceded to The New York Times that he did not individually approve each of the pardons, but rather authorized the overarching criteria used to determine who qualified.

“The American people elect a President to run the country, not a cabal of woke staffers,” McDowell told The Daily Wire. “Sadly, that is exactly what the American people received under Joe Biden.”

McDowell’s bill aims to ensure that a president personally signs off on bills, executive orders, pardons, and commutations. His office also contends the legislation would dictate that any of these acts signed in violation of this rule, both in the past or the future, would be considered invalid and have no legal effect.

The report said the only clemency warrant that Biden personally signed in his final weeks in office was one used to pardon his son, Hunter.Others that relied on the autopen included those for Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, and members of the January 6 Committee.

“While Joe Biden worried more about breaking glass ceilings as commander in chief, his legacy will forever be tied to the lack of oversight he provided to the presidential autopen,” McDowell said.“The BIDEN Act will ensure that rogue bureaucrats can no longer take advantage of a mentally incompetent President to seize authority awarded to the Oval Office.”

White House Reportedly Reviewing One Million Docs Approved By Biden Autopen

“Joe Biden was the worst, most incompetent, and senile president in our country's history.”

By Tim Pearce Jul 15, 2025

The White House is conducting a review of potentially more than one million documents approved through the autopen process under former President Joe Biden.

The White House Counsel’s Office is leading an investigation into the former president and his staff’s use of the autopen. The White House has already assembled tens of thousands of documents from Biden’s term turned over by the National Archives for review, according to Fox News.

“Joe Biden was the worst, most incompetent, and senile president in our country’s history,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News. “It has been widely reported that Joe Biden handed the power of the presidency to an autopen controlled by unelected leftist staffers, who were allowed to make terrible decisions that destroyed our country.”

“The Trump White House is committed to finding the answers to the many outstanding questions the American people still have about how business in the Biden White House was conducted,” she said.

White House officials expect to reviewpotentially more than one million documents from the Biden administration that were approved via autopen. One official said that the review is aimed at providing transparency to the American people about Biden’s health and his understanding of the substantial number of documents that bear the former president’s signature.

“What did the former president direct, versus what he did not,” an official said, according to Fox News. “The only time a legitimate use of the autopen should happen is if the president said he wanted something done, or if he was asked for his approval.”

Biden was recently revealed to have not specifically approved thousands of prisoners and convicts that he granted pardons and clemency to in his final days in office. The former president told The New York Times in an interview published on Sunday that he directed his staff to prepare a list of convicts that fell under certain criteria, such as those who were convicted of low-level drug offenses.

After compiling the list, White House staff used the autopen to grant relief to thousands of convicts in the president’s name.Staff did not run the final list past Biden before granting presidential relief.

Biden asserted to the Timesthat he “made every decision” despite the loosely supervised autopen process. The former president defended the use of the autopen in his final days in office because “we’re talking about a whole lot of people” who were given amnesty.

The White House review is running parallel to two other investigations into Biden’s autopenrun by the House Oversight Committee and the Department of Justice. The White House Counsel’s Office is coordinating with the Justice Department in the review.

House GOP Rejects Claims of Blocking Epstein Files: ‘A Misunderstanding’

MTG calls it "one of these crazy rules" that would have empowered Democrats.

By Daniel Chaitin

Jul 15, 2025 DailyWire.com

House Republicans say there is “a misunderstanding” about the failed vote on Tuesday that Democrats linked to demanding the Department of Justice compile and release files regarding Jeffrey Epstein.

Democrats pledged to revive an Epstein disclosure amendment from Rep. RoKhanna (D-CA) that was shot downMonday in the House Rules Committee after he sought to merge his measure with an unrelated crypto bill — if a procedural floor vote went their way. But it did not succeed.

While the result has been widely cast as the House Republicans uniting to prevent the release of the Epstein files, ==some GOP members pushed back on that narrative.••

“I gotta correct something real quick,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) saidin a “Benny Show” interview. “It’s being reported that House Republicans unanimously voted to block the release of the Epstein files, and I want to straighten out the record right now. That is not true. If I could vote … to release the Epstein files, guys, you would have my vote. I would vote ‘yes.'”

Greene spoke about the mechanics of what happened.

“It was a procedural vote. And we have these all the time. It’s called a ‘PQ.’ It’s voting on the previous question,” Greene said. “If the Democrats had won the previous question, which I know sounds insane —it’s one of these crazy rules in the House that are hard to understand — that means they would control the House floor.”

The congresswoman then contended that if Democrats had gotten their way, it could have paved the way to all sorts of votes beyond the Epstein issue.

“And that means they could bring up anything,” Greene said. “They could bring up impeachment articles against President Trump. They could bring up a whole package of insane Democrat agenda items and force votes on the House floor on these things. That’s what we voted against. We never allow Democrats to have control of the House floor because we control the House floor. So, it’s a misunderstanding that I just wanted to straighten that out.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) issued a similar explanation in a post on X.

“The House GOP conference as a whole did not vote to block the release of the Epstein files,” Luna said. “There was a procedural vote that, if failed, would have given Democrats control of the House. If you pull up the ‘previous question’ language you will not find anything re: Epstein. Liars never cease to disgust me.”

In response, Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) claimed Luna was not entirely correct.

“Respectfully, [Luna], this is not accurate. If you pull up the ‘previous question’ language in tomorrow’s congressional record you will find the following, which you voted against,” McGovern said, sharing a screenshot of text on the Epstein files amendment.

Khanna’s amendment did get the support of a single Republican — Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) — in the House Rules Committee, but the rest of the Republicans voted “nay” and it was defeated.

The California Democrat later clarifiedthat his measure pertaining to Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender who was found dead at the age of 66 in his New York City jail cell in 2019 after being arrested on sex trafficking charges involving young girls, would “of course protect” the identity of any victims.

President Donald Trump has expressed support for Attorney General Pam Bondi and seemed to dismiss the uproar within the “Make America Great Again” movement after the Department of Justice claimed it had no evidence that Epstein had a client list, blackmailed powerful people, or was murdered.

“One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Still, there are many people who remain skeptical that the Department of Justice is being completely forthcoming.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) saidin a separate “Benny Show” interview on Tuesdaythat he supports “transparency” with regard to the Epstein issue and called on Bondi to be more forthcoming to inform the American public what happenedafter she hinted earlier this year that major bombshells were about to be revealed that never materialized.

I think it would have been better if PDJT stayed out of this. And let Bondi lie her ass off.

Trump Defends Pam Bondi on Epstein Files: ‘Handled It Very Well’

Elizabeth Weibel15 Jul 2025

President Donald Trump indicated that he supported Attorney General Pam Bondi, stating that she had handled files relating to convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein “very well.”

When speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump revealed that Bondi had given him a “very quick briefing” regarding the memo released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and added thatthe files were “made up by” former FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama, ABC News reported. (Is he making up a story like they made up on him?)

Trump’s response comes after the DOJ and FBI released a memo that found that there was no evidence that Epstein had a client list, and that an investigation had found that Epstein had committed suicide. (Literally speaking there was not a list, wasn’t it personal phone book, with all his clients, friends and contacts in it?)

Trump also indicated that whatever Bondi “thinks is credible, she should release.”

“She’s given us just a very quick briefing, and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen, and I would say that you know, these files were made up by Comey,” Trump said. “They were made up by Obama, they were made up by the Biden……and we went through years of that, with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax. With all of the different things that we had to go through, we’ve gone through years of it, but she’s handled it very well, and it’s going to be up to her. Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.”

As Breitbart News previously reported, in the aftermath of the memo’s release, Bondi was asked during a cabinet meeting about the findings of the Epstein case and why there was a minute missing from the prison tape on the night that Epstein died.

Trump proceeded to fire back at the reporter and asked him if he was “still talking about” Epstein, noting that more important things were happening, such as the devastating flash-flooding in Texas.

“I mean, I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this, where we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,” Trump added. “It just seems like a desecration.”

Bondi went on to explain that during a previously interview on Fox News, when she had been asked about Epstein’s alleged “client list” sitting on her desk for her to review, she had been referring to the file relating to Epstein. (They didn’t ask her for anything but the list, so of course people are asking questions.)

“First, to back up on that, in February, I did an interview on Fox, and it’s been getting a lot of attention because I said…I was asked a question about the client list and my response was, ‘It’s sitting on my desk to be reviewed,’ meaning the file, along with the JFK, MLK files as well,” Bondi explained. “Also, to the tens of thousands of video, they turned out to be child porn downloaded by that disgusting Jeffrey Epstein. Child porn is what they were, never going to be released, never going to see the light of day.”

To him being an agent, I have no knowledge about that, we can get back to you on that,” Bondi added. “And, the minute missing from the video. We released the video showing definitively, the video was not conclusive, but the evidence prior to it was, showing he committed suicide.”

Trump also previously supported Bondi in a post on Truth Social, amid reports that she and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino were feuding over the way that the Epstein case files had been handled.

CA Professor Arrested for Allegedly Throwing Tear Gas Canister at ICE Agents During Raid on Cannabis Farm

Paul Bois15 Jul 2025

A professor with California State University Channel Islands has been arrested for allegedly throwing a tear gas canister at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a massive raid on a cannabis farm last week.

As Breitbart News reported last week, ICE “opened a child labor trafficking investigation into two marijuana farms after agents found 10 migrant children during a raid that saw almost 200 illegal aliens arrested.”

On July 10, ICE agents raided two marijuana farms in Carpinteria and Camarillo in the sanctuary state of California. While arresting almost 200 illegal aliens in the operation, agents also found at least 10 migrant children whom officials say may have been trafficked into forced labor.

During the raid, ICE agents faced more than 500 rioters who sought to disrupt the operation, leading to criminal charges against four American citizens. While some rioters damaged ICE property, one rioter was caught on camera firing a gun at agents.

Last Thursday, authorities arrested math professor Jonathan Anthony Caravello during the raid after he allegedly threw a tear gas canister at federal agents. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli confirmed this via X this week.

“Professor Jonathan Caravello was not ‘kidnapped’ by federal agents,’” Essayli wrote. “He was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement.”

Essayli added that that Caravello has been charged with a violation of 18 USC 111, assaulting, resisting or impeding a federal officer.

Caravello was released on a $15,000 bond after appearing in court on Monday. Both the California Faculty Association (CFA) and Cal State Channel Islands released statements in support of him.

“Jonathan is a deeply committed educator and mentor who showed up for their students and immigrant communities—and for that, they were targeted,’ the CFA wrote, per Fox News.“Their release sends a powerful message: when we organize and raise our voices together, we win. We are in this fight and will not stop until no one is criminalized for speaking out against injustices.”

“At this time, it is our understanding that Professor Caravello was peacefully participating in a protest—an act protected under the First Amendment and a right guaranteed to all Americans,” the university wrote. “If confirmed, we stand with elected officials and community leaders calling for his immediate release.”

Elon Musk changed his phone number after spat with Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson reveals on ‘Pod Force One’

By Published July 16, 2025, 6:00 a.m. ET

New phone, who dis?

Tech mogul Elon Musk changed his cellphone number and stopped returning Mike Johnson’s texts after throwing a titanic fit about the costs included in Republicans’ massive tax-and-spending bill, the House speaker revealed on the latest episode of “Pod Force One,” out Wednesday.

“I sent him a long text message, and then his phone number changed, because after the blow-up, something happened with his,” Johnson told The Post’s Miranda Devine about the bitter billionaire abruptly leaving their chat — right after President Trump and Musk’s bromance went belly-up.

“[Later I] realized I was sending it out into the ether somewhere and he never read it, so I look forward to meeting with him in person,” the speaker said of his former texting buddy. “We got to make that right.”

Though Musk didn’t even give him a heads up before ghosting him, Johnson noted that didn’t stop him from reaching out multiple times through a third party. He was also hopeful that Musk and Trump could mend fences.

“Frankly, I think the president was of that mind as well, but there’s some tension there,” the House GOP leader said of the two billionaires burying the hatchet. (Oh shut up no one is interested in them getting back together Johnson!)

Musk parted ways with the Trump administration at the end of May, then a few days later raged publicly about the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act, grumbling over its impact on the deficit in particular. Deficit reduction had been Musk’s top priority when pulling the strings on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The tech tycoon’s efforts to tank the megabill were to no avail, however, as Republicans wrangled it through Congress and Trump signed the landmark bill into law on July 4.

The next day, Musk, who had blasted the bill as “pork-filled” and a “disgusting abomination,” announced his plans to launch a centrist “America Party” alternative to the two-party system.

Trump swiftly responded, calling Musk’s idea “ridiculous.”

“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” Trump lamented on Truth Social.

Johnson told Devine that there was likely “a multitude of factors” behind the Trump and Musk split, and that he’d “let everybody else judge the motivations behind it.”

“But clearly, [Musk] got unhappy in a very short period of time,” Johnson acknowledged. “I mean, he generally knew what we were doing, and we talked about it. I mean, he knew for months, many months we worked on this, and I was keeping him apprised of it.”

“The final product maybe didn’t meet all of his expectations in terms of what we’re doing, for example, with electric vehicles and the Biden mandates and all of that,” Johnson told Devine. “But there are other things as well.”

“But look, I let other people judge that. I’ve got to keep my eyes on the prize and keep going forward, andI’m trying to be a peacemaker in all of it.”

The House Republican leader admitted that he shares Musk’s deep concerns about the rapidly growing national debt but stressed that “we can’t solve the problem overnight” andnoted that Republicans are planning to pass rescission packages, which enable them to claw back previously allocated government spending.

Camp Mystic co-owner waited 45 minutes to evacuate campers after getting urgent ‘life-threatening’ flash floods alert

Published July 15, 2025, 7:24 a.m. ET

Emily Crane

Camp Mystic’s co-owner only started evacuating campers more than 45 minutes after getting an emergency alert about the “life-threatening” flash floods, it has been revealed.

Richard “Dick” Eastland — who died trying to save young girls at his Hunt, Texas, camp on the Guadalupe River —got the initial National Weather Service blast on his phone at about 1:14 a.m, a spokesperson for his family=told ABC News.

But he only began relocating campersat the private all-girls Christian campto higher ground around 2 a.m.— just as the situation began deteriorating rapidly.

They had no information that indicated the magnitude of what was coming,” the family spokesperson, Jeff Carr, said of the floods that would kill 27 children and counselors.

“They got a standard, run-of-the-mill NWS warning that they’ve seen dozens of times before,” Carr said.

Eastland immediately began communicating with family memberswho worked at the camp via walkie-talkie as soon as he received the alert, which didn’t include an evacuation warning, according to Carr.

They started moving campers to higher ground when they saw the floodwaters, he added.

Carr said the timeline, which he stressed was preliminary, had been pieced together after speaking with Eastland family members who worked at the camp and frantically helped in the evacuation.

He noted the family wanted to release the timeline to avoid speculationafter the devastating flash floods ended up claiming the lives of 27 children and counselors.

NY AG Tish James probing Long Island cop who fatally shot knife-wielding madman

By Brandon Cruz

Published July 16, 2025, 6:00 a.m. ET

A Suffolk County cop fatally shot a knife-wielding madman who allegedly charged out of the woods to finish off his bloodied victim, officials said.

Officers were called to a Centereach strip mall just after 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and arrived tofind an unidentified 44-year-old man stabbed in the neckwho they tried to save, according to authorities.

That’s whenvagrant Emilson Yoan Ordonez-Vanegas, 29, burst out from a wooded area of Middle Country Road carrying a knife with a10-inch bladeand shouting to the top of his lungs, allegedly charging full speed at the officer and the bloodied victim, officials said.

“[Ordonez-Vanegas] yells, he approaches the victim, who was being treated, and attempts to stab him again,” Suffolk’s top cop Kevin Catalina told reporters.

“One of our officers pulled out his weapon, fired at the suspect, striking him.”

Ordonez-Vanegas died from his injuries while the victim survivedand was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, cops said.

New York Attorney General Tish James has since launched an investigation into the shooting to find out whether lethal force was actually necessary — which is required by state law in all cases where police may have caused a death.

“Had it not been for the officer’s quick actions, the victim would have been stabbed with that knife and probably killed,” Suffolk’s top cop, Kevin Catalina, told reporters.

The state probe will review the cop’s bodycam footage, forensic evidence and eyewitness accounts to determine whether the shooting met the legal threshold for justified force.

Police believe the two men were the only ones involved in the violent encounter, which unfolded behind a strip mall that houses a deli, restaurant and a smoke shop.

The motive for the stabbing remains unclear.

U.S. Appeals Court Blocks Trump from Ending ‘Temporary’ Amnesty for Biden’s Afghan Migrants

July 15, 2025

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Afghan migrants who were imported to the United States under former President Joe Biden.

In May, Trump’s DHS announced that the agency would end TPS, a quasi-amnesty program, for about 75,000 Afghan migrants whom the Biden administration had resettled across the U.S. in mere months.

CASA, Inc., the open borders organization, filed a lawsuit

TPS for Afghans was supposed to be terminated on July 12, but the appeals court has now halted DHS from moving forward with the plan, giving the Trump administration and CASA about a week to file briefs on the merits of the lawsuit.

There has beenwidespread fraud and abuse within the Afghan resettlement carried out by Biden, law enforcement agencies and inspectors general offices have repeatedly found.

In one such recent case, a 27-year-old Afghan man was arrested in Oklahomalast year after allegedly planning an Election Day terrorist attack on Americans. The man had been brought to the United States through Biden’s massive resettlement operation.

In April 2023, a former Department of Defense (DOD) official revealed to Congress that some unvetted Afghans were resettled in the U.S.who were found to have been involved in placing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Afghanistan to kill American troops.

In 2021, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) requested information about the number of Afghans who sought entry to the U.S. and were listed on the federal government’s “No Fly List” because of their ties to Islamic terrorism.Biden’s top agency officials refused to disclose the total.

In September 2022, the DHS Inspector General (IG) issued a bombshell report detailing how the Biden administration imported Afghans who were “not fully vetted” and could “pose a risk to national security.”

Similarly, in February 2022, a DOD IG report revealed that Biden’s agencies failed to properly vet Afghans who arrived in the United States and thatabout 50 Afghans were flagged for “significant security concerns” after their resettlement.

Most of the unvetted Afghans flagged for possible terrorism ties, the DOD IG report stated, have since disappeared into American communities. The report noted that as of September 17, 2021, only three of 31 Afghans flagged with specific “derogatory information” could be located.

In August 2022, Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Ron Johnson (R-WI)detailed allegations from a whistleblower who claimed the Biden administration knowingly resettled almost 400 Afghans in the United States who were listed as “potential threats” in federal databases and urged staff to cut corners in the vetting process.

In May 2022, a Project Veritas report alleged the Biden administration resettled Afghans listed on the federal government’s “Terrorism Watch List” in American communities.

Cameras Capture Marking on President Trump's Right Hand During Press Avail With Reporters
