did a friend pass away, anon?
what is the trigger of your grief?
if bad stuff happened grief is a normal reaction.
if you did really bad stuff yourself, also, grief is part of the reconcilliation process between yourself and those who you harmed through sinful behavior.
if it comes from nothing you might need some nurishment and sleep.
SLEEP.
till you dream.
again: do something useful.
are their dishes in your sink?
wash them.
is their laundry? wash it?
do you have to mow the lawn?
mow it.
at least then, even though you're depressed, you won't compound your depression by neglecting your chores.
take some items that you think are useful or valuable and donate them to a local thrift shop that helps a charity.
visit a chappel and kneel before the Lord and pray.
or just kneel before the Lord and pray right where you are.
or just pray, right now, to the Lord and ask for him to help you through your grief and to give you the insight to know what causes it so you can alleviate it in the future.
The other day I read a horrible article about pedophiles in Belgium. I was very sad for a while. It's normal to feel sad when news is horrific.
