Heard an aircraft within hearing distance (which out here can be 10+ miles in any direction). Checked on https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ for military traffic (it didn't sound civilian, but who knows). Nothing was on radar.
So I'm just kind of looking around the country surprised at how many military aircraft were up - and eventually return to my neck of the woods, and I see a helicopter that had gone dark, but was heading back. So I start to watch and headed outside - too far away to hear, but I suspected it would be back within hearing range in a few minutes.
9 mins later I snapped the last image… and there is a dashed line.
1) what is the dashed line. I haven't seen that before.
2) I was outside listening for about 8-9 minutes. I didn't hear a helicopter, we heard a small plane along that route. Not much because it is windy, but not a helicopter.
Just found it all very odd.
