Russians attacked a combine harvester in the Bilozerka community in the Kherson region with a drone, destroying crops and burning equipment.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Alexander Prokudin.
“This is the price of crops grown on Kherson land,” wrote the head of the regional administration.
According to him, the Russians treacherously attacked a combine harvester working in a field in the Bilozerka community with a drone.
The agricultural equipment was burned, and the crops were destroyed by fire. It is noted that the workers were not injured.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the Kherson region, Russians dropped explosives from a drone on a wheat field, setting two hectares on fire.

Eight people hospitalized in Vinnytsia after drone attack

Eight people are hospitalized in Vinnytsia after a nighttime drone attack.
The news was reported on Telegram by Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov, according to Ukrinform.
“There are currently eight injured in the hospital,” Morhunov wrote.
According to him, the fire at the civilian infrastructure facility hit by the UAV is still being extinguished.
It was reported that as of 6:40 a.m., seven people were reported to be injured as a result of the enemy drone attack on two industrial civilian infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia.

Zelensky: Russian drones hit Ukraine’s power grid, 15 injured including child

One of the targets of the overnight attack by Russian forces was Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Response efforts are still underway after last night’s Russian shelling. The Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions came under the heaviest attack.
In particular, energy infrastructure was targeted — work is currently ongoing to restore everything in Kryvyi Rih as fully as possible, and power supply will be resumed during the day.
Unfortunately, 15 people were injured, including one child. All are receiving the necessary medical care. I thank everyone who is eliminating the consequences of the strike, restoring power, and working for the sake of our people,” Zelensky said.
The President commended the efforts of the Air Force, Army Aviation, Naval Aviation, drone units, anti-aircraft missile troops, Navy air defense, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare (EW) units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Thanks to them, around 200 drones were shot down, and more than 140 others failed to reach their targets.
“Russia is not changing its strategy — and to counter this terror effectively, we need to systematically strengthen our defenses: more air defense systems, more interceptors, and more determination — so that Russia feels our response,” the President concluded.
As reported by Ukrinform, starting from 20:00 on Tuesday, July 15, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 400 Shahed-type attack UAVs, along with various types of decoy drones.
Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 198 of the 400 Russian drones, while 145 decoy drones were jammed or lost by electronic warfare systems.
The main directions of the attacks were Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia.

Ukrainian Drone Strike in Belgorod Region Kills Man

A young man was killed and another was wounded when a Ukrainian drone struck their car near a border village in the southwestern Belgorod region, authorities said Wednesday.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defense systems had shot down a Ukrainian drone over the region at 1:40 p.m. local time.
Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov claimed the drone “deliberately” targeted the passenger car near the village of Pervomaisky, located less than 8 kilometers (4.5 miles) from the border with Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
“The young man died at the scene from his injuries,” Gladkov wrote on Telegram. The second victim was hospitalized in the Volokonovsky district and later discharged for outpatient treatment.
Ukrainian forces have frequently launched drone and missile attacks on Belgorod and neighboring border regions since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Several Oilfields in Kurdistan Halt Production After Drone Attacks

Several oilfields operated by foreign companies in Iraq’s semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan have halted production in the past few hours following attacks with explosive-laden drones on infrastructure at the fields.
On Tuesday, a drone attack forced the suspension of production at the Sarsang oilfield, operated by a U.S. privately held firm, HKN Energy.
The attack took place hours before HKN Energy signed a preliminary agreement with the Iraqi oil ministry to develop another oilfield.
HKN Energy confirmed production at Sarsang has been suspended, but noted that all personnel have been safely accounted for.
The attacks continued on Wednesday morning local time, with explosive-laden drones hitting oilfields operated by Norwegian firm DNO and U.S.-based Hunt Oil Company, Kurdistan’s counter-terrorism services said.
DNO announced on Wednesday that operations at its Tawke field in Kurdistan have been temporarily suspended following three explosions early this morning, one involving a small storage tank at Tawke and another involving surface processing equipment at Peshkabir.
There have been no injuries. The damage assessment is underway, and the company expects to restart production once said assessment is completed.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
However, Kurdistan security sources told Reuters that initial investigations suggested the drone came from areas controlled by Iran-backed militias.
The oil production halt comes as the federal government in Baghdad and the regional Kurdish government in Erbil continue to quarrel over who should be responsible for the oil exports and the subsequent revenue distribution.
The federal authorities say Baghdad should have sole discretion in handling oil exports and oil revenues.
Oil exports from Kurdistan have now been halted nearly two and a half years after they were shut in in March 2023 due to a dispute over who should authorize the Kurdish exports.
Despite some breakthroughs in negotiations in recent months, the disagreements apparently continue, and Kurdistan’s oil exports continue to be shut in.

IDF says drone strike targeted Syrian military HQ amid regime forces assault on Druze community

The IDF confirms carrying out a drone strike in Damascus a short while ago, saying it struck the entrance to the Syrian military headquarters.
“The IDF continues to monitor developments and activity against Druze civilians in southern Syria and, in accordance with the directives of the political echelon, is attacking the area and is prepared for various scenarios,” the statement adds.
Syrian media reports that two civilians were injured in the Israeli strike on Damascus.

Pakistani drones back, pushing drugs & guns into India

AMRITSAR: Operation Sindoor put brakes on drone intrusions for a while but Pakistani smugglers have returned with upgraded tactics and are pushing drones deeper into Indian territory with alarming accuracy.
"Post Op Sindoor, there was a temporary lull in cross-border drone intrusions. However, these activities have now resumed with greater precision as Pakistani smugglers are deploying drones that penetrate deeper into Indian territory to drop drugs, arms and ammunition," said BSF DIG AK Vidyarthi.
According to sources, airdropping earlier was often close to the international border - around a kilometre in - but now Pakistani drones have been observed as far as 2km to 2.5km or even more inside Indian territory.
Pak drones fly at higher altitudes near border to avoid detection
A source said, “During Op Sindoor, priorities were broader — it wasn’t just about curbing cross-border smuggling but more about preventing drone and missile attacks.
Smuggling activity from across the border significantly decreased since Pakistani smugglers lacked local operatives on the Indian side to retrieve dropped consignments.”
But then, why have cross-border drone intrusions increased after Op Sindoor? As per sources, Pakistani smugglers have equipped themselves with more advanced Chinese drones, while the anti-drone technology deployed on the Indian border has not been as effective as it should be.
Currently, drones are often detected only by their sound or spotted visually, after which information is relayed to the anti-drone team. The system is then activated to jam the drone or sever its connection with the operator in Pakistan.
Such interceptors should ideally be placed every few kilometres along the international border in Punjab to instantly detect an incoming drone — its direction, speed, altitude and other details — so that it can be jammed and forced into the ground, said sources.
Asked why Pakistani smugglers were trying to push drones deeper into Indian territory, sources pointed out BSF had intensified patrolling and tightened security and surveillance after Op Sindoor.
By sending consignments deeper into Indian territory, smugglers seek to ensure receivers (collectors) are further away from the international border, minimising the chance of being detected by BSF patrols.
Nowadays, Pakistani drone pilots tend to fly drones at higher altitudes near the border to avoid detection. Once the drones cross into Indian territory, they drop to a lower altitude and follow zigzag routes to dodge surveillance.
Drones are also intentionally crashed once they reach the drop zone.

Drone? Missile? Meet ODIN, Ukraine’s Answer to Shahed Kamikaze Drones

Drone manufacturer ODIN has unveiled “ODIN Win_Hit” – a high-speed interception drone designed to shoot down incoming Russian/Iranian Shahed drones.
The drone, whose shape resembles tiny warheads and which is powered by four propellers attached to its fins – similar to ordinary quad-drones instead of rocket engines – is designed to be launched from both ground-based and aerial platforms, according to a June Telegram update by its developer.
The goal, according to ODIN, is to apply lessons learned from Ukraine’s frontline use of first-person view (FPV) drones to create an effective – and efficient – system for countering Moscow’s long-range drones targeting cities behind the front lines.
Costing under $50,000 and with a reported range of up to 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles), the Iranian-designed Shahed drone has become Moscow’s weapon of choice for striking cities far behind the front lines.
On Tuesday, ODIN shared footage of the drone in action, presumably shot from the interceptor drones themselves as they approached the Russian drones mid-air in the Sumy region.
“Another video compilation of the results of the successful work of the Mad Bears team of the Pentagon battalion, [225th Separate Assault Battalion] on shooting down enemy drones in the sky over the Sumy region.
Among the targets hit are several Molniya UAVs, Lancet loitering munitions, as well as Gerbera UAVs,” the update says.
On Wednesday, the developers said the first batch of the drones had been deployed to the front and called for additional funding to help scale the project.
ODIN said it is working with Ukraine’s air defense forces to incorporate the drone into the country’s nationwide air defense arsenal.
Technical specifications
ODIN Win_Hit is essentially a high-speed FPV drone that flies slightly faster than propeller-powered Shahed drones.
With a claimed cruise speed of around 220 kilometers per hour (136.7 miles per hour) and a terminal attack speed of up to 300 kilometers per hour (186 miles per hour), that would grant ODIN Win_Hit a slightly faster speed than the 185 kilometers per hour (115 miles per hour) claimed speed of Shahed drones.
The speed, coupled with a claimed effective range of 100 to 5,000 meters (0.06 to 3 miles) and a flight duration of 7 to 10 minutes, would allow it to intercept Russian drones mid-air, presumably within visual range.
However, as Russia began using jet-powered Shahed variants – albeit in small numbers – the ODIN drones are likely to be reserved for counteracting slower, traditional variants if deployed.
Ukraine’s answers to Shaheds
Ukrainian officials have hinted at different solutions at work against the Russian drones plaguing Ukrainian cities.
Military officials have announced new funding for the “Clear Sky” initiative in the Kyiv region to support the procurement and training of domestic interceptor drones designed to counter Russian Shahed attacks.
“These funds will go not just for the purchase of equipment, but for the creation of an effective response system,” an official said.
“We are deploying an operator training center… [and] we are forming additional mobile units that will be on duty in the capital and on the approaches to the city.”
It is unclear if the ODIN team was involved in the “Clear Sky” initiative.
Another answer to the issue is light aircraft, according to Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky.
In June, Syrsky hinted at the country’s use of light aircraft to fend off Russian drones, naming Canada as one of the Western nations to have helped in the initiative.
“This area will develop. We are receiving modern light aircraft that have modern weapons and navigation aids, which will increase the effectiveness of countering Russian strike drones,” he said at the time.
With Moscow launching a record 750-plus drones in a single night, the pressing challenge is perhaps not inventing new tech, but rapidly scaling what already works to fend off the growing aerial assault.

Enormous fire breaks out by Area 51 sending UFO watchers into a frenzy

A massive fire has broken out near the infamous Area 51, sending plumes of smoke into the sky and UFO enthusiasts into a panic.
A livestream camera, set up on private land just outside the heavily guarded Groom Lake facility near Rachel, Nevada, captured eerie footage of smoke rising from deep within the classified base.
The blaze was sparked by the Gothic Fire, which has grown from 8,000 acres to 35,000 since starting on July 4. It has been confirmed as a lightning-sparked wildfire.
But that has not stopped speculation from spiraling online, with conspiracy theorists claiming everything from a crashed experimental craft to a cover-up gone wrong.
'I'm not saying anything other than it was aliens,' Skywatch Signal, a group that monitors strange sightings, shared on X.
Area 51 has become a cultural phenomenon thanks to decades of conspiracy theories connecting the base to UFOs, aliens and experimental aircraft testing.
While the fire is around 15 miles outside of the military base, it is currently sweeping over where above-ground nuclear testing occurred, the Nevada Test Site, which sits 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
This site, now known as the Nevada National Security Site, was established for nuclear weapons testing during the Cold War, and there is still nuclear debris and contamination in the area.
The fire is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense, which is listed as the landowner for Area 51 and surrounding regions.
The Gothic Fire is primarily spreading through northern Nevada, gaining fuel as high temperatures and low relative humidity hit the state.
The area is also littered with timber, specifically pinyon and juniper, and grass, allowing the fire to continue its path of destruction.
Despite the fire's growth, no evacuations have been ordered, and no structures are threatened. It's currently zero percent contained with no estimate on full containment.

Area 51 is a highly classified US Air Force facility located within the Nevada Test and Training Range, approximately 83 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas.
Officially known as Groom Lake, the base is situated near a dry salt flat of the same name, nestled between the Nellis Air Force Range and the rugged Groom Mountain range.
It lies just outside the tiny desert town of Rachel, Nevada, along the so-called 'Extraterrestrial Highway,' which is formally called Nevada State Route 375.
The base, established in 1955, remained largely unknown until 1989 when Robert Lazar claimed on TV that he worked at a secret site near Groom Lake, 'S-4,' studying alien technology and spacecraft.
The US Air Force and the government have denied those claims.
The footage has sparked wild conspiracies online, with one X user saying: 'Are they trying to destroy evidence now that a congressman has asked for access to Area 51?'
Another user asked if people 'finally stormed Area 51,' recalling how 500,000 people committed to rushing the base in July 2019.
The owners of the livestream, EWU Crew, posted an alert about the fire, saying: 'A fire has broken out inside the boundaries of Area 51 and our cameras are capturing it in real time.
'This livestream is operated from private property overlooking the Area 51 perimeter near Rachel, NV.
'Watch day and night as activity unfolds. Strange lights, aircraft, convoys, and now: smoke rising from inside the base. We're located only minutes from the back gate of Groom Lake.'

She had first taste of the limelight in 2023 however, after capturing strange footage of what she claimed was a UFO.
In a clip shared on her Instagram account, Valentina is filming on board a flight.
She focuses the camera outside where a small black dot appears in front of the clouds.
The strange object appears out of nowhere and zooms past the plane at an alarming speed.
It has been described as a saucer and features round edges.
UFO enthusiast The Hidden Underbelly, shared the clip and said: "In this footage we get a clear view of this object and this looks damn good.
"It seems to be a saucer shape craft."The clip helped Valentina boost her fame and she now boasts 132,000 followers.
She is signed to model agency Newmark Models.
