Yes. When I was a kid, a bolt of lightning came through the kitchen window, the turned and hit the clothes dryer that was running at the time. It blew up the dryer. I was sitting at the kitchen table with a coloring book and my mom was doing the dishes. That scared the hell out of both of us.
