The Justice Department has asked a federal judge to unseal years-old grand jury transcripts tied to Jeffrey Epstein, following an order from President Trump.

The motion was signed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and Attorney General Pam Bondi.  It states that the justice department will also file a similar motion in the case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate.

The DOJ issued an interim final rule to restore firearms rights to individuals who pose no public safety threat, ending a three-decade bureaucratic freeze.

The proposed system will allow citizens whose firearm rights are legally restricted to petition for restoration while maintaining restrictions on dangerous criminals and illegal aliens. Bondi retains final discretion over all applications, reviewing each case individually. However, violent felons, registered sex offenders, and illegal aliens will remain presumptively ineligible except in extraordinary circumstances.
