The World’s Fair has a long and storied history dating back at least to the Crystal Palace in London in 1851 and including such iconic events as Philadelphia’s Centennial Exposition of 1876, Chicago’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, and NYC’s World Fairs in 1939 and 1964. Back in the day, before mass media, it was a chance for people to witness the latest gadgets (the telephone! the typewriter!). Now it’s more about national branding and a chance to tour the world in a single venue. Our family attended the World’s Fair in Dubai in 2021 and really enjoyed it, so I was honored to be included in the official delegation named by @POTUS @realDonaldTrump to represent our country at @expo2025_japan in Osaka 🇯🇵. The venue was absolutely packed, and our @USA_Pavilion_ received its one millionth visitor while we were there. The pavilion highlights the beauty of our country as well as our creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
