F**k No! — UK Local Council Moves to Fine People for Swearing

A council in Kent wants to fine people caught swearing in public spaces and protect the delicate sensibilities of those offended by what it deems profane language.

The BBC reports Thanet District Council (TDC) in south-east England last summer planned to enforce a public space protection order (PSPO), which aims to target anti-social behaviour, including what it deems as foul, sweary language.

However, those plans were rejected amid a threat of a legal challenge only to be rejuvenated last week with popular vacation areas like Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, targeted by the restrictive order.

A PSPO makes it an offence to refuse to stop drinking alcohol in public, leave the area or use foul and abusive language if requested by a police or council officer.

A fine of £100 can be issued, according to the BBC report.

In a statement in support of the order, Chief Inspector Ian Swallow said the implementation was a “necessary measure” to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour in Thanet.

In a council document presented at a meeting, the authority said there was “ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour” in the area, Kent Online notes.

It claimed overwhelming support for a PSPO among those consulted on the matter, following changes to its previous application.

The council has since sought to reassure those with concerns by explaining there are protections within the order to prevent its misuse.

LBC notes anybody found in breach of the order would be able to use the “reasonable excuse” defence and that it cannot interfere with the Human Rights Act which gives people the right to freedom of expression and assembly.

‘Intruders Not Welcome’ — Over 100 Anti-Mass Migration Protests Held Across Poland

Before the outset of many of the demonstrations on Saturday, participants held a moment of silence to honour Klaudia K., a 24-year-old Polish woman who was murdered in June by a 19-year-old Venezuelan migrant, PAP reports.

At one of the larger gatherings in the southwestern city of Katowice, fans of rival soccer clubs put aside their differences to stand side by side in opposition to migration, demonstrating the depth of feeling over the issue.

At a rally in Kielce, Dawid Lewicki, leader of the Świętokrzyskie Confederation, said: “We see what is happening in Western European countries that have massively accepted immigrants and now cannot cope with the threats these people bring. I am referring to the various types of crimes they commit on a massive scale.

“We do not want our country to be forced to face such a challenge as well. We do not want any Polish city to become the European capital of rape, like Stockholm, or for situations to arise like those on the streets of London or Paris, where people cannot feel safe. We firmly say no to accepting immigrants in Poland.”

While Poland has long held a reputation for being strict on immigration compared to its neighbours, with the country escaping the worst of the 2015 Europe Migrant Crisis sparked by then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the country has seen a large influx of foreigners in recent years.

Although much of this was a result of a flood of refugees fleeing the Russian war in neighbouring Ukraine, the liberal-globalist government of Prime Minister Tusk has increasingly allowed in more economic migrants, issuing over 322,000 work permits last year. Migrants from the Philippines, Colombia, India, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Bangladesh topped the list of the most common nationalities to receive a work permit in Poland last year.

Earlier this month, the Polish government deployed the military to enact border controls at dozens of crossings with Germany and Lithuania. Meanwhile, there has been a reported uptick in the number of Polish citizens acting as vigilante border guards amid claims that the recently installed government of Friedrich Merz in Berlin has been pushing illegals towards Poland.

On Friday, Poland joined a group of six nations in the Bavarian Alps to demand that the European Union enact stricter requirements for asylum seekers, step up deportations, and strengthen controls along the external borders.

PM’s graft trial testimony canceled this week due to food poisoning; won’t testify again until September

The Jerusalem District Court cancels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled testimony in his criminal trial on Monday and Tuesday since he is currently suffering from a bout of food poisoning, meaning that he will not testify again until September, as the courts head into summer recess.

Netanyahu’s lawyer Amit Hadad requested to postpone the hearings this week after the premier fell ill last night after eating spoiled food, and the State Attorney’s Office agreed, but asked that he testify on Wednesday and Thursday instead.

The court says, however, that it will cancel, rather than postpone the hearings, as they cannot be held later in the week due to scheduling conflicts.

This means that Netanyahu will not be called to testify again until September at the earliest, as the court recess begins this week and lasts until September 5.

Netanyahu’s testimony has been repeatedly delayed since it started in December last year, due to the prime minister’s medical issues, the ongoing war with Hamas in Gaza, the attack on Iran, as well as diplomatic trips abroad, and Netanyahu’s general duties as prime minister.

During the recess, courts will operate in a reduced capacity.

‘He bombs everything all the time’: US said fuming at ‘madman’ Netanyahu after Syria strikes

White House reportedly views actions as harming Trump peace efforts, calls PM ‘child who just won’t behave’; Jerusalem tried explaining need to defend Druze, Israeli official says

The White House is alarmed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decisions in Syria, multiple officials in US President Donald Trump’s administration were quoted Sunday as saying, branding the premier a “madman” and “a child who just won’t behave.”

“Bibi acted like a madman. He bombs everything all the time,” a White House official was cited as saying by the Axios news outlet, using the premier’s nickname. “This could undermine what Trump is trying to do.”

Israel began carrying out strikes on Syrian troops rolling into Sweida on Tuesday after local government forces were accused of killing scores of people in the Druze city of Sweida, and on Wednesday the IDF struck key buildings in Damascus.

“The feeling is that every day there is something new. What the fuck?” said a second senior US official after an Israeli tank shell hit a church in Gaza, killing three people, in what the IDF says was a mistake.

While Trump did not publicly address the strike on Gaza’s only Catholic church, he held an angry phone call with Netanyahu and demanded that he release a statement expressing regret over the incident, which the premier did a short while later.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also told reporters that Trump’s reaction to the incident “was not a positive reaction.”

There is growing skepticism in the US administration about Netanyahu and his policies, said a third official, adding that “Netanyahu is sometimes like a child who just won’t behave.”

It was not clear whether the officials’ frustrations reflected the feelings of Trump himself. However, it wouldn’t be the first time the president has been irked by Israel’s behavior.

In an unprecedented, public, foul-mouthed tirade, Trump voiced his frustration against Israel last month when it planned a massive airstrike in response to the launch of a single missile by Iran after a ceasefire ending the 12-day war took effect.

According to Axios, US special envoy to Syria Tom Barrack asked Israel on Tuesday to halt its attacks on Syria to make room for diplomacy, and Israel agreed. However, on Wednesday, Israel carried out extensive attacks in Syria, including on its military headquarters and close to the presidential palace.

Israel said it was acting in support of the Druze, who form a substantial community in Israel and are seen as a loyal minority, with many serving in the Israeli military.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey complained to the White House, as did Barrack and US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

“The bombing in Syria caught the president and the White House by surprise,” a US official was quoted as saying. “The president doesn’t like turning on the television and seeing bombs dropped in a country he is seeking peace in and made a monumental announcement to help rebuild.”

“Bibi’s political agenda is driving his senses. It will turn out to be a big mistake for him long-term,” one official said.

The Total Unaccountability of Israel Demonstrates the Moral Failure of the Western World

Sometimes I think it’s astonishing how aggressively Israel’s supporters work to stomp out criticism of Israel. Then I remember that these people also support mass murdering children; trying to take away my speech rights is one of their less evil goals. It shouldn’t shock me.

I saw someone talking online about how crazy it is that music groups who speak out against Israel’s atrocities are starting to form alliances with each other in an effort to counteract the campaign to silence them and destroy their careers, saying it shouldn’t be necessary to form an alliance in order to oppose an ongoing genocide. And that’s true, it shouldn’t be necessary. But it also shouldn’t surprise us that people who think bombing hospitals is fine would try to cancel musicians for criticizing Israel.

One mistake westerners keep making is thinking of Israel’s supporters as normal people with normal moral standards just because we happen to know them and interact with them in our communities. They look like us, speak like us, dress like us and act like us, so we assume they must think and feel a lot like us as well.

But they don’t. If you’re still supporting Israel in the year 2025, there’s something seriously wrong with you as a person. You do not have a normal, healthy sense of empathy and morality.

It’s 2025. Israeli soldiers are telling the Israeli press that they’re being ordered to massacre starving civilians trying to obtain food from aid centers. Countless doctors have been telling the world that Israeli snipers are routinely, deliberately shooting children in the head and chest throughout the Gaza Strip. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and all the leading genocide experts and human rights authorities are saying that a genocide is being perpetrated in Gaza. The New York fucking Times just published an op-ed by a Zionist genocide scholar who’s finally admitting that it’s a genocide.

There’s no way to deny what this is anymore. If you still support Israel in the year 2025, it’s not because you don’t believe Israel is committing horrific atrocities. It’s because you believe those horrific atrocities are good, and you want to see more of them.

Most Israel supporters will deny that this is the case, because they lie. They lie constantly. They have no moral problem with lying. They have no moral problem with burning children alive, so of course they have no problem with lying.

That’s where people go wrong. They assume Israel supporters can’t possibly be lying about their concerns about “antisemitism” in order to promote the information interests of Israel, because nobody could be that evil. But Israel supporters think it’s fine to intentionally starve babies by blockading baby formula from entering Gaza. Of course they are that evil.

Epstein Scandal Deepens as Senator Uncovers Pam Bondi’s Damning FBI Directive to Shield Trump

Senator Dick Durbin says Attorney General Pam Bondi ordered the FBI to dig through Jeffrey Epstein’s records—not to expose the truth, but to protect Donald Trump.

Durbin, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, made the explosive claim in a series of letters sent Friday to Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Director Dan Bongino. He says Bondi directed roughly 1,000 FBI employees to work around the clock reviewing 100,000 Epstein-related documents, specifically to flag anything that mentioned Trump.

“FBI personnel were instructed to ‘flag’ any records in which President Trump was mentioned,” Durbin wrote.

Durbin says this directive came from “information my office received” and accused Bondi of forcing the FBI’s Information Management Division into an intense review on a rushed timeline.

The senator questioned why the FBI was given this order, who made the decision, and what happened to the documents that mentioned Trump. He demanded a list of all flagged records and asked that it be sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Office of Inspector General.

Durbin also brought up Trump’s past connections to Epstein, including a 2002 quote where Trump said Epstein was a “terrific guy” and “a lot of fun to be with.”

He cited a Wall Street Journal report that said Trump sent Epstein’s partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, a letter in 2003 for a birthday album. The letter, according to the report, was typed over the outline of a naked woman, hand-drawn in marker, with Trump’s signature placed under the figure’s waist.

Durbin asked if Bondi, Patel, or Bongino had personally reviewed all DOJ files related to Epstein. He also wants to know whether the FBI is hiding other documents that weren’t included in the Justice Department’s public release.

The letter takes aim at Bondi’s public claims too. In February, during a Fox News interview, Bondi said: “A list of Epstein’s clients is sitting on my desk right now to review.”

But that statement clashes with a Justice Department memo released earlier this month, which claims a “systematic review” of Epstein records turned up no incriminating client list.

Durbin wasn’t buying it.

“The claim in the memo that no list exists contradicts public statements that Ms. Bondi repeatedly made,” he wrote.

He also pointed to Bondi’s other public claim—that a whistleblower told her the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York was sitting on thousands of Epstein documents. Durbin now wants to know what those documents are, when Bondi got that information, and whether it was ever shared with Congress or the DOJ inspector general.

Durbin is also questioning the decision to assign nearly 1,000 FBI employees to work nonstop on the Epstein files back in March. He’s demanding answers about who authorized that level of manpower and why so many agents were pulled from the FBI’s New York office for the job.

The Illinois Senator also cast doubt on the DOJ’s recent claim that Epstein died by suicide, citing the July 7 memo that claimed “fully raw” video footage backed the conclusion. But Durbin says the metadata in the footage suggests it was likely altered.

“Public skepticism of the government’s transparency in this matter has been needlessly increased due to your release of surveillance video from outside of Jeffrey Epstein’s cell,” Durbin wrote. “In fact, the footage was likely modified, according to the metadata embedded in the video.”

He’s now demanding a full list of any edits made to the footage and wants answers from Bondi, Patel, and Bongino no later than August 1.

“Prompt attention to this important matter is crucial to understanding the truth and preventing this administration’s actions from causing greater harm,” he wrote.

With new questions about political interference, altered evidence, and withheld documents, Durbin’s demands have put Pam Bondi directly in the center of a deepening scandal.

US special envoy meets Chabad rabbis in Ukraine amid shifting US stance

"Our meeting with him in this place, which symbolizes the destruction of Kyiv's Jewry, is the best proof of the flourishing of Jewish community life in Ukraine.”

Lieutenant General Joseph Keith Kellogg, the US Special Envoy for the Russia-Ukraine War, met with Chabad emissaries serving as city rabbis throughout Ukraine in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The high-level gathering comes as US President Donald Trump indicates a potential shift in approach to the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe.

Under heavy security, General Kellogg sought a direct understanding of the Ukrainian Jewish community's current situation, its needs, concerns, and its resilience amidst the devastating war. The conflict has profoundly impacted Ukraine's Jewish population, considered one of the largest globally, with entire communities fractured and rebuilt, and hundreds of Jewish lives lost to bombardments and frontline combat.

JPost Videos

The meeting, organized by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine (FJCU), which unites 169 Jewish communities in Ukrainian-held territory, brought together key religious leaders.

Among those present were Rabbi Meir Stambler, Chairman of the Jewish Communities of Ukraine; his deputy, Rabbi Rafael Rothman; Chief Rabbi Moshe Asman; Rabbi Yonatan Markovich, Chief Rabbi of Kyiv; and rabbis from cities including Sumy, Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi, Poltava, and the former Luhansk.

In a symbolic location, the discussions took place in a tent erected at Babi Yar, the notorious killing site where tens of thousands of Kyiv Jews were murdered by Nazi Germans. Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian-Jewish Presidential Office and a close aide to President Zelensky, also attended. The meeting began with Rabbi Rothman reciting Psalm 23 in English, a moment that reportedly moved General Kellogg to tears. Rabbi Asman then offered a blessing for peace and success.

Rabbi Stambler conveyed a message of enduring vitality to General Kellogg: "Our meeting with him in this place, which symbolizes the destruction of Kyiv's Jewry, is the best proof of the flourishing of Jewish community life in Ukraine.” He acknowledged the destruction of communities in over ten cities by the war, but emphasized the establishment of new ones and the expansion of existing ones due to refugee integration. Stambler also highlighted the "full support from the central government in Kyiv and from the authorities in all cities and regions.”

Addressing President Trump's role, Rabbi Stambler stated, "Trump, as the leader of the free world, has the right and the duty to do what everyone expects of him and bring peace to this region of the world.” He added, "It is written that before the Messiah comes, one will be able to distinguish between darkness and light, and we are happy that President Trump now knows, like everyone else, who is on the right and just side. We, of course, fully support President Zelensky in all his steps for Ukraine.

Particularly poignant remarks came from Rabbi Yechiel Lutinsky, a California native residing in Sumy, just 17 kilometers from the Russian border and mere kilometers from the front lines. Despite Sumy being under heavy shelling, Rabbi Lutinsky informed the US envoy that he chose to remain in Ukraine with his community, assisting elderly Holocaust survivors and families with infants. He praised Ukraine's significant progress since breaking from the Soviet Union in accommodating minorities, affirming full support for the nation.

Andriy Yermak informed General Kellogg that approximately 200 Chabad emissary families reside in Ukraine, with the country actively supporting them. "We are proud that they feel at home here," Yermak said, noting President Zelensky's pleasure that these rabbis have "bound their fate with the fate of the local population," which provides strength for their fight for justice. Yermak considers the rabbis "ambassadors of light" for Ukraine both domestically and internationally.

Russia Pounds Ukraine With Over 300 Drones, Killing 1 in Odesa

Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine overnight into Saturday with hundreds of drones, killing at least one person, part of a stepped-up bombing campaign that has dashed hopes for a breakthrough in efforts to end the more than 3-year-old war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on X, saying Russia fired over 300 drones, along with more than 30 cruise missiles.

One person died when Russian forces attacked the Black Sea port city of Odesa with more than 20 drones and a missile, the city’s mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov, said Saturday on Telegram, while five people were rescued when a fire broke out in a residential high-rise building.

According to Zelenskyy, six other people were wounded in the attack on Odesa, including a child, and critical infrastructure was damaged in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region.

The Ukrainian president also thanked international leaders “who understand how important it is to promptly implement our agreements” aimed at boosting Ukraine’s defense capabilities, including joint weapons production, drone manufacturing, and the supply of air defense systems.

Russia has been intensifying its long-range attacks on Ukrainian cities. It now often batters Ukraine with more drones in a single night than it did during some entire months in 2024, and analysts say the barrages are likely to escalate. On July 8, Russia unleashed more than 700 drones — a record.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said it shot down 71 Ukrainian drones overnight into Saturday. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that 13 drones were shot down as they approached the Russian capital.

The CIA Initiated an Intelligence and Terrorist War on Russia Based on a Lie

Foreign Policy published an article last week by Tim Weiner, author of Legacy of Ashes, with the title, When the Threat Is Inside the White House: What CIA insiders make of the MAGA moles and toadies now in charge of U.S. national security. While the intent of the article is to paint Trump and his team as a bunch of Russian toadies, Weiner unwittingly paints a picture of the CIA’s leadership as biased operators with no understanding of Russia… They still think they are engaging a communist authoritarian state.

Here’s the opening paragraph:

If our nation’s spies are the infantry of our ideology, as John Le Carré once observed, Tom Sylvester is an unknown soldier who became a four-star general. Two years ago, he was named the CIA’s deputy director of operations, in charge of thousands of officers conducting espionage, covert action, and paramilitary operations. He won the job by virtue of his role in stealing Russia’s war plans for Ukraine, warning the world about the coming invasion, and providing steadfast support to Kyiv’s military and intelligence services.

Weiner credits Sylvester with “stealing Russia’s war plans for Ukraine,” but completely ignores the role the CIA played in provoking Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The entire narrative surrounding Sylvester’s actions is constructed around the premise that Russia is a bad, evil actor and that its actions have nothing to do with Western provocations, especially the expansion of NATO to the East.

The next “highlight” from Weiner’s piece provides an excellent example of the CIA’s bias and ignorance when it comes to Russia:

In the summer of 2017, Sylvester received new marching orders from Tomas Rakusan, the new chief of the clandestine service, whose identity remained a state secret until after his retirement. Rakusan had spied on Russia since before the end of the Cold War, operating throughout Central and Eastern Europe. His hatred of the Russians was bred in the bone. His parents were Czech; he was 9 years old when Soviet troops crushed the Prague Spring uprising in 1968. Rakusan saw Russian President Vladimir Putin’s subversion of the presidential election on Trump’s behalf as the espionage equivalent of 9/11. In retaliation, he aimed to penetrate the Kremlin—among the greatest aspirations of the CIA since its foundation, and a goal never achieved.

Hatred of Russians? It is one thing to despise the Soviet Union, which was governed by a Communist ideology. But the “End of the Cold War” was marked by the peaceful overthrow of a communist government and the creation of a new Russian government that emphasized nationalism and Christianity. So how is that a threat to the United States? Moreover, during the decade of the 1990s, Russia’s military was in disarray and the society was ravaged by economic crisis, which included two periods of hyperinflation, widespread poverty among the Russian people, and a dramatic decline in life expectancy among Russian men.
