the battery system should be antitrusted from the chassis and drive train.

that way a company can't get a monopoloy on automobiles based upon their advances in battery technology.

that way batteries will be much less expensive.

That way one could stop in, get the battery removed, have a charged on put into place.

decouple the batteries from the chassis.

 

if the batteries were integrated into the machine, I suppose that would a reason to have a waiver for the rule, if they were part of the wheel, for example.

but if it's a separate battery, and say Toyota gets some great new tech, that all other EV chassis of any manufacturer would thus be able to benifit.

also it would create competition and make outragous mainance of dead batteries a thing of the past.

I was just saying that to pretend that the person was talking about steam engines.

obviously they are pushing a 'water as fuel' alternative narrative that most people think is a false narrative.
