DOJ Announces Imminent Meeting With Ghislaine Maxwell

Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed Tuesday morning that the Department of Justice is to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘madam’ who has expressed a desire to talk about the so called ‘client list’.

“This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced in a statement shard by Bondi.

He added, “The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was written. Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

Blanche added that “President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say.”

“Therefore, at the direction of Attorney General Bondi, I have communicated with counsel for Ms. Maxwell to determine whether she would be willing to speak with prosecutors from the Department. I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days. Until now, no administration on behalf of the Department had inquired about her willingness to meet with the government. That changes now,” Blanche further urged.

Maxwell, currently serving a 20 year prison sentence for sexually trafficking and abusing underage girls, is the only person who has been held accountable for Epstein’s crimes.

According to Axios, Massie’s petition now has over 10 Republican signatures—enough to bypass the Speaker and bring the measure to a vote.

A joint statement by 28 nations urging a ceasefire undermines talks with Hamas, prime ministerial adviser Dmitry Gendelman has claimed

A joint call by 28 countries for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and the full resumption of humanitarian aid is “wrong and dangerous” and undermines ongoing negotiations, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday.

The statement – signed by more than a dozen EU nations, along with Britain, Japan, Canada, Australia, Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland, and others – warned that Gaza’s humanitarian crisis had reached intolerable levels. The foreign ministers condemned the “drip feeding of aid” and the “inhumane killing of civilians, including children” seeking food and water. Citing UN and Gaza Health Ministry figures showing over 800 Palestinians killed while seeking aid, the statement called the situation “horrifying” and urged Israel to meet its obligations under international humanitarian law.

Netanyahu’s adviser Dmitry Gendelman said the appeal sent Hamas a “wrong and dangerous message,” calling it a “delusion” that ignored the “obvious truth” that Hamas alone was blocking a ceasefire. He accused the militant group of launching the war, holding hostages, and rejecting “clear and fair” truce proposals accepted by Israel.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry also dismissed the statement as “disconnected from reality,” accusing Hamas of prolonging the war by refusing a US-backed ceasefire and hostage deal.

Ceasefire talks resumed in Doha on July 6 under US, Qatari, and Egyptian mediation. The current proposal, reportedly endorsed by Israel, involves a 60‑day truce, phased hostage releases, partial Israeli troop withdrawals, and expanded humanitarian aid. Hamas, however, is demanding a full and permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and international guarantees on reconstruction.

Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza in 2023 after a deadly Hamas incursion. Since then, over 59,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Gaza’s 2 million residents face a dire humanitarian crisis, with 90% displaced and dependent on limited aid. The 21-month war has pushed the territory to the brink of famine and sparked global protests.

Israel’s actions during the conflict have triggered genocide accusations and led to an ICC arrest warrant for Netanyahu. The EU, UK, Canada, and France have warned of possible sanctions if conditions do not improve.

The Open Source Project DeFlock Is Mapping License Plate Surveillance Cameras All Over the World

DeFlock has mapped the locations of more than a thousand ALPRs around the United States and thousands more around the world.

On his drive to move from Washington state to Huntsville, Alabama, Will Freeman began noticing lots of cameras.

“So I moved to Alabama, and on my way there, once I started getting into the South, I saw a ton of these black poles with a creepy looking camera and a solar panel on top,” Freeman told me. “I took a picture of it and ran it through Google, and it brought me to the Flock website. And then I knew like, ‘Oh, that’s a license plate reader.’ I started seeing them all over the place and realized that they were for the police. And I didn’t like that.”

Flock is one of the largest vendors of automated license plate readers (ALPRs) in the country. The company markets itself as having the goal to fully “eliminate crime” with the use of ALPRs and other connected surveillance cameras, a target experts say is impossible.

In Huntsville, Freeman noticed that license plate reader cameras were positioned in a circle at major intersections, forming a perimeter that could track any car going into or out of the city’s downtown. He started to look for cameras all over Huntsville and the surrounding areas, and soon found that Flock was not the only game in town. He found cameras owned by Motorola, and a third, owned by a company called Avigilon (a subsidiary of Motorola). Flock and automated license plate reader cameras owned by other companies are now in thousands of neighborhoods around the country. Many of these systems talk to each other and plug into other surveillance systems, making it possible to track people all over the country.

“It went from me seeing 10 license plate readers to probably seeing 50 or 60 in a few days of driving around,” Freeman said. “I wanted to make a record of these things. I thought, ‘Can I make a database of these license plate readers?’”

And so he made a map, and called it DeFlock. DeFlock runs on Open Street Map, an open source, editable mapping software. He began posting signs for DeFlock to the posts holding up Huntsville’s ALPR cameras, and made a post about the project to the Huntsville subreddit, which got good attention from people who lived there. People have been plotting not just Flock ALPRs, but all sorts of ALPRs, all over the world.

During his four years in office, the former Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, reportedly oversaw a department that spent more than $80 billion on grants for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

That total represented “at least half of the DOT’s entire budget for a typical fiscal year,” The New York Post reported.

Sources told the Post that at a meeting, Buttigieg told an airline industry executive that improving existing air traffic control would simply increase air traffic, “and so why would that be in his interest?” sources said.

“He was definitely pushing an agenda,” one air industry official told the Post, adding that Buttigieg had “little to no interest” and took “definitely zero action” for bringing air traffic control up-to-date.

In February 2023, on the same day a FedEx cargo plane almost crashed into a Southwest Airlines plane in Austin, Texas, Buttigieg posted a video to celebrate “Transit Equity Day.”

In August 2023, Buttigieg’s DOT announced the appointment of 24 members to the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity (ACTE). “They include experts in community engagement, transportation planning, design, research, policy, advocacy, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA),” the Department of Transportation wrote.

In February 2025, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated, “Effective immediately, the Department of Transportation will no longer participate in celebrations based on immutable traits or any other identity-based observances. So here’s what happened.

Maxwell delayed her appeal to SCOTUS until after the inauguration. Trump’s DOJ twice delayed the decision whether they were going to defend the appeal, finally filing their response on Monday.

That day, Maxwell’s defense attorney, David Markus, insinuated that Trump was reneging on a deal.

In a statement Monday, an attorney for Maxwell hinted at the swirling controversy surrounding the Trump administration’s decision not to release any further records related to investigations of Epstein.

“I’d be surprised if President Trump knew his lawyers were asking the Supreme Court to let the government break a deal. He’s the ultimate dealmaker—and I’m sure he’d agree that when the United States gives its word, it should keep it. With all the talk about who’s being prosecuted and who isn’t, it’s especially unfair that Ghislaine Maxwell remains in prison based on a promise the government made and broke,” wrote David Oscar Markus.

The next day, Tuesday, WSJ moved forward with a story implicating Trump in “daily secrets” with Jeffrey Epstein.

The following day, Wednesday, Pam Bondi fired Maurene Comey, the prosecutor who would be competent to assess any cooperation offered from Maxwell.

Friday, in a false show of transparency, Todd Blanche (filing under his defense attorney identity) moved to unseal grand jury transcripts that DOJ has in a form it could release immediately.

FIDF chairman and CEO resign amid reports of financial abuse, mismanagement

Morey Levovitz accused of financial abuse and creating a toxic culture in the non-profit, which has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for IDF soldiers

The chairman and CEO of Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) stepped down Tuesday following an internal investigation of the organization that alleged financial mismanagement, internal dysfunction, and a toxic workplace culture.

Morey Levovitz resigned from his position as chairman of the non-profit, which raised hundreds of millions of dollars to support IDF soldiers since Hamas launched its war with Israel on October 7, 2023.

CEO Steve Weil has also resigned, after holding the position for five years, FIDF said in a statement Tuesday.

Former FIDF chairperson Nily Falic will fill Levovitz’s position until the FIDF board goes through a formal process of nominating officers for an election in September.

Earlier in July, the Hebrew daily Ynet reported on an 18-page document from an internal investigation that accused Levovitz of awarding contracts to associates without oversight and authorizing lavish spending. The investigation also found that he handpicked committee members to consolidate his power and created a toxic workplace culture that pervaded the entire organization.

FIDF has been in a state of internal turmoil since the report was made public, and has been investigating the findings.

A national board meeting to vote Levovitz out of his position last week was delayed in order to give him the opportunity to resign on his own, according to reports.

Levovitz resigned “out of deep respect for the mission of FIDF and to help usher in a new chapter for the organization,” FIDF’s statement said. “We are sincerely grateful to Morey for his visionary leadership, especially during one of the most critical periods in Israel’s history.”

“We are fully committed to building a culture of transparency, collaboration, and unity within our organization because when FIDF is strong internally, we are strongest for Israel’s soldiers,” the organization added.

FIDF was founded in 1981, and has 25 chapters across the United States that raise funds to benefit Israeli soldiers.

The organization is known for flashy, high-profile fundraising events with celebrities that have attracted donations from prominent billionaire philanthropists.

It raised a whopping $280 million in 2023 on the heels of the October 7 Hamas attack, a sum believed to be more than any other Jewish charity, according to JTA.

US Envoy: US Has No Business Trying to Get Israel to Stop Attacking Lebanon

Lebanon wanted US guarantees to meet demands to disarm Hezbollah

Continuing the increasingly confusing situation centering on the US demands for Lebanon to fully disarm Hezbollah by November, US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack was in Lebanon again to meet with officials, and to dismiss the guarantees Lebanese officials were seeking.

Hezbollah rejected the disarmament demand citing the constant Israeli attacks and ongoing occupation of Lebanese soil. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wanted a guarantee from the US that Israel would actually stop attacking Lebanon if the disarmament happened, so that could be used as leverage to try to reintroduce the talks with Hezbollah.

Though it had previously been suggested in media reports that the US was floating such guarantees along with the demand, Barrack was quick to disavow the idea, declaring that the US has “no business in trying to compel Israel to do anything.”

Since the US was, along with France, meant to be the guarantors of the November ceasefire, they actually do in this case have business in trying to compel Israel to meet the terms of that ceasefire.

Moreover, the US is actively trying to get Israel to stop attacking Syria, so they plainly have no problem in trying to compel Israel to stop attacking places. It’s just that in Lebanon, Barrack simply isn’t concerned with the thousands of Israeli strikes carried out since the ceasefire went into effect. Barrack even addressed the Israeli attacks on Syria, saying they came at a very bad time.

Barrack continued to try to totally rewrite the history of what the US was demanding, what it was offering, and what it was threatening with respect to Lebanon, declaring that the US wasn’t considering any retaliation if Hezbollah wasn’t disarmed. “There’s no consequence, there’s no threat, there’s no whip,” he insisted.

Nine days prior, in an interview with The National, Barrack threatened Lebanon’s continued existence if they don’t “get in line” and comply with the US demands. He raised the prospect of Israel and Syria just carving up Lebanese territory among themselves.

Now the Barrack narrative seems to be that all of this never happened. It’s not the first time he’s totally changed the story publicly. A week before that newsworthy threat in the interview, he insisted he was “unbelievably satisfied” with Lebanon’s response to the demands which was, to be a clear, a rejection of the US demands.

A billionaire real estate investor, Barrack first dealt with President Trump in the 1980s, selling him the Plaza Hotel for $410 million. He supported Trump heavily in his 2016 campaign, and served as a middle man for a number of wealthy Gulf states following that. He was appointed the Ambassador to Turkey in May, and has since been given the Syria portfolio as well. Though it’s not among his job titles, he’s also been the centerpiece of Trump Administration demands on Lebanon, though clearly it’s not always easy to pin down what those positions actually are.

The agency’s hiring of more than 400 foreign journalists, from about 2009 to the end of the Biden administration, raises questions because of the liberal use of J1 cultural exchange visas, which are not designed for use as a general work authorization.

The employment records were uncovered by a sweeping review of the United States Agency for Global Media by Senior Advisor Kari Lake and her staff ordered by the Trump administration, which seeks to reorganize the agency and return it to its statutory role.

The work builds on concerns dating back to the first Trump administration, unearthed by the president’s pick to lead the agency, Michael Pack. Just a week before President Joe Biden took office, Pack submitted a formal request to the State Department's Office of Inspector General for a full investigation of security, financial and other issues—including alleged improper use of the J1 visas—he said he uncovered at USAGM during his seven-month tenure.

National security protocols

Now that Trump is back in power, House Republicans also launched a probe last month into the agency’s hiring practices and vetting of foreign national employees.

The USAGM was formed in the 1990s to oversee various U.S. government media entities, including the Voice of America, which was established during World War II to combat Axis propaganda and used during the Cold War to promote Western and American values behind the Soviet Union’s Iron Curtain.

The review commissioned by former director Pack in late 2020 and early 2021 concluded that the agency routinely failed to adhere to proper “national security protocols” and personnel security practices, as well as “left largely unaddressed” repeated warnings from federal intelligence and personnel offices, Just the News previously reported.

The newly-disclosed employment records confirm some of the other conclusions of the Pack review, including allegations that not only was USAGM heavily relying on J-1 visas to hire foreign nationals, in violation of President Trump's 2017 "Buy American and Hire American" order, but it was "rubber-stamping" applications and renewal requests for staff.

Ordinarily, J1 visa holders are required to return to their home countries following the end of their program for at least two years before applying for residency in the United States. However, the employment records show many of the foreign nationals hired by VOA were issued Green Cards shortly after or during their tenures. J1 recipients are eligible for this requirement to be waived under certain conditions, one of which is by a request from a U.S. government agency, per the Department of State.

At the time, however, the independent law firm hired by Pack to conduct the review was not able to determine how many foreign nationals were hired using the visas or identify them. The State Department's portal for J-1 visas says their application includes professors, students, researchers, interns, au pairs and "summer work travel" among others, but does not list journalists or federal workers.

“The suspects were identified and arrested with a clear show of force at the Tomorrowland festival in Boom,” the groups said on Monday.

HRF director Dyab Abou Jahjah said: “Within the framework of the long fight for accountability, this is a major milestone. This is the first time that a European country acknowledges universal jurisdiction against Israeli soldiers and acts upon it in a forceful way, arrests them, and brings them to a police station to interrogate them,” he told Middle East Eye.

Dearblah Minogue, Glan’s senior lawyer who worked on the case with HRF, said the arrests are “the biggest step for accountability since the beginning of the genocide, because law enforecement in Europe actually took action and arrested some suspects”.

“I think we will now see a domino effect across Europe and around the world,” she told MEE, explaining that the accusations brought against the two soldiers include the use of human shields and wanton destruction.

The evidence was collected from the soldiers’ own social media feed.

“One of them posted videos of his unit blowing up property in Gaza and Lebanon,” said Minogue.

“The other posed next to a Palestinian who was being used as a human shield by his unit.”

‘Serious violations’

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office on Monday said it received two complaints on Friday and Saturday from the HRF and Glan, concerning “serious violations of international humanitarian law allegedly committed in the Gaza Strip by two members of the Israeli army” who were in Belgium to attend the Tomorrowland festival.

The prosecutor’s office said it has determined that it might have jurisdiction on the case based on the new Article 14/10 of the Preliminary Title of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which entered into force on 28 April 2024. The article grants Belgian courts jurisdiction over crimes committed outside Belgium based on the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Convention against Torture of 1984.

“In light of this possible jurisdiction, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office instructed the police to locate the two individuals mentioned in the complaint and to proceed with their questioning. After the interviews, they were released,” it said, adding that no further information will be provided at this stage of the investigation.

Now Gabbard is telling us that America should focus on Russiagate? That’s the real issue? Of course, as Hagopian rightly points out, Russiagate is significant, but it is certainly being used as a diversion from the core matters at hand. And if it is as important as she claims, why does the Trump administration continue to support Ukraine? Did the American people ask for this? Did Trump’s voters demand it? Didn’t he promise to end the wars?

Furthermore, why does the United States continue to support the Israeli regime as it slaughters and butchers innocent men, women, and children in Gaza? Once again, Gabbard could not be more wrong—and this is deeply disappointing because, during her presidential campaign, she was the one who exposed how the people behind the military-industrial complex sit at their desks and invent wars for Americans to fund.

In any case, it is sad to say that Gabbard, through both her silence and her diversions, is aligning herself with the very forces responsible for the atrocities in Gaza—the same forces that enabled Epstein to build a pedophile island to exploit minors.

I was somewhat surprised to see that Paul Craig Roberts fell into that trap. Yes, Obama should be tried for his role in the Russiagate hoax. But how can Craig fall for Trump’s ridiculous claim that the Democrats are using the Epstein case against him as a ploy? Craig recently declared, “Now the whores have moved on to using Epstein against Trump.” Really? Russiagate was wrong, but suggesting that Trump’s alleged involvement in what appears to be a pedophile criminal act is merely a Democratic ploy? Come on, Craig. You’re better than that.

Craig goes on to say: “Tulsi Gabbard tries to restore justice to a weaponized ‘justice system.’ But are members of the Ruling Elite above the law?” So Gabbard and Trump are not part of that elite system? The American people are asking for both Obama and Trump to be held accountable. No partiality here. If one class of elites is to be held accountable while the other is not, what are we really selling here?

Even the fine print on Donald Trump’s meme coin warned buyers back in January that $TRUMP was “not intended to be … an investment opportunity.” But that didn’t stop his supporters from rushing in to buy loads of this coin with no inherent value, earning the president and his team close to $100 million in trading fees in just a couple of weeks. Six months later, after a score of Trump-branded deals and crypto offerings mint the president money elsewhere, the meme coin is back to make him even richer on paper.

Beginning on Thursday, businesses affiliated with the president will be allowed to sell off 90 million of $TRUMP tokens, per the crypto-analytics firm Messari. In crypto, this is called an “unlock” — a scheduled increase to the liquidity of a meme coin to allow early investors to cash out if they so choose. With $TRUMP trading at just over $10, the president’s share of those coins is worth about $93 million — a sum that was not calculated into his estimated $5.1 billion net worth until now. Not bad for something invented out of thin air with no utility whatsoever.

It remains to be seen if he will actually cash out. During the last token unlock in April, the Trump team held steady, retaining the coin’s value instead of selling, which would have tanked the price. There are some signs, though, that there won’t be a sell-off — signs like massive foreign investment for no apparent reason other than to gain favor with the president. In May, a Chinese company with zero revenue and ties to the government in Beijing bought $300 million worth of bitcoin and $TRUMP. Last week, crypto investor Justin Sun — who already is the top $TRUMP holder — announced he would buy $100 million worth of the coin.

The Treasury Department identified 4,725 wire transfers from a single Epstein-linked account, totaling $1.1 billion. These were flagged in Suspicious Activity Reports filed by JPMorgan Chase. Many were routed through offshore entities and shell companies.

The DOJ memo released July 7 confirms over 1,000 victims. It states that Epstein died by suicide and that no “client list” was found. But the memo also acknowledges thousands of images and videos, many involving minors. The FBI reviewed over 300 gigabytes of data. Much of it remains sealed. The DOJ says further disclosure is not appropriate. That’s the official position.

Grand jury records from the 2008 case were released last year. They include sealed testimony, plea negotiations, and internal DOJ emails. The files are archived. Judges are now reviewing additional transcripts from the Maxwell case. Victims and representatives have been asked to weigh in before any release.
