Just the other day, I binge watched the purge series of movies. After the 3rd one, I went down the street and watched the new one, as well. After watching all four movies, in near back-to-back succession I took a two hour nap and then remembered I needed to check QResearch for updates.
Let me tell you something. If ANYONE says movies do not affect real life, they are full of shit. FULL OF IT. Every post I read seemed tainted with thoughts of how it applied to or was affected by this movie-driven event called the purge. I simply couldn't get it out of my head and reach back to my autistic roots.
The edginess of the movies kept creeping into any thoughts of our current efforts at taking back our nation. As I tried to think of ways to get the message out there, the carnage of the purge kept me from thinking outside the box. It kept me nervous and off balance.
I am so scared our country could go this way if we fail. In fact, the beginning of the new purge movie had newscasts in the background pseudo-justifying purging because of the opioid crisis and other current day problems. It's like they are trying to normalize this wicked approach to governing.
If anything, I've learned to go cleanse my mind with a great comedy before jumping back into critical thinking. It's amazing how effective the programming can be–even when you're looking out for it and hell-bent that it can't affect you.
