If bad things were happening at the hotel–e.g. honeypot/prostitution involving/using trafficked individuals, esp. minors– those things run afoul of a certain, recent executive order( www. whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-blocking-property-persons-involved-serious-human-rights-abuse-corruption/).
According to that EO, the hotel and all related assets can be blocked and, I think, the management can do nothing with any related properties, computers, bank accounts, financial records, etc.
If something really untoward is happening in and through that hotel chain, that's a ball of twine someone wouldn't want unwound because at the other end is God only knows who.
