From the Goldsmith angle this looks like a long-con to establish control of PAK.

He's a great candidate for them to run.

He's a legendary/worshipped figure in PAK = Easy Votes.

However, it seems he may have proved too hard to control. They had no real leverage. The only hope was through spousal control. Failed.

Fast forward to today and he has won the election with the full support of both Military & Taliban leaders.

We've seen shifts in PAK politics over the last 2 years – murders and arrests. Work is clearly being done behind the scenes. (ThankQ)

Therefore, I find it hard to believe they would allow a 'bad actor' to gain control of the PAK Presidency.

His stance on routing out corruption mixed with US Linked scandals (AWAN) will make the PAK-US relationship most beneficial – much akin to the UK/RUS and U1. Co-operation against corruption.

Furthermore, peace talks among the Taliban and US officials in Afghanistan have officially took place, with many talks of peace also occurring prior. This creates yet another co-operative opportunity between US/PAK.

PAK is not only instrumental in creating peace in the ME (Taliban) it is also one of the few renaming global hot spots the Cult could take advantage of.

PAK is openly hostile versus India, both Nuclear powers, and can easily draw in China/RUS/US into a conflict. With the retaking of NK, and soon Iran, this moves PAK into one of their last WW3-esque plays.

Not to mention the sheer amount of evil that has taken place on passed through PAK from countires like RUS/Iran/China etc + Even more ammo to 'public ally' fight the Cult with.
