You have given us various time frames and these have not been kept. Like any game of chess, there are moves and counter-moves. We can anticipate timing and sometimes get it wrong.
In project-management, we use the word "SLIP" to indicate that an anticipated milestone on the timetable is late. It's not an indication of failure, but an indication that the project is behind. PERT charts…
My humble suggestion is to use SLIP xxx where xxx is the previous time frame that has been disaffected. In this way, anons can know that you've noticed it slipping and are notifying us.
I think this would reduce anxiety about deadlines.
One would not need to explain this to POTUS!
