back in the 80s the pediatrician wanted our son to take fluoride tabs because we lived in an area where the water was not fluoridated. Doc gave us a prescription and a sample supply. We didn't know any better at the time. Fortunately our son, after taking the tabs for 2 or 3 days, said he hated them and refused to take them any more. We agreed. Long story short he has great teeth. Oh, the water district was required by fed gov to start fluoridating the water a few years later. We moved away.
