Watched some 80s and 90s B horror films yesterday. Watched Ghoulies which was a cheaply made Gremlins knockoff with more gore, and nearly had the well known effect person Stan Winston involved.
The first scene is a satanic ritual in which a father is sacrificing his infant son for satanic power and knowledge. As I watched more with subtitles, I realized they had included actual ritual magick practices from the Golden Dawn in the film over and over again. Did they show us what is actually happening at places like Epsteins temple? Hiding in plain sight? Yr average viewer who has exactly zero knowledge of the occult would not even think twice about it.
I thought its curious how real occult ritual magick has been included in the 80s and before, and only recently have non-occultists notcied it. This fucking movie was PG-13 btw, which was conceptualized by Speilberg which is another whole ball of wax.
