GM, frens! Here's to a day full of wins!

Anon is 58, and has been here since around Christmas 2017. We've been on one epic roller coaster ride since then, huh?

At times I've been very active with digs, putting together proofs, posting breaking news, making memes, even planefagged for a couple of years.

Other times I just lurk and look for an opportunity to reply to a post with something snarky and satirical. And I offer all this info to segue' into what's next.

There's lots of back-story behind what I'm about to say but I'm just too exhausted to write it out right now so what I have to say is this:

You guys have been the best therapists I've ever visited, and I've been to several, including as a voluntary inpatient.

I keep a Q tab open on the browser all day long. It serves as my home base during the day and I pop in and out and follow along to see if I can add anything or bring something new with me.

I guess this place has kind of replaced the Rush Limbaugh Show for me. I was a traveling salesman from 1990 to 2002. It comforted me knowing that I could have three hours of my work day where I didn't have to think about work and life. I just has to drive the open road and be entertained by intelligent and humorous conversation between Rush and Bo and the callers.

If you are too young to remember those days, listen here and listen good: Rush Limbaugh saved this country. I mean it.

Reagan had been the standard bearer for modern conservatism since 1964…more so even than Goldwater. But Reagan's days as that standard bearer ended on January 20, 1989. Sadly, Bush 41 couldn't carry that standard. Of course, we know now, he never had any intention to keep 'Reagan' alive…especially since we know he tried to kill him.

Rush went national about halfway through Bush 41's term and Rush was the ONLY national voice that anyone who wanted to hear Reagan conservatism could turn to. We sure didn't get it from Satan 41.

During the Clinton years, Rush kept the hammer down and got some strong support from good ol' Newt Gingrich. Other guys like Hannity hopped on the conservative talk radio bandwagon which amplified the message but Rush was always the leader of the band.

Also in those years, cable business and finance channels were starting up and a regular guest on many of those shows who spoke about micro/macro economics, domestic and global monetary policy, trade, and many other things was an extremely successful international businessman named Donald J. Trump.

My point is, as I said, this place is the BEST place on the internet to find real patriots who can talk straight, give a punch, take a punch, and always find compassionate frens if you are in a bad way and NEED a fren.

And God Bless you Millennials and Gen-Z'ers who adopted and followed Trump knowing nothing about his life prior to 'The Apprentice' (which anon has never seen).

Truly, it warms anon's oldfag heart and restores anon's faith in humanity to see there is still fire fueling our mission.

Anon was giving up…for good.
