Traffic is crazy. The freeways are gridlocked and the roads going to the high ground is solid traffic.
Businesses and Gvt agencies have sent everyone home which is causing more traffic.
Long lines at the gas stations that I passed.
Just glad I was able to get my son and his friends back to our side of the island. We were out celebrating his 11th birthday which was cut short. Told the kids we will celebrate it on a later date.

I think the problem with Hawaii being in such danger has to do with the topography of the seafloor around the islands, The fact that it sits on a seamount. Tsunami wave height will rapidly multiply as a result.
