LIVE: Hearing on DC plane-helicopter collision that killed 67
In Washington the National Transportation Safety Board will hold a three-day investigative hearing on the Jan. 29 mid-air collision between a PSA Airlines CRJ700 regional jetliner and a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The two pilots, two flight attendants, and 60 passengers aboard the airplane, operated as American Airlines Flight 5342, were killed, along with the helicopter’s three crew members.

UK: “Three Officers Arrested” | Police Abused Grooming Gang Victims
One woman said she was raped starting at age 12 by a South Yorkshire Police officer. He allegedly threatened to return her to her abusers if she didn’t cooperate. She told the BBC he assaulted her in a marked police car and demanded sexual acts, knowing she was already being abused by a grooming gang.
She later became pregnant at 15 and was forced into an abortion. When she reported it, the officer who came to take her statement was her alleged abuser and he tore up her report in front of her.

Five grooming gang victims have come forward to claim that they were abused by police.
One victim claimed she was raped from the age of 12 by a serving South Yorkshire Police officer who threatened to hand her back to her abusers if she did not comply.
Three retired officers have been arrested on suspicion of historic sex offences dating back 30 years as part of a new criminal investigation into the involvement of the police in the Rotherham grooming scandal.

'He was a well-liked officer'
A South Yorkshire Police officer who was under investigation as part of the Rotherham sex abuse scandal died on the day he learned of the allegations against him.
Pc Hassan Ali, 44, was killed when he was hit by a car on 28 January 2015.
Earlier that day, the officer, who had been with the force for 18 years, had been informed that he had been placed on restricted duties following four complaints from two alleged abuse victims.
It is understood he had been accused of pestering one young girl for a date and failing to safeguard victims.
He was also suspected of having connections with organised crime groups in the area supplying drugs.
At the time of his death, the then chief constable, David Crompton, said: “All of our thoughts are with Hassan’s family and on behalf of the force I would like to offer my sincere condolences at this incredibly difficult time.
“Pc Ali was a well-liked officer whose colleagues are devastated by what has happened.”
But one of the women involved in the civil claim has now named Pc Ali as one of her alleged rapists.

Manchester Airport trial LIVE: Jury deliver verdict in police attack case
Footage of the two brothers attacking armed police at Manchester Airport last July was shown to jurors at Liverpool Crown Court head of verdicts being reached today.
Amaaz was shown throwing 10 punches, two 'elbow strikes' and a kick at officers, the MEN reports, while Amaad was videoed throwing six punches.
Police were initially called to the airport's Terminal 2 arrivals pay station after reports that Amaaz allegedly headbutted a member of the public.
The brothers denied all the charges against them and said they acted in self-defence.
