The Warsaw Uprising, was a major World War II operation by the Polish underground resistance to liberate Warsaw from German occupation. It occurred in the summer of 1944, and it was led by the Polish resistance Home Army. The uprising was timed to coincide with the retreat of the German forces from Poland ahead of the Soviet advance. While approaching the eastern suburbs of the city, the Red Army halted combat operations, enabling the Germans to regroup and defeat the Polish resistance and to destroy the city in retaliation. The Uprising was fought for 63 days with little outside support. It was the single largest military effort taken by any European resistance movement during World War II.

>Trump's full speech to crowd in Poland

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Donald_Trump_speech_in_Warsaw

Trump spoke highly of the spirit of the Polish for defending the freedom and independence of the country several times in the speech, notably the unity of Poles against the oppression of communism. He applauded the Poles' prevailing spiritual determination, and recalled the gathering of the Poles in 1979 that created the famous chant: "We want God."

The incident was evoked by Pope John Paul II in his return to Poland when he gave a speech to more than a million Polish people that shook the position of the atheistic communists in Poland. The event created a series of solidarity movements until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

"Why, the pope asked, had God lifted a Pole to the papacy? Perhaps it was because of how Poland had suffered for centuries, and through the 20th century had become "the land of a particularly responsible witness" to God. The people of Poland, he suggested, had been chosen for a great role, to understand, humbly but surely, that they were the repository of a special "witness of His cross and His resurrection." He asked then if the people of Poland accepted the obligations of such a role in history. The crowd responded with thunder.

"We want God!" they shouted, together. "We want God!"

see the wholeness that exists and that not even communism can take away. We are Christians, we are here, we are united, no matter what the communists and their map-makers say.

Boies Schiller Flexner began representing Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein who also accused Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew, Duke of York of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. McCawley was assigned to take on the case because of her experience volunteering with abuse victims in the foster care system. In September 2015, Boies and McCawley filed a defamation suit against Ghislaine Maxwell on behalf of Giuffre.
