Putin questions legality of Ukrainian government
1 Aug, 2025 14:27
Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Vladimir Zelensky’s appeal for regime change in Moscow, saying the Ukrainian leader himself lacks a constitutional basis for claiming presidential authority.
The response came one day after Zelensky urged Ukraine’s international backers to support attempts to topple the Russian government, warning that otherwise, Moscow would “try to destabilize neighboring countries” even if a ceasefire were reached in the ongoing conflict.
“Our political regime is grounded in the Constitution of the Russian Federation, and our government was formed in full compliance with the basic law,” Putin said during a press appearance on Friday. “The same cannot be said about Ukraine.”
Zelensky was elected in 2019 but has remained in office beyond the expiration of his term last year, citing martial law provisions that suspend elections during wartime.
Putin had previously noted that the Ukrainian Constitution mandates that presidential power should be transferred to the speaker of the parliament if a successor is not elected.
While the Kremlin has generally characterized Zelensky’s status as an internal Ukrainian matter, it has raised concerns about the legitimacy of any international agreements he might sign, including a potential peace treaty with Russia.
Officials have suggested that such agreements could later be challenged on legal grounds.
Recent polling has indicated that Zelensky would likely lose a competitive election, with retired General Valery Zaluzhny named by voters as the leading alternative.
Putin’s remarks came during a joint appearance with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko following their visit to Valaam Monastery, a major Orthodox Christian site on an island in Russia’s Lake Ladoga.

Ukrainian kamikaze drone plummets into Russian lake
31 Jul, 2025 19:10
A Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed into a lake in Russia and exploded on contact with the water surface, a new video circulating online purports to show.
The video, which emerged on Wednesday, is said to have been taken by fishermen at Orlik Lake, a large body of water just to the northwest of the city of Bryansk.
Footage shows a large fixed-wing kamikaze drone cruising above the lake before abruptly taking a sharp dive and crashing into the lake, exploding on impact.
The incident was cheered by the fishermen, who seem to have welcomed the unexpected blast-fishing opportunity and suggested they should go and collect the stunned fish, the video shows.
According to Russian media reports, the drone lost control after being subjected to electronic warfare measures.
Moscow and Kiev have recently been exchanging long-range attacks using larger kamikaze UAVs to reach deeper into each other’s territory.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, Russian missiles and drones targeted Ukrainian “defense industry facilities, a military airfield infrastructure, and a depot storing ammunition, missiles, and components for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.”
Russia maintains that it only strikes military and dual-use sites.
Moscow has also said that its raids are retaliation for indiscriminate Ukrainian strikes deep into its territory, which often hit civilian sites and infrastructure.
Earlier this month, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky reiterated his intention to “bring the war to Russian territory” and vowed to ramp up the long-range attacks.

Suspected Russian Drone Found at Military Training Site in Lithuania
Aug 1, 2025
A drone believed to be Russian-made was found at a military training site after it flew into Lithuanian airspace from neighboring Belarus, Lithuania’s army said on Friday.
The drone was first spotted in the early hours of Monday, with residents recording its flight over parts of the capital, Vilnius, before it disappeared from view.
“It’s likely the same one that entered Lithuanian territory on Monday. Based on preliminary information, it appears to be a Gerbera drone, but the details are still being verified,” the Lithuanian military said in a statement.
Gerbera-type drones, used by Russia in its war against Ukraine, are often deployed as decoys to overwhelm or distract air defenses.
Lithuanian military authorities recovered the drone at the Gaižiūnai training grounds, near the town of Rukla, which also hosts a NATO multinational battalion.
“I consider it a provocation,” Mindaugas Sinkevičius, acting head of the ruling Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, told reporters, citing the location where the drone was found.
Lithuanian authorities said the drone was initially detected in Belarusian airspace but was later lost from radar. The government has faced criticism over what some called a slow response.
Lithuania’s Defense Ministry said it would review its procedures and revise rules to allow the military to shoot down suspicious drones more easily.
A similar Gerbera drone entered Lithuanian airspace from Belarus on July 10, prompting some officials to seek safety in bomb shelters.
Russia has launched thousands of drones in its war against Ukraine, with some straying into neighboring countries, including Poland, Romania, Moldova and Latvia.
In September 2024, a Russian Shahed-type attack drone crashed in Latvia.

A Russian drone strike hit the city of Sumy, damaging a garage and a vehicle. Local police are documenting the aftermath of the attack.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy regional police reported the attack on Telegram.
"This afternoon, Russian forces targeted the regional center with a strike drone, hitting a garage and a car. Fortunately, there were no casualties," the statement reads.
A police investigative team and bomb disposal experts are working at the scene, documenting the war crime, surveying the area, and recording the damage.
Investigators are currently considering opening a criminal case under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes).
Meanwhile, regional utility company Sumyoblenergo reported disruptions to the city's electricity supply following the Russian attack.
"The power distribution issues in Sumy are linked to a Russian strike on critical infrastructure," the company said, adding that repair crews are working to restore electricity.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had issued warnings about potential drone threats.
On Friday, August 1, Russian forces also shelled the Esman community in the Sumy region, injuring a 66-year-old woman who was hospitalized in serious condition.

Zelensky, Starmer discuss boosting drone production
01.08.2025 16:54
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss increasing drone production, including interceptor drones.
The head of state said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"I spoke with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer. Keir expressed his condolences over the deaths of our people as a result of Russia's attack on Kyiv.
It was an absolutely vile and brutal missile and drone strike that took the lives of 31 people, including 5 children.
Our conversation today focused on how to stop the killings, provide greater protection for our people, and force Russia to end this war," Zelensky said.
The two leaders discussed the urgent need to ramp up drone production, particularly of interceptor drones. According to Zelensky, there is a specific financial need, and both sides agreed to work on a solution.
Sanctions were also on the agenda. "Russia genuinely fears them, no matter how hard it pretends that it couldn’t care less. Sanctions are undoubtedly working – and there will be more.
We are working with everyone on coordinated restrictive measures," Zelensky said.
In addition, the conversation touched on cooperation with American partners, particularly the coordination of actions with President Trump and possible formats for peace negotiations at the level of leaders.
"We are also preparing for active diplomatic engagement with our partners in Europe and the United States. We aligned our positions ahead of upcoming international events," Zelensky added.

US sanctions international suppliers supporting Iran's Shahed drone manufacturer
August 1, 2025 12:55 pm
The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed new sanctions on a global procurement network accused of supporting Iran's growing military drone program, according to a statement on July 31.
The measures target five companies and one individual based in Iran, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, allegedly involved in sourcing sensitive technology for the Iranian Aviation Manufacturing Company (HESA), a state-owned defense firm linked to Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL).
Iran has been a key ally to Moscow and provided the country with ballistic missiles and thousands of Shahed kamikaze drones — developed and manufactured by HESA — for its war against Ukraine. Russia has also launched production of its own Shahed equivalents called Gerans.
"Iran continues to pursue the development of asymmetric weapons capabilities, including unmanned aerial vehicles, to carry out attacks on the U.S., our service members, and our partners and allies in the region," said Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence John Hurley.
Iran’s Control Afzar Tabriz Co. Ltd., which allegedly procured CNC machine tools for HESA, is among those sanctioned. Hong Kong-based Clifton Trading Limited, accused of acting as an intermediary to conceal Control Afzar’s role, is also targeted.
The list includes Taiwanese firms Mecatron Machinery Co. Ltd. and Joemars Machinery and Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., which reportedly supplied the equipment, along with China-based Changzhou Joemars Industrial Automation Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Joemars Machinery.
The U.S. also sanctioned Javad Alizadeh Hoshyar, CEO of Control Afzar Tabriz Co. Ltd., who allegedly coordinated all procurement activities.
As a result of the sanctions, all assets of the designated individuals and entities under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen. U.S. persons and companies are barred from engaging in transactions with them without authorization from OFAC.
Entities that are 50% or more owned by sanctioned individuals are also automatically subject to the restrictions.
Foreign financial institutions that conduct business with the designated parties risk secondary sanctions, including limits on access to U.S. correspondent or payable-through accounts.
Russia has been regularly deploying Shahed-type drones for nighttime attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, overwhelming Ukrainian air defenses with massive swarms.
Ukraine's intelligence has warned that the Russian defense industry seeks to ramp up the production of the strike drones, aiming to deliver 500 unmanned aircraft per month for Russia's war effort.

Ancient pyramid crumbling into rubble leads to warnings of 'bad omen'
Aug 1, 2025
An ancient pyramid in Mexico has collapsed into a pile of rubble and people think it’s a 'bad omen'.
The stone pyramid in the state of Michoacán became one of many heritage sites to be put in danger due to extreme weather in 2024 after heavy rain caused it to collapse.
The incident occurred on 29 July when the south wall of a 15-metre-tall square pyramid fell down under the pressure of incessantly heavy rain into a pile of rubble.
Prior to this, it was one of the most well-preserved monuments from the Michoacán Kingdom civilisation.
The pyramid is located at the Ihuatzio archaeological site, which is also home to one other pyramid, a tower and tombs.
It is an area that was first inhabited 1,100 years ago by Indigenous Nahuatl-speaking groups and whose culture is still in existence today.
Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) confirmed that one pyramid on the site was affected, but that at least six of its “stepped bodies” were damaged from extreme weather.
In 2024, months of severe drought were followed by thunderstorms and heavy rain.
“The high temperatures, previously recorded in the area, and the consequent drought caused cracks that favored the filtration of water into the interior of the pre-Hispanic building,” the INAH said.
Officials said they would work to repair the structure of the pyramid “in favor of the cultural heritage of Mexicans”.
According to some, the sign of a crumbling pyramid signals a bad omen.
Tariakuiri Alvarez, who is a living member of the P'urhépecha tribe, explained in a translated post: “One of the yacatas in the archaeological zone of Ihuatzio collapsed.
For the builders, that is to say, our ancestors, this meant a bad omen, indicating that some event was approaching.
“Before the arrival of the conquistadors, according to historical accounts, something similar happened in the Purhé worldview of that time because the gods Nana Kuerhaépiri and K'eri Kurikweri were displeased.”
Meanwhile, while we're all familiar with the famous Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, you perhaps didn't know that mysterious ancient pyramids have also been discovered in Poland.
Located in the northwest of the country, these pyramids are known as Giant’s Graves or Kujawian mounds and were first identified back in the mid-1930s.

JD Vance says he’s ‘obsessed’ with mysterious UFO videos
Updated: Aug 1, 2025 / 11:03 AM CDT
Vice President JD Vance is “obsessed with the whole UFO thing,” he said on a podcast episode released Friday.
“What’s actually going on? What were those videos all about? What’s actually happening?” Vance said on the “Ruthless Podcast.” “I haven’t gotten to the bottom of it yet, but we’re only six months in.”
Though Vance was not specific about which “videos” interested him most, there was plenty to see in the skies — and the headlines — last year.
In November, the House Oversight Committee held a hearing on unidentified anomalous phenomena that was intended to find out the extent of Pentagon programs investigating UAPs and any information recovered by them.
Witnesses testified about their experiences working with or in the alleged programs, including Pentagon insider Luis Elizondo.
“Let me be clear: UAP are real,” Elizondo testified. “Advanced technologies not made by our government, or any other government, are monitoring sensitive military installations around the globe.”
Other phenomena included mysterious drones that were spotted across a majority of the continental United States in November and December 2024, with a majority cropping up in New Jersey’s airspace.
The sightings prompted a federal probe, which ultimately determined that the drones weren’t a national security threat nor the work of an “adversary,” Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh said in December.
On the first day of his second term, Trump promised to release a report on the unexplained drones spotted over the Northeast.
A week later, the White House said the drones were “not a threat” and were approved by the FAA for research.
Some, including Vance, are still searching for answers about unidentified flying objects.
He joked on the podcast that he would spend Congress’ August recess “trying to dive to the bottom of the whole UFO thing from last year.”

NOT a UFO but a 'space jellyfish': Thousands of Australians baffled by glowing space orbs. Turns out, it's from…
Updated: Aug 01, 2025, 17:45 IST
Thousands of Australians were baffled this week after spotting what they thought was an unidentified flying object (UFO) over the skies of Queensland and northern South Wales.
Several netizens posted videos and images of the mysterious shining object. Turnes out, it is from a Chinese rocket.
Social media abuzz with mysterious UFO sighting over Australia
May people shared footage of what they thought were UFOs flying over Australian skies on Thursday (July 30).
Some Austrialians described it as 'glowing orbs' lighting up the night sky, sparking the widespread UFO speculation. Some even described seeing ‘three UFOs or a big star ship’.
The aerial object was visible from Queensland to northern NSW. Austrialian channel 7News cited one witness as saying, “The one my brother witnessed … woke him up because it was so bright.”
Theories of extraterrostrials after bright space object seen over Australia
Some social media users theorised that these could be extraterrestrials, while others thought it was a group of asteroids.
“It’s a UFO. It has to be," said one user, according to 7News, while another said “I think it might be something terrestrial from outer space."
Plumes from satellite-launcher rocket of China was sighted over Australian skies
Prof Jonti Hornerer matched the sightings from his home state with a Long March 8A rocket launch from Hainan, BBC said in a report. These rockets are used to launch satellites for China's state-owned internet network into space.
Dr Brad Tucker, an astrophysicist from the Australian National University, also identified the lights as a "rocket plume" from the Chinese Long March 8A rocket, launched at 5.49pm Australian time on Wednesday.
“This was from a Chinese launch,” he said, confirming that the timing matched sightings over the east coast, 7News reported.
Why was Chinese rocket making glowing shapes on Australian sky?
Dr Tucker explained to 7News that the the glowing shapes were a result of gas release during rocket stage separation.
The resulting bright spots on the sky are often called 'space jellyfish’ as they have strange shape and tentacles, Dr Tucker said.
Though they looked close, the lights were actually “hundreds of kilometres offshore and dozens of kilometres in the atmosphere,” he added.
“It’s kind of like peeling out in a car — the dust plume just hangs in the air behind it,” he said, explaining why the orbs appeared to be staying in one place.
The gas stays where the rocket stage separation happens. After some time, the gas just fades off into the atmosphere, he said.

Keeping Our Eyes on the Ball of 3I/ATLAS
July 31, 2025
So far, the new interstellar object 3I/ATLAS appears as a compact ball of light, somewhat larger than the image of background stars that appear point-like because of their much larger distance.
We must keep our eyes on the ball rather than on the number of “likes” we get on social media for opinions about the nature of this interstellar object.
As 3I/ATLAS gets closer to the Sun, it will be warmed by absorbing sunlight. If it is indeed a comet similar to 2I/Borisov, then its outgassing will result in an extended coma of dust and gas.
Claiming that 3I/ATLAS is definitely a comet with water ice is premature. A recent paper used the infrared spectrum of 3I/ATLAS to suggest spectral features associated with water ice.
However, a careful inspection of the observed noisy spectrum reveals an upturn at the wavelength for which the water model predicts a downturn, and vice versa.
A proper statistical analysis is needed to demonstrate that the water model does better than the spectrum of L-type asteroids.
These asteroids have a hard surface and no coma and the upper envelope of their possible spectra fits the observed data perfectly.
The paper does not provide such an analysis, yet its title announces “Water Ice in the Coma”.
Many commentators who criticize alternative interpretations of 3I/ATLAS did not write a single scientific paper over the past decade.
They claim to protect science, but who are they protecting it from? Scientists like myself are in the trenches of doing science.
Over the past three weeks, I wrote four scientific papers on 3I/ATLAS (accessible here, here, here, and here). By all measures, those who know the answers in advance of conclusive data are anti-science.
Their loud voices on social media disrupt agnostic scientific discourse which must be based on rigorous analysis of data and not be amplified by the megaphone of social media.
Science is work in progress and should be portrayed to the public that way.
The fun of searching for scientific knowledge is that most of the time we have multiple possible interpretations, and they motivate us to do the hard work of collecting more data and analyzing it to identify the correct interpretation.
Uncertainty makes scientific inquiry exciting. The risk of being wrong inspires financial investments, as Polymarket recently opened bets on whether 3I/ATLAS is natural or artificial.
The best practice in blind dates, terrestrial or interstellar, is to observe our date before having an opinion about it. Genuine curiosity inspires the public. This was evident from the following messages that I received over the past few days:
Message 1: “Dear Mr. Musk and Dr. Loeb,
I am an independent observer with no public platform, just a dude, driven by a clear view of the stakes surrounding the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, discovered July 1, 2025.
Your work — Musk’s vision for humanity’s cosmic future and Loeb’s bold hypotheses on extraterrestrial technology — inspires my call for immediate action: launch a rapid probe to intercept 3I/ATLAS before its November 2025 solar approach.
The window is closing, and inaction risks repeating the ‘Oumuamua regret of 2017. You both must admit missing that opportunity still stings the scientific community.
Dr. Loeb’s work suggests that 3I/ATLAS could be artificial, potentially executing a covert maneuver by November. While likely a comet, its lack of a tail and unusual trajectory demands closer scrutiny.
A probe could confirm its nature — natural or alien — before it’s too late. Mr. Musk, your SpaceX launches (2–3 weekly) and mission to secure humanity’s future make you uniquely positioned to act.
A CubeSat with cameras and signal detectors, launched by September or October, could be a historic win.
This is a no-lose mission:
• If Natural: Close-up data on an interstellar object yields unprecedented science, surpassing telescope limits and avoiding ‘Oumuamua’s missed opportunity.
• If Artificial: Early detection of a trajectory-change or of signals gives months to prepare for first contact or, worst case, a threat — critical with November’s deadline looming.
1/2
Why act now? Telescopes, while valuable, can’t match a probe’s detail, and waiting for pre-November data risks leaving no time for action.
A trajectory shift, as Dr. Loeb notes, could confirm intelligence, but by November, it would be too late to respond. SpaceX’s rapid launch capability could deploy a probe in months, privately funded or via NASA, ensuring no regret.
I urge you: Dr. Loeb, publicly advocate for a probe to bolster your hypothesis with hard data. Mr. Musk, lead or gain a following to fund a mission, cementing your legacy as humanity’s cosmic pioneer.
Collaborate to make this happen — NASA, private groups, or both. The cost is minor compared to the stakes: scientific triumph or existential preparedness.
As an outsider, I see what the crowd misses. I don’t have X (forgive me Mr. Musk) and don’t follow the crowd’s “shiny object” of the week. Please act before November 2025 proves me right about the regret of inaction.
Sincerely, […]”
Message 2: “Dear Professor Loeb,
We are co-founders of Nøha (Not Only Human Architecture), a design studio based between Zürich and Beijing. We are architects working across ecology, culture and economy.
We were selected for this year’s Zürich Design Biennale themed Side by Side. Our project is an art installation that imagines how future archaeologists — human or not — might interpret the techno-fossils and digital traces of our present.
The installation reflects on what survives from our hyperconnected present, how it is interpreted, and what might be lost in translation when memory is no longer human.
We came across the Galileo Project when doing research around our upcoming installation and found your work fascinating and very resonant with the topics that we touch upon.
Warm regards,”
Message 3: “Dear Professor Loeb,
I am writing to you from Iran.
I have been deeply inspired by your bold and thoughtful perspectives on interstellar phenomena and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
Your scientific courage and openness to exploring unconventional ideas — especially regarding interstellar objects like 1I/ʻOumuamua and 3I/ATLAS have truly resonated with me.
I want you to know that there are people like me in other parts of the world who admire your work and share your curiosity.
I truly believe in your words and vision. It would be an honor for me to meet you in person one day, if the opportunity ever arises.
Thank you for your valuable contributions to science and for encouraging open-minded exploration. Wishing you continued success and inspiration in your research.
Warm regards, […]”
Message 4: “Dear Avi,
I write because my father passed away two weeks ago. Your contribution to the popularization of science was one of the things that brought us together during his final years. He always wished to have met you in person. Thank you! […]”
Message 5: “Dear Dr. Loeb,
I want to personally share how honored I am […] I’ve been a longtime admirer of your work, especially your leadership on The Galileo Project and your research into interstellar artifacts and the UAP phenomenon.
Your contributions have had a profound impact on both the scientific community and the public’s understanding of these fascinating topics.
With deep gratitude, […]”
The sense of gratitude I felt after receiving these messages is encapsulated in the Talmudic phrase: “The righteous have their work done by others.”

Baba Vanga 2025 Predictions: Earthquakes, Aliens, WW3 and more
August 1, 2025 7:30 am
A surge of fear and intrigue has gripped social media after a powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, unleashing tsunami waves that impacted Japan and parts of the Russian Far East.
What heightened public concern is a decades-old prophecy from Japanese manga artist and self-proclaimed seer Ryo Tatsuki—nicknamed the “New Baba Vanga.”
In her 1999 manga The Future I Saw, Tatsuki eerily predicted that the seas around southern Japan would “boil” on July 5, 2025.
The prediction has gone viral in light of the recent quake, with many of her followers viewing it as further proof of her uncanny foresight, drawing comparisons to the legendary Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga.
As theories about the end times sweep through online forums, attention has turned back to Baba Vanga’s chilling forecasts for 2025, which include everything from global warfare to extraterrestrial contact. But just how accurate have her predictions really been?
Baba Vanga, a blind mystic born Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova in 1911 in what is now North Macedonia, lost her sight at age 12 during a dust storm.
Afterward, she claimed to have gained the ability to foresee future events. Over time, she developed a large following, with even the Bulgarian government allegedly consulting her on sensitive matters.
Though her predictions were never officially documented and often came through secondhand accounts, her reputation for forecasting major global events has persisted for decades, despite skepticism over the accuracy and authenticity of her prophecies.
Events Baba Vanga Is Believed to Have Predicted Correctly:
Several of her alleged predictions have been linked to real-world events, though many remain controversial due to vague wording or retroactive interpretation:
9/11 Attacks: She is said to have predicted, “Two steel birds will fall on the American brethren,” which some interpret as referencing the Twin Towers.
The rise of ISIS: Vanga reportedly foresaw a “great Muslim war” spreading terror across Europe.
Barack Obama’s presidency: She predicted the 44th U.S. president would be African American, although she supposedly warned he would also be the last.
The Kursk submarine disaster: In 1980, she allegedly said “Kursk will be covered with water, and the whole world will weep over it,” a prediction tied to the 2000 tragedy.
While critics claim many of these were vague or misattributed, supporters maintain she had genuine prophetic insight.
Baba Vanga’s Predictions for 2025:
Reports from global outlets have spotlighted several of Vanga’s alleged forecasts for this year. Here are the most widely discussed:
-
Global War
Perhaps her most alarming prophecy is of a large-scale conflict, possibly involving nuclear weapons or widespread destruction.
With ongoing tensions involving NATO, Russia, China, and the Middle East, many conspiracy theorists believe this could point to a Third World War.
Both Baba Vanga and Nostradamus are said to have predicted massive conflict for 2025, increasing anxiety among followers.
-
Natural Disasters and Environmental Crisis
According to Hindustan Times, she predicted significant earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and extreme weather in 2025. In today’s climate, marked by hurricanes, droughts, and wildfires, this seems less speculative.

Biological Experiment Gone Wrong
Another unsettling forecast involves a biological experiment by a powerful country spiraling out of control, potentially leading to widespread death.
Though no such incident has occurred yet in 2025, this prophecy resonates in a world still grappling with the aftermath of COVID-19 and fears over synthetic biology.

Technological Transformation or AI Dominance
Some interpretations of Vanga’s prophecies hint at a dramatic shift in how humans coexist with technology. This could mean an AI revolution or deep reliance on machines.
With recent advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning, 2025 has already seen mounting concerns over job displacement, AI regulation, and ethical use of technology in both the U.S. and Europe.

Extraterrestrial Contact
Among her most extraordinary predictions is that humanity will encounter aliens or uncover signs of intelligent life this year.
She supposedly claimed that humans will “learn something that will change our understanding of life and the universe.”
This prophecy has gained traction after astronomers spotted an enormous object—named 3I/ATLAS—entering our solar system.
First detected on July 1, 2025, from a Chilean telescope, the interstellar visitor is moving at over 130,000 mph and measures between 10–20 km, possibly larger than Manhattan.
Some scientists believe it is simply a comet. However, others speculate it could be alien technology, fueling conspiracy theories that Baba Vanga may have foreseen its arrival.
Media’s Role in Spreading the Prophecies
Baba Vanga’s predictions often resurface in media coverage during crises or disasters. News headlines and viral videos amplify her words—sometimes with little verification—feeding public fascination.
The Times of India, for example, labeled her 2025 prophecy as “terrifying,” which only added to the growing sense of foreboding.
Nostradamus and Baba Vanga: Parallel Visions?
Interestingly, Nostradamus also reportedly foresaw a massive disaster or war in 2025.
His cryptic quatrains, like Vanga’s visions, are subject to broad interpretation, but the shared timeline for catastrophe has intensified online discussions and speculative reporting.
Scientific and Skeptical Views
Many scientists and skeptics argue that Baba Vanga’s predictions are vague, mistranslated, or entirely fabricated.
They suggest that confirmation bias and a human tendency to find patterns in chaos explain why people find her prophecies compelling.
Psychologists note that during times of global uncertainty, such predictions offer a way to make sense of a complex and often frightening world—even if the predictions themselves lack credible evidence.
Whether viewed as myth, mystery, or misguided belief, Baba Vanga’s forecasts continue to captivate imaginations—especially in a year shadowed by real-world crises and cosmic curiosity.

"Came out of Senate fine,” Sen. Rounds says of UAPDA. “House where challenge is”
Aug 01, 2025
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) — Sponsor, UAP Disclosure Act
Ask a Pol asks:
Have you heard of Project Preserve Destiny?
Key Rounds:
“No,” Sen. Mike Rounds asks Ask a Pol. “What’s that?”
It’s supposed to be dealing with NHI — non-human intelligence…
Caught our ear:
Congressman Eric Burlison (R-MO) tells us he’s in talks with your office about adding the UAPDA to the National Defense Authorization Act — or NDAA — again this year?
“I think just try it again the same way we did, and see what happens. I mean, it came out of the Senate fine,” Rounds tells us. “It’s in the House where the challenge is.”
Interesting. Because some people are thinking it’s been former Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who’s been killing it, but it’s been gutted by the House?
“Yeah,” Rounds says. “Yeah.”
Do you think maybe it was fmr. House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner, and now that he’s gone opposition may evaporate?
“I don’t know. I think there were folks who just didn’t want to disclose anything that could be sensitive in nature,” Rounds says. “And I agree with that…”
