Ukrainian Long-Range Drones Hit Multiple Russian Refineries, Factories Overnight

At least three people were killed and two others injured overnight in western Russia due to Ukrainian drone strikes, according to regional governors, with one signifcant attack sparking a fire at an oil refinery in central Russia after it was hit.

Ukraine’s military confirmed it Russia's Ryazan and Novokuibyshevsk oil refineries, triggering large fires. It also said it struck the Annanefteprodukt oil storage site in the Voronezh region, which was likely a long-range drone attack, but few details were disclosed.

In the Penza region, Governor Oleg Melnichenko reported that a woman was killed and two others injured following a drone strike, and in the Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said an elderly man died after drone debris ignited a fire in a residential building.

In Rostov, a security guard at an industrial site was killed when a drone attack caused a fire in one of the buildings, per regional authorites. This was amid Russian trying to intercept the large-scale drone assault which went on for many hours into the morning, downing drones across seven districts.

Additionally, Ukraine’s SBU intelligence agency said its drones hit the Primorsko-Akhtarsk military airfield, known as a launch site for Russian drone attacks on Ukraine. The SBU also claimed responsibility for striking a Penza factory involved in supplying electronics to Russia's military-industrial sector.

In total, Russia's milmitary said it shot down 112 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory, including 34 over the Rostov region. In all, the attack reportedly lasted at least nine hours.

"Last night, SBU drones continued targeting Russian military infrastructure deep in enemy territory. The first target of our long-range UAVs was the military airfield in Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Krasnodar Krai), which stores and launches Shahed drones used to attack Ukraine. A fire broke out in the area following the SBU drone strikes," the SBU said.

"This facility manufactures equipment for digital networks in military command systems, devices for aviation, armored vehicles, naval vessels, and space systems. SBU drones successfully struck the site, and smoke was observed following the explosions," the agency said.

NY Woman Pleads Guilty In $30 Million Green Card, Political Access Scheme

A New York resident accused of running a $30 million green card scam and selling access to U.S. politicians pleaded guilty July 30.

Sherry Xue Li, 53, a China-born, naturalized U.S. citizen and resident of Oyster Bay, admitted to defrauding more than 150 people who invested more than $31.5 million in her fake development project, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn said.

The investors, many of whom were Chinese nationals, were promised either green cards through the EB-5 investment visa program or investment returns. None of the investors in Li’s project, the Thompson Education Center (TEC), received a temporary or permanent green card.

Li also made donations to U.S. politicians and political committees, using money from foreign victims while pretending the donations came from herself or other U.S. citizens, and she sold foreign nationals—mostly Chinese—access to events where they could take photos with elected officials, including President Donald Trump.

“In doing so, she attempted to corrupt a fundamental institution in this country—fair and transparent elections free from unlawful foreign influence,” U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella said in a statement.

Li pleaded guilty at the federal courthouse in Central Islip to conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Li’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Dec. 5, and she faces up to 20 years in prison, prosecutors said. She has also agreed to forfeit $31.5 million and property at three locations.

One of Li’s accomplices, Long Island resident Lianbo “Mike” Wang, 48, pleaded guilty last year and was sentenced to 60 months in prison. Wang, also a naturalized U.S. citizen, was the marketing director and general manager of TEC.

Another defendant, Guo Xuefeng, director of TEC’s Beijing office, was a citizen and resident of China, according to the indictment. Guo was accused of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Li first proposed in around 2011 to build a China City of America in the town of Thompson.

She touted the amusement park as a “Chinese Disneyland” that could create 3,000 jobs and attract 1.5 million visitors each year.

Last night’s debate was a feisty one to say the least… born out of a Twitter beef between comedian Dave Smith and writer Alex Berenson, Rav Arora (of the Illusion of Consensus podcast) arranged and hosted it.

Berenson kicked off by playing a 10-year old clip in which Smith makes a joke about the Holocaust as evidence of Dave’s Holocaust denial:

Smith rejected this as dishonest and evasive: “We could talk about issues that I believe in or issues that you believe in… but you want to do this bitch smear job shit.”

In a mocking tone: “Ooh, you spoke to Richard Spencer in 2017 and made a joke with him. Like really scumbag?”

Flipping the guilt-by-association accusation back at Berenson: “You worked at the New York Times while they were selling the war in Iraq. Who was your favorite person to have lunch with… Judith Miller or was it Michael Gordon? Which one of the mouthpieces for war criminals did you enjoy working with the most as they got a million people killed in Iraq?”

Smith ended the introduction with the line of the night: “Put your thumb in your mouth, blow really hard, and try to turn your vagina into a pair of balls”

And it sent downhill from there…

"Everyone Should Leave The EU" - AfD Head Weidel Blasts "Openly Corrupt" Brussels

Alice Weidel, co-leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, says Germany is digging its own grave. Her words came during an interview Weidel gave to Hungary’s Patriot Extra program, covered by Mandiner.

According to the nationalist politician, the European Union has “completely degenerated,” does not represent nation states or sovereign peoples, and has now become a machine run by overpaid bureaucrats that only causes harm.

Weidel says Germany’s economic decline is rooted in domestic decisions. High energy prices, the green transition, and the phase-out of nuclear power have made German industry uncompetitive, especially the automotive industry, which she says is being deliberately destroyed by Brussels regulations.

“All the bad rules were made in Brussels,” she said, emphasizing that the ban on internal combustion engines and environmental sanctions benefit China and American companies, not European workers. According to Weidel, Germany and Europe need a free market where everyone can produce and buy what they want.

Weidel also said the German government was playing politics against the population, lying to people, and doing the opposite of what it promised.

On Angela Merkel, the AfD leader said that she was “the first Green Chancellor, not the conservative leader of the CDU.” She also called current Chancellor Friedrich Merz a representative of the “losing side.”

Weidel contrasted Germany with Hungary, praising Viktor Orbán for his “common sense” and as a role model for national sovereignists. “I can only congratulate Viktor Orbán, Hungary is doing much better,” she said.

“Hungary is the only one that clearly stands out and says: this cannot be done with us,” she said. According to Weidel, in Germany, on the other hand, there is an unstable government that is deliberately worsening the financial situation of the population in order to make people vulnerable.

Weidel further stated that she believes Hungarians live relatively better than Germans, compared to the country’s economic performance.

According to Weidel, “Everyone should leave the EU.”

Putin Criminalizes Online Searches for ‘Extremist’ Content

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday signed a law that criminalizes searches for “extremist” content on the internet, with fines of up to 5,000 rubles ($64) for each violation.

The Moscow Times noted that even some of Russia’s more enthusiastic censors are uneasy about the new law because they might get busted for seeking out extreme content so they can censor it:

Yekaterina Mizulina, head of the Kremlin-aligned Safe Internet League and a prominent advocate of online censorship, voiced unease over the bill earlier this month. She warned that it could obstruct the League’s work, roughly 30% of which involves identifying extremist content and forwarding it to authorities.

Mizulina claimed that the legislation could even put police officers at legal risk for viewing content as part of their duties.

In a similar vein, the head of Russian state propaganda network RT, Margarita Simonyan, lamented that her apparatchiks would be hindered in their quest to “investigate and bring to shame” critics of the Kremlin and the Ukraine war if they were “forbidden to even read them.”

The vote in the Russian parliament to pass the bill was more divided than usual, with opposition from factions that usually give Putin what he wants, including the Communist Party. An aide to a liberal Russian politician who protested the bill by comparing it to the Big Brother dystopia of George Orwell’s 1984 was immediately arrested.

Internet freedom advocates, meanwhile, raised the objection that “extremism” can be difficult to define and Putin is likely to stretch the term to include all criticism of his government.

Human Rights Watch pointed out that Putin has previously designated anti-corruption groups, LGBT organizations, independent media outlets, human rights groups, and political opponents as “extremists.” It is a safe bet that Russian courts will find most criticism of the Ukraine war to be “extremist” in character.

The new law empowers Putin’s enforcers to go after people who search for “extreme” content, not just those who create it. The chilling effect on dissent will be formidable in a nation where dissent was already half-frozen to death.

Putin’s digital minister, Maksut Shadayev, was predictably evasive when asked how the regime would define “extremist” content, or tell the difference between users who intentionally seek it out compared to those who stumble across it by accident. Shadayev said it would be up to prosecutors to demonstrate “intent.”

Israel First Billionaires Dump Millions Into Super PAC to Oust Rep. Thomas Massie

Israel First Zionist billionaires Paul Singer, Miriam Adelson and John Paulson have dumped $2 million into ousting America First Kentucky Rep Thomas Massie from Congress, newly released FEC disclosures reveal.

"What a shock. The huge amounts of money being poured into the Super PAC to remove @RepThomasMassie from Congress are all coming from the big GOP donors for whom Israel is a top cause: Miriam Adelson, John Paulson, Paul Singer," Glenn Greenwald noted on Thursday, citing reporting from Punchbowl's Jake Sherman.

"The group attacking me, MAGA Kentucky, is funded entirely by three billionaires," Rep. Massie commented on Friday. "One gave millions to trans activism & Soros-backed open borders group & even funded the Russia hoax. Another is in Epstein’s black book and did a fundraiser for Sen Schumer."

"We're called as a nation to support Israel … because they're God's people," Reed said in a bizarre scripted interview with a local radio host after his name was floated to take on Massie. "If we want to be a nation blessed by God then we must never turn our back on Israel."

There is no room for "America First" in Trump, Singer and Adelson's Israel First Republican Party.

Why isn't this guy in jail for Treason?

Zuckerberg: People without AI glasses will face a “significant cognitive disadvantage.” Smart glasses sales are already tripling.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told investors during the company’s Q2 2025 earnings call that smart glasses will be the main way people use AI. That makes those without AI glasses face a “significant cognitive disadvantage.”

https://www.businessinsider.com/zuckerberg-meta-ai-glasses-cognitive-disadvantage-q2-2025-7

He added, “I continue to think that glasses are basically going to be the ideal form factor for AI, because you can let an AI see what you see… hear what you hear… [and] talk to you.”

https://techcrunch.com/2025/07/30/zuckerberg-says-people-without-ai-glasses-will-be-at-a-disadvantage-in-the-future/

Meta has seen smart glasses sales more than triple year-over-year. Reality Labs revenue grew nearly 5%, largely driven by Ray‑Ban and Oakley glasses. That suggests the product may have early commercial traction despite past skepticism.

https://www.businessinsider.com/zuckerberg-meta-ai-glasses-cognitive-disadvantage-q2-2025-7

Many people find constant wear of glasses intrusive. Eyewear that records or listens raises privacy concerns. Some users already report AI glasses feel creepy when they process sight or speech constantly. That tension may limit adoption beyond early tech users.

Zuckerberg’s vision ties deeply into his personal superintelligence concept—but widespread social acceptance remains a major unknown.

Charlie Kirk: Is Great Britain just a gigantic Epstein Island?

Incredibly disturbing new details out of the UK reveal that not only were countless little girls raped by migrant grooming gangs, but when they went for help, many were raped again by the police. Take one guess who was staffing the police departments.

So in the UK:

-Authorities ignored migrant grooming and rape gangs because prosecuting them might lead to accusations of racism

-Victims of Pakistani rape gangs who went to the police were instead raped again by the police themselves (who were of Pakistani origin).

-In other cases, police leaked the accusations of victims to perpetrators, who then threatened the victims.

-Judges in Islamic rape cases have allowed defense lawyers to spend entire trials calling grooming gang victims sluts, then denied the release of court transcripts to hide that this happened.

-The government is currently weighing a formal definition of “Islamophobia” that would include linking grooming gangs to Islamic immigration.

-Local governments are hiring “Sharia law administrators”

-Mass censorship is used to cover up protests against this as well as criminally punish those who complain

Elon Musk’s Tesla ordered to pay $243M in deadly Autopilot crash case: ‘This will open the floodgates’

A Miami jury decided that Elon Musk’s car company Tesla was partly responsible for a deadly crash in Florida involving its Autopilot driver assist technology and must pay the victims more than $200 million in damages.

The federal jury held that Tesla bore significant responsibility because its technology failed and that not all the blame can be put on a reckless driver, even one who admitted he was distracted by his cell phone before hitting a young couple out gazing at the stars. The decision comes as Musk seeks to convince Americans his cars are safe enough to drive on their own as he plans to roll out a driverless taxi service in several cities in the coming months.

The decision ends a four-year long case remarkable not just in its outcome but that it even made it to trial. Many similar cases against Tesla have been dismissed and, when that didn’t happen, settled by the company to avoid the spotlight of a trial.

“This will open the floodgates,” said Miguel Custodio, a car crash lawyer not involved in the Tesla case. “It will embolden a lot of people to come to court.”

The case also included startling charges by lawyers for the family of the deceased, 22-year-old, Naibel Benavides Leon, and for her injured boyfriend, Dillon Angulo. They claimed Tesla either hid or lost key evidence, including data and video recorded seconds before the accident.

Battle stations: The former PM, ministers, and military brass cashing in on Australia’s defence spending bonanza

With billions of dollars in AUKUS spending looming, the rush to join defence industry contractors and advisory firms has never been greater.

Early last year, United States technology company Anduril, co-founded by colourful American entrepreneur and Trump enthusiast Palmer Luckey, unveiled a coup in the highly competitive world of defence industry.

The company announced it had hired the Royal Australian Navy’s former head of naval capability, rear admiral Peter Quinn, to join its Australia and Asia Pacific team as vice-president of strategy, to “accelerate” its regional business.

It was a timely catch for Anduril. For five years, Quinn had occupied a high-level navy post in which his job was to identify the navy’s future capability needs. He still held the post in May 2022, when the Defence Department handed Anduril a $77 million limited tender contract to develop a new capability for the fleet: the Ghost Shark. This was a daring design for an autonomous under-sea vehicle (AUV) – an uncrewed robot submarine – still then in prototype.

Quinn, who had been one of the signatories on the original Ghost Shark agreement, left the navy at the end of 2022. He took a year’s break – the minimum “cooling off” period mandated by the navy – then joined Anduril in January 2024. In all, 13 months had elapsed between him leaving the navy and joining the ambitious American company.

This raised some eyebrows, but there was even more widespread grumbling about the fact such a large project had not gone to open tender.

“That didn’t pass the pub test,” complained one industry source, who said he took calls from annoyed potential competitors.

Total combined investment in the project has climbed to more than $160 million, with three prototype Ghost Sharks delivered to the RAN and costs shared between the company and Defence through a fast-track process the government has dubbed the “advanced strategic capabilities accelerator”.

Quinn’s hiring is far from unique. It fits within a decades-long tradition of senior ADF personnel, ministers and political staffers taking up posts with large defence companies or defence-related advisory and lobbying services after leaving public life or active service. As Australia’s total defence spending climbs beyond $59 billion a year, and the AUKUS trilateral security pact looms large on the horizon, the phenomenon is set to intensify as firms jostle for an inside track.

Former FBI Director Chris Wray Criminally Referred to DOJ Over Claims He Lied to Congress

A Washington-based government transparency watchdog has referred former FBI Director Christopher Wray to the Department of Justice and the FBI, urging a criminal investigation into allegations that he had made false statements to Congress and obstructed proceedings in two high-profile cases.

Oversight Project President Mike Howell told Fox News Digital that the group is specifically asking officials to examine Wray’s congressional testimony on the so-called Richmond memo from the FBI office in Virginia that exposed an anti-Catholic bias there, and his testimony about a Chinese plot to disseminate illicit driver’s licenses before the 2020 election.

In July 2023, Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the FBI-Richmond memo that had labeled Catholics as potential domestic threats.

“Well, what I can tell you is you’re referring to the Richmond product, which is a single product by a single field office, which as soon as I found out about it, I was aghast and ordered it withdrawn and removed from FBI systems,” Wray said.

The Oversight Project alleges that statement was ultimately misleading or false.

Witkoff to visit Moscow on Sunday – US ambassador

Washington is hoping to “lead” Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table, Matthew Whitaker has said

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will visit Moscow on Sunday to try for a breakthrough in negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.

Trump has also announced that Witkoff will travel to Russia, although he gave no specific timeline. The special envoy has previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on several occasions during past diplomatic efforts.

“I’m hoping he can have a breakthrough,” Whitaker said in an interview with US channel WHO 13 News, referring to Witkoff's upcoming visit.

Whitaker also said that the US plans to sell arms to NATO allies “that are then going to be provided to Ukraine” in order to promote Moscow-Kiev peace talks. “I’m hoping that by the United States leaning in, selling our weapons to our NATO allies, that that will lead the Russians back to the negotiating table and actually get to a ceasefire here,” he explained.

Earlier this week, Trump dramatically shortened his original 50-day window for Russia and Ukraine to reach a peace settlement to just ten days, warning that failure to do so would trigger sweeping penalties, potentially including 100% tariffs and secondary sanctions targeting Russia’s trade partners.

The acting US envoy to the UN, John Kelley, confirmed that Trump expects a ceasefire by August 8, as the president has increasingly expressed frustration with Moscow’s position in recent weeks.

Putin has previously stressed that Moscow is ready for negotiations and has never rejected talks in principle. “Negotiations are always required and important, especially when they lead to peace,” the Russian leader said earlier this week. He added that successful prisoner swaps and repatriation of soldiers’ remains had made previous rounds of talks worthwhile.

Moscow perceives the Ukraine conflict as a Western proxy war against Russia, which the US and its allies allegedly decided to wage “to the last Ukrainian.” Russia says hostilities would end if Kiev accepted Ukrainian neutrality and reversed policies that Moscow believes discriminate against ethnic Russians.

KOSA law fines platforms over Israel speech. Mass surveillance rising. Crackdown begins.

The Kids Online Safety Act closely follows the Anti-Defamation League’s bill targeting anti-Semitism, which often means anti-Zionism in practice. Critics say Western governments, after backing Israel’s actions in Gaza, now push this law to silence dissent online. The timing looks suspicious.

The law claims to protect children but mainly punishes social media companies with heavy fines. Platforms respond by enforcing AI-driven age checks and censorship.

“The law, which regulates online speech, allows the British government to levy massive fines on companies like Apple, Truth Social, and X if it finds that rules on hate speech have been broken.”

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/white-house-warns-starmer-stop-182622486.html

Similar penalties appear in the US bill targeting speech labeled “anti-Semitic” or “anti-Zionist.” The aim seems less about children and more about controlling narratives on Israel and controversial topics.

Palantir’s contracts with the FBI to build large data systems raise serious privacy concerns. “Palantir is building a vast database on Americans for the FBI,” reported The New York Times.
