Here is my argument why human sacrifice never ended but it subtly creeped into our regular lives.

Why do I have to explain this?
Example 1: Guy kills his best friend for molesting his daughter or fucking his wife. That's not insane behavior, you can actually empathize with that. So he'd go to prison for 0-10 years depending on the judge you get.
Example 2: The Chinese guy who beheaded that guy sitting next to him on a Greyhound bus and then gouged out his eyeballs and ate them. This guy should be in a mental institution for life because he had no motive. Btw they released this guy, changed his name, and put him back in the community.
The difference is motive.
Well the person probably has a rap sheet in the first place and not just by assumption or perspective.
Well, there are multiple factors besides motive:
1) Motive
2) How gruesome the crime was
3) Their past history
Because 1 person got wrongfully diagnosed or imprisoned doesn't mean you should have no system at all. Mistakes are gunna happen, and usually the person or family gets compensated in the West anyways if it does.
