As a resident of California I often have to roll my eyes at those from other states that refer to "Commifornia" or ask questions along the lines of "how can California voters keep electing these people?" Here is my reply:

1) If you accept that the 2020 election was stolen what makes you think that California elections are any better? Where do you think the process of stealing elections was perfected?

2) Most people from out of state, more so the further from California you get, judge California by the LA metroplex->SF/Sacramento corridor. Geographically this is a thin sliver of California, comprised mostly of a strip along the southern coast line. Imagine judging all of Texas by what happens on a strip 30-50 miles wide on the south half of the states gulf coast (not slamming that part of Texas, I know nothing about the relative politics, I am using it solely as a geographic comparison). However, that is where the population centers are so that is what the MSM reports on. Outside that strip California is mostly rural and fairly conservative. The northern half of the state has ''no' major cities (but that is where the water is so guess what happens?).

3) Starting in the 1960's the state has absorbed the bulk of the lefty loons from the rest of the country. Most of whom settled along the coast and in the cities (some also went to Oregon and Washington, and you see a similar political distribution there). Those outside the state don't have to deal with all those loons and consider how much trouble the ones that remained caused over the last 4 presidential terms. In California we have been dealing with a much larger concentration of them for over 50 years. Look at where the major centers of academia are located and you will see they are in that same sliver of coast line on the southern half of the state.

4)Having said all of the above, yes California has a problem with left dominated politics. It is not however that everyone in California is a communist. Many of us live here because we were born and grew up here. It is our home. We despise the pols in Sacramento. We also despise the cities and stay as far from them as we can get. Unfortunately that is where the laws are made. It is a law of human nature that those that make the rules will make them to benefit themselves. By the time we understood what was happening it was too late, the socialists had taken over. Even so we have done what we could. We elected Reagan and Wilson. We ejected Davis. We tried with Arnold but he folded like wet tissue paper. Newsom is just the latest in a long line of modern governors that were elected by the cities.

5)You may have heard over the years of various attempts to break California into 2 or 3 states. #3 is the reason.

I know it wont happen but I do wish that people from out of state would start referring to the communists in SF and LA and stop lumping the rest of us in with them.
