=•Witkoff to visit Moscow on Sunday – US ambassador==

Washington is hoping to “lead” Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table, Matthew Whitaker has said

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will visit Moscow on Sundayto try for a breakthrough in negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.

Trump has also announced that Witkoff will travel to Russia, althoughhe gave no specific timeline. The special envoy has previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on several occasions during past diplomatic efforts.

“I’m hoping he can have a breakthrough,”Whitaker said in an interview with US channel WHO 13 News, referring to Witkoff's upcoming visit.

Whitaker also said that the US plans to sell arms to NATO allies “that are then going to be provided to Ukraine” in order to promote Moscow-Kiev peace talks. “I’m hoping that by the United States leaning in, selling our weapons to our NATO allies, that that will lead the Russians back to the negotiating table and actually get to a ceasefire here,” he explained.

Earlier this week, Trump dramatically shortened his original 50-day window for Russia and Ukraine to reach a peace settlement to just ten days, warning that failure to do so would trigger sweeping penalties, potentially including 100% tariffs and secondary sanctions targeting Russia’s trade partners.

The acting US envoy to the UN, John Kelley, confirmed that Trump expects a ceasefire by August 8,as the president has increasingly expressed frustration with Moscow’s position in recent weeks.

Putin has previously stressed that Moscow is ready for negotiations and has never rejected talks in principle. “Negotiations are always required and important, especially when they lead to peace,” the Russian leader said earlier this week. He added that successful prisoner swaps and repatriation of soldiers’ remains had made previous rounds of talks worthwhile.

Moscow perceives the Ukraine conflict as a Western proxy war against Russia, which the US and its allies allegedly decided to wage “to the last Ukrainian.”Russia says hostilities would end if Kiev accepted Ukrainian neutrality and reversed policies that Moscow believes discriminate against ethnic Russians.

(The acting out of the play on the stage, is important. It’s obvious the U.S. knows who’s holding this up. It’s obvious to those who watch it.)

US vice president ‘obsessed’ with UFOs

J.D. Vance has pledged to “get to the bottom of the whole UFO thing” that plagued the US late last year

US Vice President J.D. Vance has revealed he has been “obsessed” with UFOs and seeks to thoroughly investigate the phenomenon in the nearest future.

Vance made the admission during an episode of the Ruthless Podcast aired on Friday, proclaiming his fascination with the mysterious flying objects.

“Like, I’m obsessed with the whole UFO thing. ‘What’s actually going on?’ ‘What were those videos all about?’ What’s actually happening?’”he said. “I haven’t gotten to the bottom of it yet, but we’re only six months in; we’ve been very busy.”

The VP pledged to spend the congressional recess in August “in part”to try and study the matter and “dive to the bottom of the whole UFO thing from last year.” While Vance did not elaborate, he apparently referred to identified drone sightings in New Jersey late last year. Some of the flying objects were reportedly as large as a sedan.

The reported sightings appeared to have been concentrated around the Picatinny Arsenal research center and other military installations across the state. The reports of mysterious drones, which came in thousands in November and December last year, prompted the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the FBI to investigate the sightings.

In mid-December, however, an FBI official revealed that, albeit the agency received over 5,000 tips on drone sightings, “less than 100 leads have been generated and deemed worthy of further investigative activity.”

The Trump administration released an update on the matter in late January, stating that the vast majority of the drone flights reported from New Jersey were lawful. “After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized by the FAA for research and various other reasons,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at the time, adding that the drone craze attracted hobbyists who flew their own devices without proper authorization.

FBI’s UFO hunters fear Trump layoffs – Politico

The president has required all agents to fill out a questionnaire disclosing what role they played in the January 6 probes

FBI agents investigating UFOs are concerned about losing their jobs after being required to disclose any role they may have had in the Capitol riot cases, Politico has claimed, citing anonymous sources. Agents from a secret group that investigates unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) reportedly participated in the January 6 probes.

On January 6, 2021, thousands of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol in a bid to halt certification of the 2020 election, which saw Democrat Joe Biden emerge victorious. The subsequent clashes between protesters and the police left five people dead, and dozens more injured, including 140 police officers.

In the aftermath of the incident, more than 1,500 participants ended up being charged with federal crimes. After assuming office last month, Trump commuted the sentences of 14 people connected with the riots and pardoned the rest.

In its article on Monday, Politico reported that FBI employees nationwide, including those in the UAP working group, have been told to complete a questionnaire detailing their involvement in cases related to the January 6 riots.

“I have spoken to several agents from the UAP working group who are afraid of losing their role and the investigation getting unintentionally compromised,”Ryan Graves, executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, told the media outlet. Graves said his group had partnered with the FBI unit in question.

The working group’s existence had not been publicized before, according to Politico. According to the outlet’s sources, it comprises a national program manager and more than a dozen agents nationwide. These agents are supposedly tasked with gathering intelligence, interviewing witnesses, and integrating classified data related to UAP activity into reports.

Over the weekend, Reuters and AP, citing unnamed sources, claimed that Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove had issued a memo announcing that assessments potentially leading to “personnel actions” within the federal agency were necessary.

Approximately 4,000 FBI employees were required to fill out the questionnaire focusing on their roles in the January 6 probes, according to Reuters and AP.

Graves told Politico that “these leaders might not be aware of the incredible work these agents are doing,” referring to the UAP working group. He expressed concern that the group’s investigations would be nixed as a result of a potential purge.

Trump has repeatedly accused the FBI of being biased against him and “politicized.” He has never conceded defeat in the 2020 election, insisting that the vote was rigged.

THE NAKED GUN FIRST REVIEWS: "THE FUNNIEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR"

CRITICS SAY THIS REBOOT OF THE CLASSIC COMEDY SERIES IS JAM-PACKED WITH HILARIOUS JOKES AND SERVES AS A PITCH-PERFECT REVIVAL OF THE SPOOF GENRE.

Christopher Campbell | July 30, 2025 |

Big laughs are back on the big screen, according to the first reviews of The Naked Gun. The legacy sequel resurrects the comedy franchise initially spun off from the short-lived TV series Police Squad!, and it honors the original creative team of David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker. Not only are critics saying it’s the funniest movie of the year, but also that it’s the first great spoof film in decades. Some reviews nitpick the plot and pace, particularly in the third act, but most recommend seeing this theatrically necessary comedy with a crowd.

Here’s what critics are saying about The Naked Gun:

• SHOULD COMEDY FANS BE EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE?

One of the funniest movies in recent history… It is just what I have been missing with comedies.

— Rachel Leishman, The Mary Sue

• One of the most audacious comedies in years; one that evoked the biggest laughs of any press screening I’ve ever attended.

— David Gonzalez, The Cinematic Reel

• It’s the funniest godd–n thing in years.— Siddhant Adlakha, Inverse

• It’s very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very funny.

— William Bibbiani, TheWrap

• The flick achieves what few comedies these days even attempt.

— Joey Magidson, Awards Radar

• There’s enough inspired nonsense here to keep comedy-starved theatrical audiences engaged.

— David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter

Other 2025 films have jokes; this one is jokes, and most of those jokes are really, really, really f—ing funny.

— David Ehrlich, IndieWire…

INTERSTATE 90 is bracing for an explosive week as more than 700,000 bikers roar into town for the 85th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

This year’s milestone event is expected to break attendance records and bring the thunder to South Dakota’s Black Hills.

The rally officially runs from Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 10, but the action kicks off even earlier with pre-parties starting July 28.

Sturgis, a small town in Meade County, transforms into the fourth largest city in South Dakota during the rally.

What began in 1938 with just nine stunt ridersand a few horses has become the biggest motorcycle rally in the world.

Attendance has climbed steadily over the decades, from 3,000 in 1940 to a record 747,032 in 2015.

In the past five years, the rally has averaged around 500,000 people annually.

Last year’s turnout dropped 8.1% from 2022, totaling 458,161 attendees, according to Harley-Davidson.

This year’s 85th anniversary could match or surpass the 75th rally’s record.

The city of Sturgis rakes in major profits during the rally, with $784 million generated in 2022 alone, according to officials.

The event also pumped $1.4 million in sales tax revenue into South Dakota’s coffers in 2024, despite a slight decline from 2023.

Opening ceremonies kick off August 1 with a flag procession, a blessing of the bikes by Mayor Kevin Forrester, and a parade featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Harley-Davidson dealership shuts for good after sudden sale to rival – but fans of the iconic brand can still get a bike

Centenarian rider Gloria Tramontin Struck will serve as grand marshal, leading the celebration after nearly 85 years on the road.

The speed limit near rally hotspots like Buffalo Chip and Full Throttle is just 35 mph, and traffic slows it down even more - low-speed handling is key.

Many riders also take the opportunity to explore Black Hills landmarks like Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial.

The rally brings together bikers from all over the world to celebrate freedom, horsepower, and the open road.

🚨NEW: CNN's Michael Smerconish calls on Dems to "AGREE WITH TRUMP" sometimes and admit it when he racks up "wins" for US🇺🇸

"It might sound counterintuitive, but maybe what's in the party's best interest is to — dare I say — agree with Trump from time to time."

"Acknowledge wins on issues like NATO, trade and the border."

He fails to realize “the party” believes their own propaganda, the leaders that do believe Trump is doing good, will be voted out of office asap.

They used the radicals too much, and now they have control.
