Actually most of those prolonged wars were about human trafficking not winning wars. We have the tech to end any war within a few months regardless of the size or firepower the other country has, including Russia and China. America could actually fight both of them and another major power and still win. They have been practicing those scenario with close to one trillion dollars for the last 40 years or so. We are ending trafficking forever.
