Alex Marlow, editor-in-chief of Breitbart News and two-time New York Times bestselling author of the “must-read” (Peter Schweizer, #1 New York Times bestselling author) Breaking the News and Breaking Biden, returns with his third book: an intensely-researched examination into the legal cases against President Trump that threaten not only the conservative movement, but the concept of “law and order” itself.

Just as the political left uses the corporate media, academia, and the culture to advance their political agendas, they have found a new core American institution that they now exploit to expand their power: the legal system. Featuring Alex Marlow’s “prescient” (Tucker Carlson) insight, Breaking the Law effortlessly demonstrates how the American legal system has been weaponized against President Donald Trump on purely political grounds.

Marlow delves into the history and origins of “lawfare,” debunks the notion that the “rule of law” was ever sacred to the American political left, and describes the superstructure—the donors, activists, and entities—that have made the legal system one of the left’s most potent political weapons.

Finally, he makes bold predictions on where lawfare is heading (yes, they really are coming for you)and offers ways to fight its expanse…before it’s too late.

Dialogue with US will prevail – Putin aide

Kirill Dmitriev’s comments came after the Russian president held a face-to-face meeting with Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s economic envoyhas said he is confident Moscow and Washington can find common ground through diplomacy. His remarks followed a visit to the Kremlin by US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, which focused on the Ukraine conflict.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Dmitriev, who is CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF),thanked his followers in English for “kind wishes for a successful visit of Steve Witkoff to Moscow,” adding that “Dialogue will prevail.”

Dmitriev was among the Russian officials to welcome Witkoff at Vnukovo Airport, and the two were later seen walking through Zaryadye Park near the Kremlin.Later in the day, Witkoff held face-to-face talks with Putin, which lasted around three hours.

Footage obtained by RT showed the US envoy’s motorcade leaving the Kremlin following the meeting.

Commenting on the talks, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov noted that the sides had had a constructive and productive conversationwhich focused on the Ukraine conflict and “prospects for US-Russia strategic cooperation.”

The talks come as Trump has threatened to impose new sanctions on Russia unless it makes progress toward a peace agreement in Ukraine. The proposed measures include 100% tariffs and secondary sanctions aimed at nations trading with Russia, particularly in the oil sector.

Moscow, however, has said it has developed a degree of resistance to Western sanctions, stressing that demands for sovereign states to halt economic ties with Moscow have no legal basis.

Zelensky rejects any limited ceasefire with Russia

Bloomberg has claimed that Moscow is planning to propose an air truce during Steve Witkoff’s visit to the capital this week

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has rejected any limited ceasefire with Russia, insisting that Kiev will only agree to a complete halt in hostilities. His statement came in the wake of reports from Bloomberg that Moscow planned to propose a pause in air operations.

Moscow and Kiev have agreed to several partial ceasefires since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. Both sides have also accused each other of violating the agreements.

Following a US-mediated 30-day agreement to pause strikes on energy infrastructure earlier this year,Moscow reported that Kiev’s forces had violated the truce over 100 times.

Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing anonymous sources, that the Kremlin is considering offering an “air truce” during the visit of US special envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow this week. The arrangement would reportedly involve halting missile and drone strikes but would not end ground operations. The proposal is expected to come amid US President Donald Trump’s threats to impose secondary tariffs on Russia and its trading partners unless a peace deal is reached soon.

Moscow has not confirmed plans to propose any sort of limited truce.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Zelensky wrote that Kiev supports only an “immediate, complete and unconditional” ceasefire. “We’ve already tried many different formats,” he said, referring to proposals for “silence in the skies” and halts to energy‑sector attacks. He alleged that all such agreements were breached and urged further sanctions on Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow favors a peaceful resolution and a “long‑term, lasting peace” rather than a temporary truce. He has stressed that any settlement must address the “realities on the ground” and the root causes of the conflict.

Russia has repeatedly called on Ukraine to recognize the loss of five of its former regions that joined Russia in public referendums, withdraw its forces from those territories, commit to neutrality, and limit its military capabilities.

Moscow has also said a ceasefire could be possible if Ukraine halts troop movements, suspends mobilization, stops foreign arms shipments, and holds a presidential election.Kiev has rejected the terms as unacceptable.

Ukraine to launch military training for teens as young as 14 – official

The Defense Ministry is pushing for early paramilitary education amid struggles to maintain recruitment levels

Ukraine is set to introduce a national program of military instruction targeting teenagers as young as 14, a senior Defense Ministry official revealed on Monday, amid struggles to maintain recruitment levels.

Ukraine’s armed forces rely on mass compulsory conscription, but the campaign has faced growing public resistance and complaints about its abusive execution. The authorities, meanwhile, are pushing for early-stage education to instill what they describe as a nationwide culture of resistance.

Igor Khort, the acting head of the Defense Ministry department overseeing Ukraine’s national resistance policy, outlined the plan at a forum in Kiev.He said students will begin instruction through a required curriculum titled ‘Defense of Ukraine’, and take part in organized paramilitary games.

University students will be expected to complete more in-depth coursework to prepare them mentally for eventual conscription.

”This is not about developing combat skills. It’s about instilling motivation,”Khort stated. “The course Basics of National Resistance will be mandatory for both boys and girls. If someone doesn’t want to participate, they can leave the college.”

Khort noted that basic training will be required for all Ukrainians under 61, with programs made broadly accessible.

Paramilitary education for Ukrainian youth has existed in various forms since the 2014Western-backed coup in Kiev, withfar-right organizations often taking the lead in shaping ideological and tactical instruction for children.

In April, German journalists publishedfootage of what the report described as a covert “military-style boot camp” for Ukrainian teens, one of several of its kind. One teen participant was seen wearing insignia in the style of Nazi Germany, a recurring theme among Ukraine’s ultranationalist factions and some military units.
