Homeland Security Department reassigns FEMA employees to help with mass deportation efforts

The Department of Homeland Security has moved multiple Federal Emergency Management Agency workers to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to help with the Trump administration's mass deportations initiative.

The FEMA workers will be helping vet and process the applications of those applying to be ICE agents.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said these reassignments will not hinder FEMA's core mission of providing disaster relief to states that need it.

“To support this effort, select FEMA employees will temporarily be detailed to ICE for 90 days to assist with hiring and vetting,” McLaughlin confirmed in a statement to The Washington Post. “Their deployment will NOT disrupt FEMA’s critical operations. FEMA remains fully prepared for Hurricane Season. Patriotic Americans are encouraged to apply at join.ice.gov.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said during a Fox News interview Wednesday that there have been over 80,000 applicants to become ICE agents.

So far, DHS has transferred over 150 people to ICE. Over 100 people have been transferred from FEMA's human resources department and about 50 from the security team.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio Discusses Potential for President Trump and President Putin Meeting

Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears for an interview with Larry Kudlow to discuss the recent reporting around a potential meeting between President Trump and President Putin.

As Rubio notes, following the recent Moscow visit by Steve Witkoff, there is now great clarity on the terms and conditions for Russia to enter a ceasefire period. President Trump has reportedly told EU officials he will likely pick-up the ceasefire negotiations soon via a face-to-face meeting with Putin. WATCH:

At the White House event with Apple CEO Tim Cook, President Trump said that “there’s a really good prospect that” there will be a meeting with Zelenskyy and Putin. But he disagreed with the suggestion it amounted to a “breakthrough.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio notes in the interview here, “an opportunity will present itself very soon for the president to meet both with Vladimir Putin and with President Zelenskyy at some point here, hopefully in the near future.”Rubio added “a lot has to happen before that can occur.”

Administration Officials Meeting to Discuss Public Release of Recording and Transcriptof Deputy AG Todd Blanche Interview with Ghislaine Maxwell

According to sourced media reporting, Vice-President Vance, Chief of Staff Wiles, FBI Director Patel, AG Pam Bondi and DAG Blanche are meeting today to discuss releasing the audio and transcript of Blanche’s two-day interview with Ghislaine Maxwell.

WASHINGTON DC – Top Trump administration officials will gather at the vice president’s residence Wednesday evening as they continue to weigh whether to publish an audio recording and transcript of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s recent conversation with Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

The administration’s handling of the Epstein case,as well as the need to craft a unified response, is expected to be a main focus of the dinner, three sources familiar with the meeting told CNN. The meeting will include White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and Blanche.

With the exception of Vance, the White House considers those officials the leaders of the administration’songoing strategy regarding the Epstein files, two of the sources said.

The meeting comes as Trump’s administration is considering releasing the contents of Blanche’s interview last month with Maxwell. Two officials told CNN that thematerials could be made public as early as this week. (more)

“Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control. Local “youths” and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens,at the same time knowing that they will be almost immediately released. They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it’s going to happen now!
