Oddly enough they try to act like republicans to make you bolder I believe to try to frame any Trump supporter this why I did not vote in the last election. They do this as a form of intimation against people to ensure they do not vote for anyone they do not want or like. To say you must become a social democrat or communist and give them any thing you have because they are poor.
I am not rich or anything they just assume if you have a good job you can be extorted in this way. Easy money for them.
