This does not stop them from having snacks. It removes convenience foods, which are terrible for everyone, and more expensive. They can buy butter, sugar and flour.

 

These people are on government assistance. The government paying for malnutrition only increases the costs of healthcare and would be not only counter-productive but also illogical.

Of course. I could have been a little more explicit.

 

If they are paying for it, it's their business. But, they shouldn't expect other people to pay for their bad choices, although they are free to disagree, where we are today.

Sometimes I really think the government should be a lot smaller and our communities should be smaller. Then the citizens could actually know their elected officials and be more directly involved, and do something about things when they go wrong.

 

National and local elections should be separate and politicians in the federal government should not be able to endorse or interfere in local politics.
