It's a known phenomena, that when their design reaches this stage unpredictable forces appear within it. Unfortunately, as they're only capable of passing their plans down through a thousand years long game of telephone, they were grossly mistaken about the nature of those forces. When they witnessed the next generation of western men doing nothing but binging on electronic entertainment they mistakenly believed it was immorality to blame, rather than that the devices they've built are literally destroying people's minds. So they responded by attempting to import "more moral" people to do the jobs they believed nobody was willing to do. It's such an insanely stupid solution that it looks terribly evil, and in fact evil people have latched on to it and stoked the fires in an attempt to provoke a bloodbath, "proving" that you really are all terrible people, to bury the truth of what actually happened and why, which would necessarily provoke the world's population to reject those with wicked minds and actually start working to build something better (which wouldn't have space for whatever perverse predilections they may harbour).

I talked to someone from Afghanistan once about how Tartaria was erased from history, claiming that historians were wrong and it was always part of other nations. He was surprised, and claimed that's the exact same thing that was happening in his homeland: "terrorists" invade individual villages, then coalition forces storm in and install the mechanisms of the national government, which had never existed there before, insisting that they were always subject to the nation state.

I'm just gonna be blunt. I'm pretty sure that Jesus disappeared into the dessert without a word after being baptized because he saw that it really was just a hollow ritual, and he became deeply disillusioned with a society which was totally incapable of seeing the God they professed worship for.

No, the whole problem is that there is a very real, and truly great God, which people obviously did recognize at one point. At the end of an age however, people twist those very same teaching into an absurdly bastardized form such as the one you've just presented, to sell the complete opposite of the truth.

I firmly believe that science, done correctly, is the path to salvation for humanity. Because of this I have been as open and honest as I can possibly be about what I've seen and experienced, and what goes on in my head, in an attempt to provide as clear and complete a record as I can about the unique nature of my experiences. I understand that this rubs many people the wrong way, especially those who insist that lying is essential to making the world work, but I hold a firm conviction that this path is the only way forwards, no matter how many times civilization breaks and we must pick up the pieces again. We DO learn from each failure, and we WILL succeed eventually.

Oh, another interesting point I've learned recently. Apparently the theory of natural selection was developed independently by someone other than Dawkins, except THAT theory actually maintained there there must still be some supernatural element involved.

You've been lied to about the nature of science for a LONG time.
