I have had multiple repair surgeries on my legs. Many times, just starting out, I have preferred those without wheels. right after surgery. When it takes time to actually move your leg to a stable position, you lean more heavily on the walker. You don't need the wheels moving at all.
I didn't know anything about why she has to use a walker. I would say she is having real problems staying balanced on her feet and take it slow.
