Some of the images he posts are jpeg, though I believe only originals are png.

Not 100% certain on that as I didn't sift back through every post.

Messages can be put in any image though, various decrypt options available on the internet, or the anon that posted python script to narrow the possibilities.

Roger, I left SS thread early because it was all about that image, and I wanted to find more about scanning for potential messages.

I'll keep digging and if I find something will post there as well.
