Now, tens of thousands Chinese people are becoming homeless——Because they are Blacklisted by Social Credit System.

Once you are blacklisted, you are immediately cut off from banking and digital wallet——This makes it hard for you to pay rent, buy food, or receive salary. So employers don't want to hire you. Many blacklisted people end up becoming homeless.

Once you are blacklisted by Social Credit System, you are immediately banned from spending your own digital money. So you can't use your digital wallet WeChat to buy train ticket, pay rent, buy food..or even receive salary——So employers don't want to hire you.

In China, due to the social credit score system, a group of people have become homeless. Those whose scores fall below 400 are unable to rent or purchase housing, even if they have the money, leaving them with no choice but to sleep on the streets

Volkswagen Is Locking Horsepower Behind a Subscription Fee

ID.3 Pure buyers in the United Kingdom can pay the equivalent of $22.50 a month to unlock 20 hp, or $879 in total to have it permanently.

The Volkswagen ID.3, a Golf-like electric hatchback not sold on the American market, is not particularly powerful outside of its performance-focused GTX trim level. Like many EVs, the basic ID.3 can be optioned with more horsepower without any actual change to its hardware change. Unlike most of those cars, however, British-market buyers can now opt to pay a monthly fee for that horsepower increase.

Although any horsepower subscription is an alarming step for consumers, the ID.3 Pure's offering is made all the more unfortunate because Volkswagen U.K. advertises the car with 168 hp on its website. An "important information" button reveals the details in fine print, where a disclaimer notes that "Engine power is [148 hp] as standard, [168 hp] if you activate the optional power upgrade for a fee. Choice of one-month free trial or subscription (one month, one year or outright purchase for lifetime of car. See your In-car Shop or the Volkswagen Connect Shop for up to date pricing."
