PUTIN-TRUMP in AK

Putin - history of joining together to defeat common enemy.

Putin - US-RUS relations at lowest level since Cold War (Trump nods in agreement)

Putin - UKR and RUS have common roots and the war is a tragedy for RUS. Putin - Settlement must be long lasting; must resolve the primary cause of the problem. (Trump nods his head in agreement)

Putin - hope EUR will perceive the (main points) constructively and that they won't throw a monkey wrench into the negotiations, and not do backroom deals and provocations, and torpedo the progress of peace. (Trump stonefaced)

Putin - RUS has had a 20% growth rate. RUS & US have a lot to offer each other (trade). Hopes they succeed in the political sphere.

Putin - tried to work with the last administration (Biden), and what would bring on hostilities. (They crossed the red line.)

Putin - feels Trump is trustworthy - working towards the end of the conflict.

Trump - Very productive meeting, but not there yet. Big issues agreed on.

Trump - Will call NATO (first), and then various appropriate people, and then Zelensky. They have to agree on the negotiations.

Trump - RUS business reps present also helped w/ negotiations.

Trump - Good relationship w/ Putin. Putin understood the RUS RUS RUSgate stuff was nonsense, saw right thru it. Made it hard to deal with RUS in his first administrations.

Trump - only a few points left (to resolve).. One is significant.

Putin invites Trump to Moscow for their next meeting.

Trump hesitant, says he might take some heat for that.

Found it interesting the first call goes to NATO.

Found it interesting that Putin called out EU.

Will EU do a false flag to derail the negotiations?
