>Does anyone know WHAT THE RED LINE IS?
It is a point of no return. A point were one opponent has agitated another to the point of forcing a response.
Putin warned NATO over and over and over to stop expanding NATO right up to the Russia border. NATO was the agitator. Obama admin involved in the Orange Revolution etc.
Then they started on Ukraine. Ukraine wanted to be in NATO. Attacks continued on the ethnic Russians in Ukraine. Those were the last straws, the red line. They continued to cross the red lines, and Putin responded by invading.
Russia had no problem with Ukraine being a separate country, as long as there were no attacks on the ethnic Russians, and as long as NATO agreed to honor the agreement not to envelop countries on its borders, which of course, NATO violated.
They already admitted the had no intention of honoring the agreement w/ Russia, they just needed time to gather enough forces against Russia.
Ukraine historically has been part of Russia, which is what Putin was explaining in the presser yesterday, and because of that, it why it has been distressing to Russia to have to invade to stop the killing of ethnic Russians (and therefore displacing ethnic Russians from their homes), and to put an end to NATO expansion.
What was one of the first targets? The Ukrainian Neo-Nazis.
