King Charles III aimed to overhaul royal operations after facing devastating health challenges in 2024, according to a new biography.
The 76-year-old monarch was in serious trouble due to the health crisis within the family as Princess Kate was also fighting for life following her cancer diagnosis.
A new edition of Robert Hardman's biography of the King, Charles III: The Inside Story revealed that there was a clear sense of the 76-year-old monarch "wanting to reset royal operations after heath woes which befell the monarchy in 2024."
The expert, according to Daily Mail, revealed: "The public had to be periodically reminded that he was still undergoing treatment for cancer.
"The King was not trying to conceal or minimise the fact; he just preferred not to be defined by it."
By the end of 2024, the King had resumed near-normal duties, including international visits like his trip to Australia ahead of the Commonwealth summit in Samoa.
However, with the King's return to royal duties came a resurgence of external challenges, or "headwinds," which had subsided during the family's focus on his health.
The expert continued: "These challenges posed new tests for the monarch as he navigated his role while managing his health."
