Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she had an “exceptionally productive” meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney, and that she is optimistic the federal government will consider Alberta’s priorities moving forward.

Smith made the comments on Sept. 11, a day after meeting with Carney in Edmonton, where the prime minister was gathering with his Liberal caucus this week ahead of the fall sitting of Parliament. She said that while some details still need to be finalized, an agreement that benefits both the province and the country may come soon.

“I am more optimistic than ever that the concerns of Albertans are FINALLY BEING HEARD and I look forward to reaching an agreement that will profoundly benefit the Canadian and Alberta economies,” Smith said in a Sept. 11 social media post.

“The work is not yet complete and I know many Albertans feel that the rug has been pulled from underneath our feet too many times to count, but I ask for a bit more time, patience and faith as we owe it to our province and country to see this process through.”

Ahead of the meeting, Smith had said she would reiterate her policy demands to Carney in person, as she was looking for “real movement” on federal policies she says have harmed Alberta’s economy or infringed on its sovereignty.

After Carney took office earlier this year, Smith called for nine federal policy changes she said Ottawa needed to address to “avoid an unprecedented national unity crisis.” Continue…

Canadians are now able to submit a claim as part of a $500 million class-action settlement related to alleged industry-wide price fixing of packaged bread.

Strosberg Wingfield Sasso LLP and Orr Taylor LLP announced on Sept. 11 that the claims process in the approved settlement involving Loblaw Companies Ltd. and its parent company, George Weston Ltd., is now open. The law firms are counsel in the class-action lawsuit against Loblaw and several other grocers, including Sobeys and Walmart Canada.

“This resolution provides Canadian consumers with monetary relief they deserve,” Orr Taylor LLP partner Jim Orr said in a Sept. 11 statement.

Compensation is available for Canadian residents who purchased packaged bread products for personal use between Jan. 1, 2001, and Dec. 31, 2021. Those looking to submit a claim form must do so by Dec. 12. Proof of purchase is not required to submit a claims form.

The packaged bread products that were part of the alleged scheme include bagged bread, buns, rolls, bagels, naan bread, English muffins, wraps, pita, and tortillas.

“We encourage Canadian consumers who purchased Packaged Bread to apply for compensation under the settlement,”

Strosberg Wingfield Sasso LLP managing partner Jay Strosberg said in a Sept. 11 statement. “We have designed a claims process that is straightforward and easy for consumers to use.” Continue…

Foreign Affairs Minister Says Canada ‘Evaluating’ Relations With Israel After Qatar Strike

https://www.theepochtimes.com/world/foreign-affairs-minister-says-canada-evaluating-relations-with-israel-after-qatar-strike-5913711?ea_src=ca-frontpage&ea_med=foreign-affairs-minister-says-canada-%E2%80%98evaluating%E2%80%99-relations-with-israel-after-qatar-strike-0

Canada’s foreign affairs minister says the federal government is “evaluating” its relationship with Israel after the country’s Sept. 9 strike on Qatar.

Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand made the comments Sept. 10 on the sidelines of the Liberal caucus retreat in Edmonton, saying Israel’s strike on Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital of Doha interrupted Qatar’s efforts to broker peace between Hamas and Israel amid their ongoing war.

“We are evaluating the relationship with Israel. Of course, the attack yesterday on Qatar was one that was unacceptable. It was a violation of Qatari airspace,” Anand said. “There were deaths on the ground at a time when Qatar was trying to facilitate peace.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called his nation’s Sept. 9 strike “fully justified” and said its goal was to eliminate those behind the Hamas terrorist attacks of Oct. 7, 2023, as well as retaliation for a Sept. 8 attack at a Jerusalem bus stop that killed four Israel Defence Forces (IDF) soldiers.

Hamas representatives said Israel’s strike was a “heinous crime” that killed five Hamas members and the son of negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, but denied that any of its leaders had been killed.

Prime Minister Mark Carney previously condemned Israel’s strike, saying Sept. 9 on social media that it was an “intolerable expansion of violence” that poses “a grave risk of escalating conflict throughout the region” and disrupts “efforts to advance peace & security.” Continue…

The Davis Cup World Group I tie between Canada and Israel taking place in Halifax this weekend will now be a closed venue with no fans permitted in attendance, Tennis Canada says.

The organization made the announcement on Sept. 9, citing “escalating safety concerns.” It noted the decision was “not taken lightly” and was made in consultation with the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

“Intelligence received from local authorities and national security agencies, combined with disruptions witnessed at other recent events both in Canada and internationally, indicated a risk of significant disruption to this event,” Tennis Canada said in a Sept. 9 news release.

Halifax police spokesperson Marla MacInnis told The Epoch Times in an email the force was not involved in the decision and did not provide Tennis Canada with a risk assessment.

“Halifax Regional Police will have a presence in and around the event to support public safety. For security reasons, we won’t be providing any further operational details,” MacInnis said.

The decision comes after some Canadian athletes and academics called on Tennis Canada to cancel the match due to Israel’s ongoing military action in Gaza against Hamas militants. Continue…

Some of Canada’s latest MAID recipients: An obese woman and a grieving widower

https://nationalpost.com/news/maid-report-obese-woman-grieving-widower?itm_source=canada

These kinds of cases highlight and validate what the disability community has been trying to point out: MAID is a risk to their right to life,' a doctor said

A severely obese woman in her 60s who sought euthanasia due to her “no longer having a will to live” and a widower whose request to have his life ended was mainly driven by emotional distress and grief over his dead spouse are the latest cases to draw concerns that some doctors are taking an overly broad interpretation of the law.

The anonymized cases highlighted in the latest report from the Ontario Coroner’s MAID Death Review Committee include people whose conditions were declared “grievous and irremediable” — incurable — and their deaths reasonably foreseeable because they refused all forms of care or had stopped eating and drinking.

https://henrymakow.com/2025/09/sept-11—did-mossad-shoot-cha.html

Brad Zerbo spent the last seven years constructing what I can honestly say is the most thorough, comprehensive, rigorous and normie-friendly proof of the lies of 9-11 and the real culprits.

His film CODEX 9/11 is a must-watch for all truth seekers and an important weapon in the arsenel against those forces that have infiltrated our nations over the course of generations and are driving us into a new global war of each against all as we speak.
