The U.S. Department of Agriculture will no longer fund solar panels on productive farmland or allow solar panels manufactured by foreign adversaries to be used in USDA projects.
Within the last 30 years, Tennessee alone has lost over 1.2 million acres of farmland and is expected to lose 2 million acres by 2027. This problem is not just in Tennessee, since2012, solar panels on farmland nationwide have increased by nearly 50%(Obama the America destroyer)
Subsidized solar farms are pricing farmers out of the market, according to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollin.
“Our prime farmland should not be wasted and replaced with green new deal subsidized solar panels. It has been disheartening to see our beautiful farmland displaced by solar projects, especially in rural areas that have strong agricultural heritage.One of the largest barriers of entry for new and young farmers is access to land. Subsidized solar farms have made it more difficult for farmers to access farmland by making it more expensive and less available,” Rollins said. “We are no longer allowing businesses to use your taxpayer dollars to fund solar projects on prime American farmland, and we will no longer allow solar panels manufactured by foreign adversaries to be used in our USDA-funded projects.”
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee welcomed the policy change.“Tennesseans know that our farmland is our national security, our economic future, and our children's heritage. We were honored to welcome Secretary Rollins to Tennessee this week, and I’m grateful for her leadership to defend America’s farmland from foreign adversaries and protect our food supply,” Lee said.
Representative Mike Bost, a Republican from Southern Illinois, said that taxpayer subsidies shouldn't price farmers seeking to feed our nation.
“We shouldn’t be subsidizing solar projects on prime farmland, that land is too valuable for producing the food and fuel our nation depends on,”Bost said in a statement. "Secretary Rollins is right to step in and make sure taxpayer dollars aren’t used to take our best farmland out of production, and I strongly support stopping the use of solar panels made by foreign adversaries. I’m proud to see that the Trump Administration continues to be committed to protecting American agriculture."
Effective immediately, USDA will implement the following programmatic actions:For the USDA Rural Development Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Program wind and solar projects are not eligible.
For the USDA Rural Development Rural Energy for America Program Guaranteed Loan Program, USDA will ensure that American farmers, ranchers and producers utilizing wind and solar energy sourceswill install units that are right-sized for their facilities. If project applications include ground mount solar photovoltaic systems larger than 50kW or ground mount solar photovoltaic systems that cannot document historical energy usage, they will no longer be eligible for the REAP Guaranteed Loan Program, and priority points will no longer be given for REAP grants. USDA Rural Development invests in rural America with loan, grant, and loan guarantee programs to promote rural prosperity.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) is immediately halting all activity on a massive offshore wind farm project that was established by the Biden Administration, according to a report from the Daily Caller.
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM, which falls under the DOI, is halting activity on the “Revolution Wind” project off the coast of Rhode Island and Connecticut effective immediately. President Donald Trump has long criticized wind farm projects, pointing to their notoriously unreliable output, foreign control of key components for wind projects and environmental concerns. (Sheldon Whitehouse’s RI, wife got a ton of ocean projects from the Senate and Bidan, a totally useless company and lie that fed Green New Scam deals. All NE states have almost all democrats senators.)
In recent weeks and months, the DOI has dealt a number of significant blows to the wind energy industry, including an end to Biden-era “preferential treatment” and moving to terminate the massive Lava Ridge Wind Project in southern Idaho. The latter project was green-lit just weeks before President Trump returned to office.
“Americans deserve energy that is affordable, reliable, and built to last — not experimental and expensive wind projects that are proven failures,” DOI deputy press secretary Aubrie Spady told the Daily Caller. “In line with President Donald Trump’s Energy Dominance Agenda, Interior is putting an immediate stop to these costly failures to deliver a stronger energy future and lower costs for American families. Like President Trump said, ‘the days of stupidity are over in the USA!’”
The Biden Administration had approved the Revolution Wind project in 2023, which is located on the federally-owned Outer Continental Shelf. Cancelling the project follows in line with the Trump Administration’s radical shift on energy policy, namely in shifting focus away from solar and wing projects in favor of traditional energy sources.
Trump signed an executive order directing the DOI to “revise any identified regulations, guidance, policies, and practices as appropriate and consistent with applicable law to eliminate any such preferences for wind and solar facilities” on July 7.The order fulfilled a popular campaign promise from the president to end his predecessor’s “green new deal” policies in favor of a “drill baby drill” agenda.
“Any State that has built and relied on WINDMILLS and SOLAR for power are seeing RECORD BREAKING INCREASES IN ELECTRICITY AND ENERGY COSTS,” the president posted on Truth Social earlier this week. “THE SCAM OF THE CENTURY! We will not approve wind or farmer destroying Solar. The days of stupidity are over in the USA!!!”
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum reiterated the administration’s opposition to wind farms in a social media post of his own, which noted that wind farms have depleted populations of eagles and other rare bird species. Offshore wind farms like Revolution Wind have also faced criticism for killing whales and dolphins, oftentimes from environmental groups that often support left-wing political causes and candidates.
“Wind projects are known to kill eagles, and climate extremists in the Biden admin still greenlit scores of these projects,” Burgum posted on X. “[The DOI] is enforcing the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act to ensure that our national bird is not sacrificed for unreliable wind facilities!”
The Trump administration also pulled a permit for a massive pending New Jersey offshore wind project in March.

North Carolina woman yanks the hair of a young pickpocket in Venice, Italy, causing the suspected thief to have a screaming meltdown.
The mother of 8 tracked down the suspect by using the ‘Find My’ app to locate the missing AirPods and her passport.
“I have eight kids, you’re not getting to me,” she told the suspected thief.
Right before the girls were arrested, one of them smacked the mom with a purse which had a metal water bottle in it.
“So my mom had a massive gash on her head, and it was bleeding everywhere. She got a black eye from it, and the girls were arrested. And then my mom had to go to the hospital and get some stitches,” the mother’s daughter, Karis McElroy said.
The mom ended up getting her passport and credit cards back.
This woman is a beast.

Former Secretary of State Antony Blinken was kicked off a popular New York beach on Fridayamid closures that were implemented while Hurricane Erin created dangerous conditions as it barreled through offshore.
Photos obtained byFox News show Blinken and an unidentified female companion relaxing on beach chairs as they talked and looked stared off into the water at Georgica Beach in East Hampton.
A lifeguard in a patrol vehicle then approached the two, and after a short conversation, they were seen gathering up their belongings, including beach chairs, shoes and a beach towel. The two then proceeded to make their way across the sand and through the parking lot.
East Hampton beaches, including Georgia Beach, were closed for several days due to the hazardous conditions produced along the East Coast by Hurricane Erin, a spokesperson for East Hampton Village’s Main Beach Office told Fox News in an email statement. “The water was closed until last night as per Suffolk County,” the spokesperson added.
The beach was later opened to foot traffic by midday on Friday after the tide receded, though it was closed prior to that. It is not known whether Blinken was actively violating the closures when the photographs were taken.
“The beach was closed to foot traffic as well all Thursday and Friday until around midday,” the spokesperson told Fox News. “Friday we were able to open each beach to foot traffic after the tide dropped out. The storm brought strong rip currents, storm surge waves and large debris. All our precautions were to keep patrons and staff as safe as possible!”
…The cyclone ultimately did not make landfall in the United States, but it did cause dangerous conditions at sea and had several states bracing for potential problems. In New York, Governor Kathy Hochul urged beachgoers to exercise extreme caution and pay attention to current forecasts.
“New Yorkers are no strangers to hurricanes — that is why I’m urging those living in areas that may be impacted to stay safe and exercise caution until the hurricane tapers off later this week,” Hochul said in a statement this past Tuesday.
For Blinken, he was returning to the scene of an infamous photo, where he was seen lounging around at the Hamptons as Taliban forces took control of Afghanistan in 2021.
