Jeffrey Tucker and Cooper Davis: We are medicating our children to death

Last week, Cooper Davis co-authored an article warning Americans of the universal mental health screening for children. His article was prompted by the Governor of Illinois signing a new law mandating universal mental health screenings for every child in public schools.
“This includes healthy children with no signs of behavioural problems. Parents can theoretically opt out, but they’ll have to do so repeatedly, as the screenings will be given at least once a year from grades 3-12,” the authors wrote.
The very real concerns with these types of common mental health screenings are that a mental health professional might view the results and conclude that your child has a mental health issue requiring psychiatric diagnosis, treatment or even medication.
Yesterday, Davis joined Jeffrey Tucker to sound the alarm on the increasing medicalisation and chemicalisation of everyone and everything.
