The zip ties found are used to seal the plastic bags of cremains closed and they hold a metal tag with identifying info on it. Use a metal detector in the area and you might just find the source. The perps could have collected the tags and dumped them nearby. Tags are typically discolored with corrosion as I believe the tag goes into the oven with the body.
