Somethibg else which bears repeating:

Science represents the world we do know, while spirituality represents the world we can't strictly define.

The problem I see with modern science is an institutional contempt for the very concept that anything which hasn't been strictly defined might exist. It's turned the whole field into some sort of bastardized legalise, from which psychopaths derive power over others.
