Catelin Drey, the democrat who just flipped a state senate seat in deep-red Iowa by a 20 % pt shift, said on CNN (8/29/25 6:20 PT) that she "met voters where they are at" by going door to door, using her college SPANISH to ask voters what they need, among other things.

Time to examine voter roles in that district in Iowa?

Are non-English speakers dominating the roles, and determining the vote, as she so casually and matter-of-factly seems to suggest?

_______

"Iowa Democrats scored a big win on Aug. 26 as Catelin Drey defeated Republican Christopher Prosch in a special election for state Senate District 1."

The special election was held to fill the seat of a Republican who passed away in June of pancreatic cancer.Flipping the seat broke the supermajority held by Republicans in the State senate.

Her victory represents a 20-percent flip from 10 months ago of voters in the district.

"Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won those same precincts by 11 points in the 2024 general election. That same year, votes for the two Iowa House seats (Districts 1 and 2) in the district leaned Republican by a combined nine points."

"Drey, however, tipped the scales to the left with a 10-point victory of her own."

That adds up to 20-point difference between November 2024 and August 2025.

Sounds fishy.
