According to CryptoCompare, “Client applications can access, store, mutate and communicate on the network. The clients allow people to anonymously join the network and cannot prevent people joining. Data is presented to clients as virtual drives mounted on their machines, application data, internal to applications, communication data as well as dynamic data that is manipulated via client applications depending on the programming methods employed. Examples of client apps are; cloud storage, encrypted messaging, web sites, crypto wallets, document processing of any data provided by any program, distributed databases, research sharing of documents, research and ideas with IPR protection if required, document signing, contract signing, decentralized co-operative groups or companies, trading mechanisms and many others. The clients can access every Internet service known today and introduce many services currently not possible with a centralised architecture. These clients, when accessing the network, will ensure that users never type another password to access any further services. The client contains many cryptographically secured key pairs and can use these automatically sign requests for session management or membership of any network service. Therefore, a website with membership can present a join button and merely clicking that would sign an authority and allow access in the future. Digital voting, aggregated news, knowledge transfer of even very secret information is now all possible, and this is just the beginning! “

Buying and Selling MaidSafeCoin

MaidSafeCoin can be bought or sold on these cryptocurrency exchanges: Cryptopia, OpenLedger DEX, Poloniex and HitBTC. It is usually not currently possible to purchase alternative cryptocurrencies such as MaidSafeCoin directly using U.S. dollars. SAFE Network versus (vs) Everything

SAFE (Secure Access For Everyone) Network is the single most expansive and ambitious network software project since the creation of Arpanet by the United States Department of Defense which led to the internet we have today. Safe Network is an open source project created by a Scottish corporation Maidsafe Inc., started in 2006 and brainchild of David Irvine. There are probably many ways in which Safe Network can be defined. This is my attempt to simplify to the tech savy user what puts Safe Network ahead of basically every other technology in the crypto space. There are many technologies that compete with some aspects of Safe Network but nothing that seems to competes with it as a whole. The goal of this post is to reach epistemological certainty without confirmation bias. Safe Network is great but there are gaps in every technology and as different technologies mature so do the dynamics of their advantages and disadvantages. This post will update slowly and steadily as the feedback loop of crypto space news and technical criticisms define the analytical foundations of each technology. The most efficient way to do this is through an outline, so hence dynalist. If you feel there are glaring mistakes please go to the Safenetwork Forum post "SAFE Network versus (vs) Everything (v.2)" and post your concern. So lets get started!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAFE_Network

The SAFE Network is an autonomous peer-to-peer network developed by MaidSafe, a software development company based in Scotland. It was designed by David Irvine and is an open-source project. The SAFE in SAFE Network stands for Secure Access for Everyone and the software is in the alpha testing phase.[1]

Overview

The SAFE Network uses a consensus algorithm named PARSEC.[2] The software was first designed in 2006 as an encrypted overlay network that replaces the top four OSI layers of the current Internet: the application, presentation, session and transport layers. It is self-encrypted which describes the way that data stored on the network is broken into chunks with each chunk encrypted using a key derived from the other chunks; and a modified Kademlia distributed hash table which uses the logical operation XOR to ensure the randomized distribution and unique location of each data chunk on the network and which also incorporates a public key infrastructure for security.[3]

SAFE Network is currently in Alpha public testing phase[4]. Upon launch, it will have an internal currency called Safecoin.[5][6]. Safecoin will be exchangeable with other fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies.

The decentralized network is planned in such a way that the security is enhanced by splitting the data into encrypted chunks and spreading them at random over the network, with at least four copies of each chunk being maintained to ensure resilience.[7][8]
